Placements are bad for B.E Mechanical in 2015.

Placements: Placements were bad in our college. From our entire batch, only the top 5% of the class got placed, and no major companies visited for recruitment except TCS. There was no interest shown by the placement committee to help the students.

Infrastructure: The mechanical engineering department building was old but manageable for classroom sessions. There was no Wi-Fi facility available on the campus. The hostel facilities were average, and the hostelite were forced to pay for mess food, which was really of bad quality.

Faculty: The course curriculum was vast and not industry-relevant as it was the old pattern by VTU. They did not prepare the students ready for industry. The teaching quality was moderate, and only a few professors had the required knowledge. My final year project ideas were initially rejected, which caused us delays in the project.

Other: I had a lot of interest in the core field of mechanical, but thanks to this college, I lost interest in the field. There were very few extracurricular activities like sports & only an annual tech cultural fest was conducted. I would have liked the course to be industry-relevant.

Good placements in the year 2015.

Placements: Placements in our college are very good as about 90% of the students get placed through campus placements. So, no need to worry about placements in this college. In Belgaum, the top college for campus placements is KLE. Most of the companies visit our college to recruit skilled and intelligent students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. A new building was built for the mechanical engineering branch with the approximate cost of 500 lacs. Laboratories are very good, clean and have proper ventilation. A playground is available to play cricket.

Faculty: Faculty members, especially in the mechanical engineering department are very good, and most of them have an experience of about 10 to 20 years. A library is present in the college with more than 1,00,000 books. Overall, the college library is good and has reading facilities as well.

Other: Invento is the event conducted every year. Scholarships are provided to students.
