On Highlights
Q:   What is the cost of missing on attendance at Kamala Nehru College?
A:

Attendance at Kamala Nehru College is mandatory for appearing in the exams. Students must attend the classes as the classes involve important lectures and several important discussions. Missing attendance means missing a bright future. A lot of students join DU with the thought process that now life will be good and there will be no studies. This thinking is absolutely wrong as top recruiters pick students from college who have secured good grades in their internal exams. Hence, attending classes must be a supreme priority for students.

A shiny exposure with minor alerts.
Placements: My course didn't provide any placements, but we can have them after doing a Master's. For example, after doing remote sensing-specific urban town planning or some other field, such as disaster management. We can get a place in companies like Apple or Google as a satellite reader or human population trends detector.
Infrastructure: Canteen food, library, and labs are good, but geography department classrooms are not enough according to class size. The classes don't fit in it and are also very congested. We have to take chairs from the department, and it's very hectic for daily classes. Even after getting chairs, students have to sit outside of class.
Faculty: Some teachers are really helpful and teach the concept with clarity, while a few of them are here for targeting students and making them feel useless. I don't know why they are doing it like this, but it's true. Even they expect every concept to be clear from us without proper teaching.
Other: I chose it because of my interest, it provides me exposure to the world. As a geography student, I get a chance to look more closely into the Earth and human relations. My course can improve my practical knowledge, so we can get placements after UG.

Dissatisfied because of average placement, faculty, and infrastructure.
Placements: My college has more than 140 students of my course in the current batch. About 50-60 percent of them got placed. 40-50 percent of students got internships. The average package is about 5 LPA-6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Deloitte, PwC, Goldman Sachs, etc. Top roles offered include marketing head, associate, manager, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the old building of the college is fine, with non-conditioned classrooms. Labs are well-equipped and the college also has Wi-Fi. Canteen food is average. Hostel is not provided by this college. The new building, which was just made a few years ago, is well-equipped with air-conditioned rooms. The college does renovation when it seems fit.
Faculty: Faculty is top-notch for a few subjects, whereas a few lag behind in knowledge and teaching. I think this course is relevant as it gives students a diverse perspective about business, marketing, taxation, etc. Semester exams are not that difficult if you have the right faculty. They are quite easy, and we have a 90 percent pass percentage.
Other: The crowd of the college is quite nice and from diverse places, which makes interaction quite helpful and knowledgeable. Fests are also nice, and various society fests and other events do happen. Face painting, happiness day, etc., also happen in college to get stress-free.

Average infrastructure yet decent faculty.
Placements: The course I am studying is History (Hons), and being completely transparent, there aren't many placements, especially in our course. Most of the students who get average placements are fewer in number and are doing a commerce-related course. That's quite a drawback of the college that it doesn't provide great placement availability.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of our college is decent, but if we specifically talk about certain departments, it's not very great. There are fewer benches and a larger number of students, and at the start of my college, I literally had to take a few lectures just standing and not even getting a proper chair to sit. So, it's kind of average according to me.
Faculty: The teachers are quite knowledgeable in their specialised subjects, no doubt about that, and they also help the students in need of different material sources and trips of tempting answers in a more better manner. The semester exams are medium to hard level, and the students pass in a good percentage.
Other: I chose this course because the main reason is that it's what interests me, and secondly, I came to Delhi for studying this specific course because it wasn't available in any of the colleges in my hometown.

KNC is good for psychology and other honors courses.
Placements: There are no placements. You have to be active in your own course and secure a good CGPA to get yourself a decent job in this field. The college provides no placement drives. You are on your own after graduation. You'll have to get internships yourself to get into a place you want. The overall placement is nearly zero.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are well maintained. Wi-Fi and library facilities are there. Kamala Nehru College does not provide hostel facilities. However, you can get plenty of PG accommodations near the college. The canteen is also decent and well-maintained. The campus is beautiful but not that big. However, you will get a good experience overall.
Faculty: The teachers are great. There are expert teachers with a helpful and gentle mindset. There is a practical and exam-focused curriculum. A good college for pursuing psychology. Exams are held semester-wise. You will get good marks if you study according to the professor's method. The course is good.

My college is quite peaceful and good for studies however, it needs strong student activism.
Placements: I am in my 1st year, so no, we did not go through the placement season yet however, the internship fair did happen in my college. To be honest, I wasn't an active member there either. I think a few students did land good internships in BHEL.
Infrastructure: The economics department does not have separate labs or anything. However, the Wi-Fi condition of our college is pretty good, and the classrooms are decent as well. Sometimes we do face space issues in the classes. The library can be made better. There are good sports complexes in my college.
Faculty: The teachers are quite friendly however we do face some issues with some of them. I feel the course curriculum is relevant. The exams are pretty decent and sometimes unpredictably tough. Passing percentage, to be honest, I don't know because I never faced that issue however, quite a few students do face it in exams.
Other: I like studying social Science and Maths that is why I chose this course. I feel we can get some technical knowledge and market knowledge to bridge the gap and lag in theory.

Good college, decent placement, and infrastructure.
Placements: Around 40-50 percent of students got placed. The highest package is 10 LPA-11 LPA and the average is 4 LPA-5 LPA. Top recruiters are Deloitte, PwC, EY, LensKart, etc. Roles offered are sales intern, business operation executive, marketing intern, operations intern, human resources intern, etc.
Infrastructure: Earlier, there was a shortage of classrooms, but recently a new building has been constructed, so now the college is working towards improving infrastructure. A hostel is not available, so students from outside live in flats or PG. The canteen is average. Sports and game facilities are good. Many children participate in inter-college competitions and win prizes.
Faculty: There are some teachers who don't teach properly, while some teachers teach very well. The curriculum is not good because it is not updated continuously and doesn't make students industry-ready. It is easy to pass the semester as most of the questions get repeated every year. Most of the students clear their exams if they study well.
Other: I was interested in commerce, so I chose B.Com. I like the subjects that are taught, like cost accounting, financial management, etc. I want them to add more practical subjects. They organise good events but should organise more events.
