Kamala Nehru College Student Review- Great Faculty but poor Infrastructure.
Placements: Since it's a Delhi University college, placements are only 0-3%. In my course, there are no direct job opportunities, leading to almost zero placements. The college does have a placement cell that informs students about internships and job opportunities from time to time.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel in Kamala Nehru College. The infrastructure of the labs is average—some equipment works, while some do not. Classrooms are below average, with poor fans, desks, and overall maintenance. The canteen food is average and has room for improvement.
Faculty: The faculty is well-qualified and dedicated. However, the curriculum is not relevant enough to make students industry-ready. The introduction of VAC, SEC, and AEC courses has provided students with opportunities to learn new skills that may be helpful. Semester exams are regulated by the university, with a passing difficulty ranging from easy to medium and no strict standards.
Other: Things are gradually improving with the appointment of a new principal. Fests are held during even semesters and are worth looking forward to. Clubs and societies offer students opportunities to network and develop skills.

One of the Best Colleges of DU.
Placements: Sociology is one of the best courses related to everyday life. About 30-35 percent of students have been placed in this course. The highest package was 44 LPA and the lowest was 12 LPA. About 40 percent of students got internships in this course. This course is very useful for UPSC purposes.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good at Kamala Nehru College, and the faculty staff are also very experienced. Overall, the college is good. Classrooms are safe and large in size; some rooms are air-conditioned. Medical facilities are also available, and many sports events take place.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified at Kamala Nehru College of Delhi University. They are knowledgeable and very helpful in making our studies much easier. This course is very relevant, and yes, it can make a student industry-ready. Semester exams are not difficult; if you study well, you can score a very good SGPA.
Other: This course is very good. I liked it very much, and I am very confident that I will gain good experience in this course.

Dissatisfied with the placement, classes, and poor infrastructure, but good canteen food and auditor
Placements: I am not aware of how the placement works because I am currently in the second year. But based on the LinkedIn posts, our college collaborates with firms some of which you might not have even heard names of, but others like Wipro, Indian express, etc. which are pretty good. But it depends on which course are you pursuing. For example, there are only opportunities related to NGO service for sociology and political science students, while most of the companies come to take up students from either the commerce field or tech field that is in terms of marketing, advertising, sales, and finance associated. For my course particularly, Aashman Foundation is quite popular along with the NSS unit and the rest are all opportunities in the field of digital/social media marketing only. There are very few like almost zero recruiters for the journalism field and even lesser for disciplines like Hindi or language which is quite upsetting. Overall I think out of 100% only 15 or 20% of students will be able to establish themselves in their careers and respective fields. For the rest, either the field changes for Masters or they need to source for jobs on their own. Therefore the placement cell is quite useless.
Infrastructure: Apart from the canteen, every place is horrible. Ceilings are falling from above, and extremely small benches and desks that don't even fit half the capacity while the college admitted over the top number of students. In a class of 75, only 20 people at max can fit in one class. Very dirty desks no maintenance whatsoever even during exams, they are full of dust and bird *** all over. The biggest problem is that the fans don't work. Considering the hot weather of Delhi, the fans just don't run making it all the more difficult. Air conditioners are no less. There are only very few air-conditioned rooms that too for teachers, that also don't work. In our journalism lab, there are 3 air-conditioners and even if they run for 3 continuous hours, you will still sweat. That is how bad and ineffectively they work since there is no maintenance or care. In terms of medical facilities, one small medical room only. With around 5,6 beds of basic medicare. And there is no washroom for girls though it's a girls' college on the ground floor. There's only a washroom for the staff. In terms of sports, NSO works well but otherwise no inter or intra-college sports are encouraged for students. No hostel for students. Only for teachers that too not sure. The buildings of the college are older than the Taj Mahal, they are that bad, rusted, falling in some area or the other all the time. Needs repairs every other day. The best auditorium is in our college that is the only good thing.
Faculty: Teachers are pretty much qualified, knowledgeable, and informed. But some of them don't know how to teach. They make the class very boring and lame but some of them are active engagers and make learning fun. The course is not available in many colleges at DU but is available in ours so that's a good thing on the other hand. We don't get placements being the pursuers of this course. Semester exams are normally difficult as they should be. But mid-semesters are very hectic because we get overburdened by assignments. We get a lot of them.
Other: I chose this course because wanted to pursue civil services but changed my mind and now I am going ahead with journalism. But I am scared because there are very fewer opportunities for Journalism field students given by the college. I want necessities to improve in college. Better fans, regular care, air-conditioners if possible and some activities to take place. The south Delhi area is nice, so this is an advantage that the college is located at a safe and well-connected location. Fests are just a black mark, in the name of fests. The campus is so small that one cannot fit in more than 500 people on the ground too confusedly.

Review of Kamala Nehru College.
Placements: I'm a first-year student. Few of our seniors got internships in various companies. College has a placement cell Prospicio which helps students with internships. It organises a huge internship fair every year.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are very small. Library is magnificent with a variety of books. Canteen is also nice. There is a huge auditorium. College has a gym, music room, and a newly built academic block with beautiful paintings on walls. College has huge playgrounds and a beautiful garden with various colorful flowers at the entrance.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful. They give various assignments to prepare us for the semester exams. Since I'm a sociology student we are given projects that require actual fieldwork. This is very helpful for those who want to go for research in the future.
Other: Location of the college is very nice. College has various societies and clubs which organise inter and intra-college competitions.

Would surely love to recommend. The college promises in providing the best of academic opportunities
Placements: The kamala nehru college have not failed in terms of meeting the acceptations of the students. It has an effective placement cell that helps students to get through the companies. The placement cell of our college is known as Prospico. It gives information regarding any kind of internships such as smartican cashkaro etc. Overall Prospico have proved to be one of those effective cells and fully provides opportunities for the students. The average placement packet per year is INR 4.5 to 5.5 Lacs. The companies offering jobs ranges from Wipro, NIIT etc.
Infrastructure: The college provides a friendly atmosphere along with its significance given to academic success of the college. The classrooms are in a good condition though there are some rough works to be done. The library provides you with the full house of knowledge and definitely helps us as it gives the calm and soothing mood to a hectic academic routine. The college does't provide any hostel facilities yet. The canteen of our college is regarded as one of the positions in the list of the best canteens of the du colleges. Alongwith good quality food it is also reasonable in terms of its price.
Faculty: The teaching faculty of kamala nehru college is definitely one of the best. The teachers are always there at the time of need for the students who face any kind of issue regarding studies. In teaching methods I would like to highlight the fact that we are given assignments on a frequent basis that helps us to get in touch with the course. Moreover the teaching faculty has a helping nature to their students.
Other: The kamala nehru college comes up with a whole of scholarships for students in terms of merit and incomw attributes. The students belonging to the lower strata are provided financial assistance for their further studies. Alongwith these, the students who top their respective departments are also eligible for recieving scholarships. All these scholarships are distributed in the event of the college day every year. The college holds a variety of events and fests in different purposes. The college fest is of two days alongside with each dept fests as well. There are many notables who have paid visit to the college namely Laxmi Agarwal, Prof. R. K Singh etc. Apart of academic the college also encourages extra curricular activities.
