Breaking Down Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology: Academics, Campus, and Beyond
Placements: Minimum 80% of students in metallurgy branch were placed every year and the average package offered by the company to the students in metallurgy branch was 5 LPA. The companies that come for placements are DRDL, DMRL&MIDHANI etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is pretty good and well maintained. There are many facilities for the students to study out of the classroom like library computer labs etc. There are good condition computers provided in the computer labs and pretty good speed of Wi-Fi provided by the college in the labs. The hostel of the college is located 1.5km away from the college and the food in the hostel is very good and tasty.
Faculty: The teachers are very friendly and close to the students. They interact with the students and are all well-educated teachers who completed their M. Tech in IITs. There are two MIDS for each semester and the level of hardness of semester exams are pretty high level and almost 80% of students will pass the exams.
Other: The metallurgy course was one of the best B. Tech course branch. Among all the courses this is the most demanded course nowadays and the faculty of this branch are very friendly and very encouraging and take care of the student's academics. There are good number of fests that are conducted in the college like freshers, technical events, nirvana etc. There are lots of trees and plants surrounded by the college and also inside of the college.

Better to look at this before joining .
Placements: Around 80% of the students every year get placed in well-named companies like JSW, TCS, Mahindra, etc. The salary packages starts from 4.5 LPA and most of the placements are started at the start of the fourth year and continue until the end of fourth year.
Infrastructure: The college was well-equipped with laboratory equipment and infrastructure. The classrooms are equipped with projectors, which was very helpful visually for the students. Most of the faculty use it for comprehensive information. And hostel facilities are also available within the college .
Faculty: The faculty at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology are fully experienced and most of the faculty are PhDs and came from NITs and IITs. All are equipped with lots of experience from several years. And they are very helpful to the students at any time.
Other: I have chosen this college to extend my career in metallurgy, which was available only at private colleges.

When I got free time automatically my college days memorising im satisfied.
Placements: After the notification of campus recruitment we all get exicted. Various companies came forward to facillate graduate. Tata steel, rachamallu forgings, uttam galva, bhushan steels, and many more. One of my frnd suraj vishwakarma got selected in tata steel as working suoervisior. Total 37 students got selected out of 60. 13 in metallurgy based companies remaining in software companies like, infoysis, amazon, site, pivotal, and many more.
Infrastructure: Excellent campus include volleyball court basketball court cricket grounds with neatness. College will organize three tournament in a year within college grounds winning team will b selected as MGIT team to participate in Hyderabad cricket tournament with all colleges participate in it. MGIT has excellent infrastructure as well furnished buildings and more spacious classrooms. Labrotray season will give u more knowledge because real life example will b given. Mgit celebrate its fest as NIRVaNA for three days in a year and invite a famous singer as well as branch fest like METALLoN, carpiduim, etc. Will b celebrated, excellent transport facility approximately from every point of Hyderabad college bus is available.
Faculty: I got excellent coordintion of teachers every teachers (bhomik sir, vijay laxmi mam, ramnjanylu sir) gave me or teach me the easiest way of curriculum and show us the basic life style how to live how to talk how to move on. I am fully satisfied with my teachers. Teachers are like my parents. Salute you.
Other: Every branch in colkege have tier own fest like METALLON, FaLcON, and every branch will participate in college fest called NIRvanA. Most exciting things in college fest is keeping the food more thn required amount in our plate. Boiled egg, sweets are always attractive in frnds plate. Standing for long hours in scholarship lines, and payment of exam fee challan in bank are great memories.

Really good faculty and facilities.
Placements: The college has good placements for electronics, computer science, information technology, mechanical, EEE, and metallurgy students. 60% of the students are placed in the placements. The Capgemini, Wipro, Tata Consultancy Services, Amazon, etc. CC top most companies in Hyderabad recruiters are mostly offered the good packages.
Infrastructure: The labs are maintained perfectly. The auditorium has more than 500 seating capacity. The library is perfect. The classrooms are in good condition. The canteen food is somehow average. In the sports, there are facilities like basketball, cricket, volleyball, carrom, table tennis, kabadi, etc. The medical facilities are good enough. One hospital and emergency rooms are available.
Faculty: The faculty members are well-trained and experienced and treat students like friends. There is a good response in problem solving situation courses. We have the courses like metallurgy and materials science, mechatronics, CSE, IT, mechanical, and EEE in B.Tech. The faculty members here are mostly PhD graduates. There is a student-friendly environment on the campus.
Other: We have a fest named nirvana, and we celebrated it with pride and prestigious. Every branch has its own events for example metallurgy has a medallion, and civil has c-infra and flashmobs like MGIT symphony music, MGIT dub stars, MGIT spot light, etc.

The college gives good subject knowledge, which is useful to qualify the GATE exam definitely.
Placements: The branch is a beautiful branch, with high quality and experienced faculty. No doubt, in terms of placements it is a bit low because presently for my seniors, only 20% to 30% were placed, but after the completion of their graduation, most of them were qualified GATE and doing their M.Tech in IIT and NITs. Some of them directly got the government jobs, so the placements percentage of the college is low. The placement package criteria are nearly 3 LPA to 3.5 LPA in steel plants, they were well placed and performing good in their jobs without the hesitation. The college is always helpful for the students in any way and for internships. We are very lucky that most us have a chance to get the internships in central government organisations and feel proud to work in DRDO, DMRL etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities are very good in my college, especially the drinking water and sanitation, was very good. There is no Wi-Fi facility, but the labs are very good. The sports and games all are very well organised in the college because the departments very well encourage us. In the hostel, the important and interesting thing is that the facilities provided are very good, but the food was very poor. It is a disaster, and we are not able to eat such a worst food. The college doesn't take care of the food section because they support the food contractors.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified because most of them studied in IITs. Their pronunciation is excellent. Their teaching was very nice because they take care of every student and they have that much dedication to students life.
Other: Scholarships are only given to MMT department because MMT department has a ministry of steel chair professor and he helps students to gain a lot.

A bit satisfied with the education system, but not with the placements
Placements: Some placements do come, but not for out branch. Only software people come but no other groups are placed in their respective fields. The students who want to get placed can only get into software. No other options. Core jobs are not at all available in the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is a bit okay. We have very good laboratories and stuff, but not well-maintained playgrounds. The playgrounds must be levelled and must be maintained. The classrooms are well-cleaned and maintained. The furniture is also pretty good. I can give 3/5 to the infrastructure.
Faculty: I can't tell you about the faculty of other departments. But our faculty members are very good. They are highly educated and provide us with the quality education. Except two of them, all the others are very good from our branch. I can give 4/5 for the faculty members and staff of our department.

The campus placement is not good in this year. So I am expecting further increase in the placements.
Placements: The placements were very less in our college. They were about 25% only but may increase further. The companies that visited our campus are TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, Accenture, Genpact, Suntech, Amazon, Delloite and Hyundai. The highest salary offered is Rs. 12 lakhs per annum, the average salary offered is Rs. 2.5 lakhs per annum, while the lowest salary offered, is Rs. 25,000 per annum. In comparison with other branches, the CSE students are getting placed well. There are very fewer placements for the mechanical and the mechatronics students, and there are no placements for the metallurgy students. And coming to the internships, there is no such thing called support from the campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus is going to be good. There are Wi-Fi facilities with an appropriate range. The labs are well assembled. There are six blocks which are named as A, B, C, D, E and F. The A-block Is of M in structure or shape which contributes to metallurgy. The classrooms are very spacious to settle down. The canteen food is very tasty, which is way better than the price they charge. The hostels cannot be described as they are so stinky and messy to look and smell. But the hostel mess's food was improvised now as compared to the previous years.
Faculty: The interaction of the faculty with the students was very humble. They are very helpful in each and every problem whether it may be professional or personal. The method of teaching to the students was approaching the application-wise (industrial applications). And we even get exposed to the industries by going to the industrial visits, and the course curriculum is perfectly fixed for each and every forthcoming batch.

Other: I did metallurgical engineering course from here. It is a very good college with a combined campus of CBIT and MGIT. The infrastructure here is very good and it has separate XRD lab, MA lab, computer lab and physics labs available for individual groups. There is 80% placement guaranteed and the faculty members are all Masters and PhD qualified, so they are a very experienced faculty team.
