Decent placements are provided to students at JIS College of Engineering. After 3rd-semester students become eligible for the placement and several companies like Bandhan Bank, Axis Bank, Primal Finance, etc. visit the college for hiring. Almost 80% of the students get placed. The average package provided was INR 400000/year. So many companies are visited such as Flipkart, TCS, Justdial, and IBM.

Admission to postgraduate admission is done based on merit in GATE/ PGET/ AMPAI-W /WB-JE MAT. JIS College of Engineering offers MBA admissions to eligible candidates with a valid score in one of the accepted entrance exams. These exams are MAT/JEMAT/AMPAI-WB. Candidates who have appeared for CAT/XAT can also apply. Hence, the first step in the admission procedure is to apply and appear for one of the accepted entrance exams.

Candidates with a valid exam score must visit the official MSRIT website to register their candidature. The college shortlists candidates based on their performance in the entrance exam as well as the Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI) conducted by the college. It also considers the past academic records and work experience of the candidates. Shortlisted candidates must confirm their admission by reporting to the campus with the required documents and submitting the applicable JISCE MBA fees.

The median package for B.Tech courses is 4.5 LPA based on 2022 placements drive. The students gets multiple placements based on their scores and their experience. The packages may go upto 10 LPA based on the performance of students. 

In JISCE every course is best in their domain but as far as the innovation, research and holistic studies are concerned ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering) is the best engineering course. CSE and CST are also equally best as the demand is very high for these course.
