Honest review of BIET by its student.

Placements: Around 65% of the total students are getting placed in various companies. The highest package was 30 LPA, while the average package was 4 LPA. Infosys, Tech Mahindra, TCS, Bosch and many other top companies visited the campus. Many students got internship opportunities in DRDO, and some students got them in Kirloskar.

Infrastructure: There are no wi-fi facilities for students. The laboratories are well maintained and have all the instruments to conduct experiments. Classrooms have around 70 student sitting areas loaded with blackboards and projector facilities. The campus is very decent, the food quality is very low, indoor sports are available in the hostel, and there is no wi-fi in the hostel.

Faculty: Researchers were really helpful, well qualified for the post and knowledgeable. The curriculum is really relevant and well updated; certainly, it makes students ready for industry. The semester exams are moderate to difficult. The passing percentage is 35%.

Other: I chose this post because I am very interested in machines. The best thing about the post was that I learned about many machines and mechanisms. The area of improvement in the court is more practical knowledge. The college's main event in Dhavana, as well as the annual function, draw smaller crowds.

Disappointed with placements, but the infrastructure is good.

Placements: The placements are not up to the mark. The placement percentage is below 20%. The packages range between 3.5-10 LPA. Many students got placed in TCS. Designing is the top role offered. The college should bring many companies to offer placements. Many webinars and workshops should be organised.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The campus has good and hygienic labs, classrooms and a library. But Wi-Fi is not provided. The quality of food is good in the canteen and hostel. The college encourages sports and games. Football and cricket grounds are available. Indoor halls are also available.

Faculty: All the teachers are helpful and well-qualified. The teaching quality is not bad. They will not explain some of the concepts. End-semester exams are a bit difficult because some concepts are not taught. The pass percentage is around 50%. It makes students prepared for the industry.

Other: I chose this because I am interested in automobiles manufacturing. Some virtual labs would be better for this course. Events and fests are good.

It is a very good college for studying and pursuing engineering.

Placements: Placements at Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology are very good as I have observed in the past 4 years. There is a good placement officer in Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Davanagere. Placements for all branches are very good. There are no issues regarding placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Davanagere is very good. Mechanical workshops are well furnished and well-equipped. The campus is very good and huge. It has a huge auditorium for students. All the infrastructural facilities provided by the college are very good.

Faculty: Faculty members in the college are well experienced in their respective fields. Every faculty member in all the branches is well experienced. All are from reputed universities. They scored the highest marks and possess the best knowledge among all the lecturers of other colleges. The course curriculum is also very good.

Other: Many events are conducted in this college every year. The fest named Davana is organised here. It is fully crowded as students from other colleges of Davanagere participate. The campus is very good.

Satisfied with placements, atmosphere, and infrastructure on the campus.

Placements: BIET has an excellent placement cell, which always works on giving placements to many students as possible. The companies like TCS, Infosys, L&T, Bosch, and many more visit the campus for the placements. The average salary is always above Rs. 20,000 per month. Well, not many internships are offered by the college, but many skill developing programs are conducted on the campus. These programs help the students to gain more knowledge on the subject.

Infrastructure: The college doesn't provide Wi-Fi facility to students. The labs are good with all the instrument and apparatus required. The library has the ambience, which is perfect for studying and provides good books. A student can get a book per subject that he/she can keep for the whole semester. Bapuji hospitals are always there to help in any case. The students are encouraged to participate in sports, and many events take place in college. The labs have a good infrastructure, and the classrooms are well-ventilated with good seating arrangements. The canteen food is okay. The hostels are like any other college hostel. We have got a new auditorium, which is top notch.

Faculty: Here, the teachers are knowledgeable and help the students in all the way possible. The teaching quality is good. We have been taught by smart class, i.e., through presentations. The student and faculty ratio is good. Industrial visits occur, we had been to Shantala Steels, which is a nearby industry as a part of entrepreneurship programme. Another industrial visit is in planning.

Other: Our college has many events like an ethnic day, college fest named Davana, and every branch has its fest. MECH-I-PRIX is another most expected event after college fest. Many flash mobs also occur on the campus. The crowd in the college is good. Bus and auto convenience is always there. The campus is big and has good surroundings. The college doesn't provide any scholarship from its side, or maybe I don't know, but the scholarship from the government is given. We had a marathon this time, and many extracurricular activities take place on the campus.

It is a very good college. BIET campus is green and clean.

Placements: There are good placements for aggregate holders. The college is good in advance technology. The placements are done by many companies like TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Tata Motors, and Bharat Electronics Ltd., so likewise it is a good campus for green and clean learning engineering for the valuable price of money you paid.

Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure with cement road. It has an extraordinary auditorium with air-conditioning, and have a different classroom for all the departments with many section division. Also, we have four canteens in the campus. There are cricket and football grounds for the sports. The college contains two gates, 18 duffer indicates, which is attached to the manor road and the back gate, which is connected to the BIET road. The campus is provided by many lecturers with a particular instructor and attender.

Faculty: The faculty and the course members are good. The faculty members are divided into the particular department like mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical, biotechnology, biomedical, information technology, science textile, and computer science. Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology is the third college, which has the largest experimental instruments for practicals. BIET has CNC machine, which is a computerised instrumented machine, which cost around 10-crores. It is the only college in Karnataka having such kind of machines.

Other: It is a good college for north Indian students because of an anti-ragging community.

Placements are good. Support for extracurricular activities is high.

Placements: The placements are good. TCS is the main recruiter of our college and some core companies also visited our campus and took 4 to 5 people who have good technical knowledge. For IT branches, MindTree and IBM also came. Last year, BEL took 5 members from our college with 8.6 lac per annum package.

Infrastructure: In Davanagere, out of four engineering colleges, it has the best infrastructure and lab facilities. It has football, cricket, basketball and many grounds for sports. There is a library with 1 Lac books for each branch and Wi-Fi facility is available in the library. Canteen facility is also good.

Faculty: In the mechanical branch, the faculty are very good. They give priority to innovation and thermal based projects. They also conduct a national level competition for technical stuff. Lecturers are very friendly and conduct remedial classes too. For labs, projectors are used for teaching software.

Other: Every year, they conduct annual fest named Davana which is a huge event. The college conducts every cultural competition in all aspects.

BIET is an average grade college.

Placements: Mainly, TCS comes for placement, which hires students for all branches, about 200 students with 3.5 LPA package. Apart from this, Tech Mahindra and Capgemini might come. For mechanical, no core companies will be coming. So, placements are not so good as earlier.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are moderate with a good library and sports facilities for cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, etc. No medical facilities are available for students. Labs have old machines but have good exposure. The hostel is average with good food facility.

Faculty: The lecturers are average in knowledge and teaching quality. For mechanical subjects like design, CAD, theory of machines and manufacturing, the faculty are good. The student-faculty ratio is about 20:1. Industry exposure is very less, and the course is not so satisfying. There is no proper training for placements.

Other: Dhavana is the annual fest, and mechiPrix is a national-level mechanical fest.

If there is no another option then you try Bapuji College of Engineering.

Placements: The placements for my batch was not good. Only 40% of the students are placed but not in core company but IT firms like TCS and others. So the placement cell of my college is not good, and I think they don't focus on 100% placement, but their motto is to increase the strength of the students.

Infrastructure: When I took admission at that time, the infrastructure was just average, but after one year of the college they started to develop the facilities and building modern classrooms. We didn't take the benefits because construction is not completed when we are studying.

Faculty: Only those teachers who were teaching for a long time are good, and they have knowledge, but new faculty members are not good because they didn't know about the subjects also. We see that some teachers are showing partiality between local and others state students in case of internals exam.

Other: Others activities are good. The college fest and all other programme are average.
