A quick review of the engineering college.
Placements: Almost 40-50% of students were placed in the mechanical course. The highest package was 15 LPA and the lowest was 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Bosch, Daimler, Mercedes Benz, and Infosys. I don't have information about internships. The top roles are HR, account manager, and head of some companies.
Infrastructure: The facilities are good, with a wide variety of books available in our library. Classrooms are clean and well-maintained. Wi-Fi facilities are also available for students and staff. The lab is clean and well-equipped with machines. Hostel facilities are quite good. The quality of food is average in the canteen and moderate in the mess. Emergency medical facilities are available. Sports like cricket, tennis, table tennis, badminton, and other indoor games are practiced.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified, with better degrees like Ph.D. and BE. The teaching quality is very good. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant. It almost makes the students industry-ready. Semester examinations are quite difficult in our college. The pass percentage is 40 out of 100.
Other: I was interested in mechanical engineering and this college is near my native place. The best things about my college are that we can experience the industry and other real-life applications. There are two events annually: one is Insignia, which is held in the month of March, and the other is Fiesta, which is held in the month of November. Scholarship facilities are available for reserved students and OBC students. Extracurricular activities are less practiced.

I am so proud to study in this esteemed institute.
Placements: Many students get placed in reputed companies. About 80% students get placed. Companies like Mercedes Benz, Microsoft, Accenture etc. are the top recruiters. Internships are also provided by some companies.
Infrastructure: There are cameras around and inside the campus and we have got both online and offline library in our campus. Hostels are clean and separate hostels for boys and girls are available. They provide Wi-Fi connection and we also have multiple sports.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified in their respective fields and are supportive. There will be course related games and tests, in which students get interested to participate. Regarding passing percentage, 90% is the passing percentage.

Absolute environment to learn and develop ourselves.
Placements: Almost 40-50% of placements every year and 15 LPA is the highest package offered for mechanical till now, Mercedes, Amazon, industries are some of the top recruiters, all goes as per the allotted schedule and some internships are on campus and some are off-campus and staff helps in projects and all.
Infrastructure: There are 3-4 boys hostel and alone girls hostel, each room is shared by 3 people, Hygienic maintained, liable rules and healthy environment where student can approach diverse minds and do things well, overall good hospitality to students.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive, guide well about modern technologies, inventions, etc. and exams are conducted as scheduled, no abstract in the schedule it seems, practicals, theories all exams are conducted fairly and strictly and results will be declared within a month.
Other: I am not a techie, I am more into machines, gadgets and all, so mechanical was a good option and there should be an advancement in course eventually, events, extracurricular activities etc. are arranged as per scheduled.

It has good infrastructure and placements. More than 450 students are placed in the 2022 batch.
Placements: Almost 45% of the students are placed in our course, and the highest salary package offered is 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3.2 LPA. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA. Almost 28% of the students got internships from our course in companies like Mercedes Benz. Top roles offered in our course are as system engineer and research and development.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided in our college are excellent if you use the facilities according to our purpose. Good infrastructure is available for the mechanical department. Labs are available in a good manner and big amount of systems are also available. Wi-Fi is available in the hostel and on campus.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and they are highly qualified like M.Tech, B.E, and are doctorate holders. They are highly knowledgeable in their field. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant to the market and industry and it makes students industry-ready. There is no difficulty in the semester exams in college. The pass percentage is 95%.
Other: I chose this course with my interest and the best thing about our course is that we can go to the IT field and core field also. There is nothing to improve in our course. The events, fest, and campus crowd are of the next level.

It is an excellent college, so I would suggest students to take admission here.
Placements: From the recent batch, about 176 students out of 210 students have been already placed. In mechanical, the highest salary package offered is around 12 LPA to 15 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is around 5 LPA-6 LPA. More than 150 top companies like Amazon, Cisco and others visit here. About 100% internships are guaranteed by surrounding companies like Marco Polo, Hitachi, Bosch and others. The college offers a lot of other knowledge so that students are to be much resourceful after passing out and get other soft skills, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available all the time on the entire campus, and it is highly equipped with all the laboratory instruments. The classrooms setup is also very good with all smart teaching techniques. The library is an excellent source to enhance other than the course reading like for many civil service exams and also for extra knowledge. Online E-books are also available.
Faculty: The teachers here are student-friendly. They approach students with complete patience, as many of them are postgraduates who have been serving since 15 years on average. The course is very much relevant, and it makes students better with intelligence. This is also a good aspect as exams make yell of problems. However, here it's totally required testing semester exams, and the pass percentage is nearly 92%-94%.
Other: I am very interested in realistic materials like tools and engines of motors. As my father owns a company, so I thought of choosing this course. The best thing about BE in mechanical is it's the core branch which can be applied in a lot of things. There is no need to improve anything as it's well-set for all the knowledge to be grabbed. All types of innovative programs and events are conducted like Feasta, etc. It is a lush green campus and spread over about 52 hectares. It is located in the twin city, i.e., Hubli Dharwad. Scholarships are also provided for students on a talent basis. Many extra activities like quizzes, dance, singing and toastmasters clubs are available, which is a foremost important facility to have fluency in the language.

It is a really good college, and I highly recommend it.
Placements: About 50% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered was 6 LPA. Mungi Engineers was a leading recruiter, whereas Jindal Steel is the main internship provider. The quality assistant was the highest role offered here, and production engineer, maintenance engineer and Internet of Things engineer are also offered.
Infrastructure: Our college provides a free Wi-Fi facility, clean labs, hygienic food, digital library and a good environment to study. It is a travel-friendly and lush green campus, and the climate is friendly to study. Our college is located outside the city so that there is no pollution and less vehicles.
Faculty: There are very friendly and well-qualified teachers here. Our college has a course curriculum which makes students very much industry-ready. There is a Bosch training centre to bridge the gap between industry and college. Many programmes are conducted in our college to develop students knowledge, and many platforms are provided to improve students interests.

If you talk about placements related to CSE and ECE than it's one of the good as engg. college.
Placements: 1. 378 out of 600 were placed.
2. 22 LPA (the highest), 2.5 LPA (the lowest), 3.5 LPA (Average)
3. TCS, Infosys, L&T, Rexroth Bosch, Anil Group, Informatica, Mind Tree, Walmart Labs etc. recruited the students.
4. Software Developer, Technical Support, GET, Software Testing Engineer, Sales and Marketing Executive are some of the profiles for which students were placed.
Infrastructure: 1. Machine Shop, Heat Transfer Lab, Material Testing Lab, Hydraulics and Pneumatics Lab, Foundry and Forging Lab, Fluid Mechanics Laboratory, Dynamics of Machines Lab, Metrology Lab are some of the labs which will give you a practical knowledge of experiments are performed seriously.
2. Quality of Room is very good. Three boys and two girls hostel are there. Separate Dining halls are available for boys and girls. Food is hygienic and menu is available for both North Indian and South Indian Students.
Faculty: 1. Senior most faculty of mechanical department are good. Yes they are qualified.
2. Course is relevant but not from the mechanical placement perspective point of view. It will make you ready for the industry but core companies don't comes for placements. You will have to try outside or off campus placements.
Other: 1. Senior most mechanical faculty members are good. But placements in Mechanical are not good as compared to other branches like CSE and ECE.
50-60 are placed every year out of 140.
2. Placements to be improved especially for mechanical students. Infrastructure, labs are very good as compared to other engineering colleges.
3. Insignia is the techno - cultural fest organised every year which allows students to showcase their talents.

College with great Infrastructure and Campus.
Placements: Placements are really very good for Computer Science and Information Science Engineering Department as there are many IT Companies visiting the college such as TCS, Accenture, Radisys, HP, DELL, Sony etc. There is no internship culture in the college very few students get internships from campus and for core branches the placements are very rare.
Infrastructure: College Infrastructure and Hostel Infrastructure is as per the modern requirements. Labs are of high quality with new technologies. Quality of food available in canteen is good but in mess the food available is not good. Medical facilities are provided to stduents at SDM College of Sciences and Hospital.
Faculty: Faculty members have sound knowledge of there subject and they apply new teaching methods to interact with the students properly. Teaching Quality is also good in college. Course curriculum is relevant and as per the norms of visvesvriya Technological University.

Hi there,
With a rank of 15420, you can easily get Mechanical engineering for sure even if you fall in general category, however if you are from reserved category, in that case you can also get CSE & ISE branch. I hope you have got your answer.

As you have got 50,282 rank in COMEDK, there are very less chances for you of getting CSE, IT & ECE branches in SDM College of Engineering & Technology. However, you can get core branches such as mechanical, civil, etc. but there aren't good placements in those branches. If you are having
