B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2024

One of the best colleges in Meerut.
Placements: Around 50% of students are placed in MIET. The highest package is around 5 LPA, The lowest is 2 LPA and 3-4 Lpa being the average. Top recruiting companies are Asian Paints, Berger, Wipro, Sun Pharma, Cipla, etc.
Infrastructure: All labs are available in college. Wi-Fi is also available. Classrooms are hi-tech. Ro water is available and a large ground is present. The hostel is good but mess is not good. The college campus is one of the biggest campus in Meerut. The canteen is also the best. Medical facilities are available in college campus and other sports activities are also there.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and well educated. The teacher’s behavior is good and their teaching quality is excellent. The curriculum is good and it makes the students industry ready. The semester exams are average. The minimum passing marks are 30% in semester exams.
Other: Chemical Engineering is a good course as it offers a lot of job opportunities.

Our college is not good for Chemical engineering but CS and IT branch is very good.
Placements: Placement for chemical engineering is average as the college mainly focus on Computer Science and IT company. Some core companies from the chemical field come for placement but they offer an average salary package of around Rs.20,000 to 30,000 per month. Most students take an off-campus placement in chemical engineering.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good with all the subject labs and has the freedom to use the lab equipment for research and project purpose. Classrooms are average as there is a very less number of students in chemical engineering so classrooms look big and sometimes scary.
Faculty: Teachers are very few one teachers teach two subjects but they are very helpful and friendly. They prepare you for the university exam. If you attend the class properly then you can clear the university exam easily. The semester exam is not that hard if you read the notes provided by the professors.

I had an average experience and got low exposure.
Placements: Placements were average in our college, particularly for CS and IT branches with moderate salary packages. In other streams, many students took admission, and they also attended placements in the same companies which visited for CS and IT. Those companies are TCS and IBM. A few general companies visit here to offer placements with a salary package of about 2.4 LPA, and in these companies, students of all branches can attend placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the hostel is good, and the food served is mediocre. The hygiene maintained is average, and there is good bandwidth Wi-Fi facility. But during summer, we can't tolerate here. The infrastructure of the main building needs to be renovated while other ones have good infrastructure.
Faculty: During my tenure, the teachers were highly experienced. But the very next year after we passed out of college, our college hired new teachers, so I don't know about them. The course curriculum is outdated and needs to be improved. Labs are outdated, so practical exposure is very less. There were no such industrial visits for the chemical department.
Other: I suggest you choose only other streams if you are genuinely ready to gain knowledge and not to get placements. I wish that our college should compulsorily provide lab exposure and industrial visits. There is no assistance to get internships, so you need to use your references to get them. Extracurricular activities conducted here are good, and fests are awesome. Scholarships are available in a limited number.

Infrastructure, faculty members, labs, and placements are good.
Placements: I got placed in Gold Plus Glass Industry Limited with the help of our placement cell. They are very helpful and always try to put all their efforts for the placements of students during their studies. Many companies have offered internships. A lot of students got placed in 2018 by campus recruitment. Companies offered good salary packages.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college was very good and favourable for studying. All classrooms were smart classes with proper windows and projectors, etc. They also provide all the facilities like 24*7 library, medical, sports club and Wi-Fi, etc. Proper sports facilities were also available for both indoor and outdoor games. They provide any information through online mode.
Faculty: Faculty members were very mature and highly qualified. The way of their teaching is good. They provide regular counselling for the students regarding their career. They put all their efforts and cooperate with students. They help to visit industries, and they help us participate in competitions which were organised by other colleges and industry. We completed our industrial training in a reputed industry with the help of the faculty members.
Other: The campus culture was very favourable even for girls. During my graduation, our college organised a lot of cultural events for students' entertainment. Many celebrities like Neha Kakkar, Suraj Jagan, Divya Kumar and Shalmali Kholgade, etc., have visited our campus.

Our college is providing good knowledge, and we all are totally satisfied with our college.
Placements: Right now, from our batch, only one student is placed in Indian Tobacco Company, and the rest of us are trying for jobs. The college also provides some company reference for our job profile. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. The average salary package offered is 3.6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Right now, there is none of the company visited for our course, so I can't say. However, for the previous batch, Dhampur Sugar Mill hired the highest number of students. The roles of a chemical engineer are offered in a company. The highest salary package offered in our course is 5.6 LPA. The average salary package offered in our course is 3.6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered in our course is 2.5 LPA. I have 24 students in our batch, and every student went for the summer training. Some of them were in the internship period. Some students went to IOCL, NFL, DRDO, and some were in sugar mills.
Infrastructure: If we compare the infrastructure of our college with other colleges like Vidya, our infrastructure is not good. Wi-Fi is not available for students. Labs are goods, and classrooms are average. The library is the perfect place in our college. Facilities provided in our college hostel is average, neither bad nor excellent. The quality of the food served is most of the time is not good to eat. The quality of the food served in the canteen is something better than the hostel. There is no medical facility available during classes. Sports grounds and games room are available in our college.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful, and they all are most qualified in their specialisation. They also have good knowledge of their work. The quality of teaching is excellent in our college. The course curriculum is relevant to the job profiles, and it makes the students ready for the industrial job.
Other: I have an interest in the chemical field because I want to know how a reaction occurs. The best thing about my course is you will learn about every concept, which is happening in a daily life related to our field. Most of the things will teach us practically not thoroughly. There are many events conducted every year in our college, and even fest is conducted. The campus crowd is always awesome in every condition. The connectivity is also good. The campus surrounding is good. Scholarship facilities are also good. There are many extracurricular activities conducted every time. Even many seminars are conducted for students from reputed industries.

Dissatisfied because of faculty and branch placements.
Placements: The college focuses only on CS/IT/EC, and they are not focused on core branches like chemical etc. Mostly companies offered roles to the students for BPO. Only 6 students are placed in the chemical branch. The highest salary offered was Rs. 2,00,000/annum. 5% of the students got an internship from the college. There is a placement cell.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. All the Wi-Fi, medical, library labs etc., are available. The facilities are good. The infrastructure of classrooms is not good. The sports facility are very poor. The quality of food is very poor. Hostel rooms are good. Only indoor games are available.
Faculty: The behaviour of some faculty is very bad. Some faculty have lack of knowledge about practical things. Lab assistants also have lack of knowledge about labs. The teaching quality is average. The teaching methods are ethical. We did not get any industry exposure.
Other: The college organises regular events in different fields.

In MIET, today's dream = tomorrow's reality.
Placements: The placements here are very good. Every year, they are trying to get new companies to our college. The placement cell is very supportive, and they are available for 24*7 for students. For this year, around 53 students have got selected for Wipro, and around 12 students have got selected for Omics. Still, they are tieing different industrial tie-ups for setting up their students.
Infrastructure: The MIET has a very nice infrastructure. Lush green gardens on the campus are giving a nice soothing environment for students to study. Every now and then, they are working on the infrastructure of the institute. Food available is also good. The library has a vast collection of books.
Faculty: The faculty members here almost comprises of PhD holders and being very experienced at their work. The faculty are ready to help students even at an odd hour. MIET also supports different types of fests including cultural event, technical event, literary event and sports event because they believe that a person should have a healthy mind with a healthy heart.

College is all about quality education
Placements: The placement is not so good for chemical engineers as not much chemical visit the college. Tata Chemicals, Asian Paints and a few more companies visit the college sometimes but a few got selected in these. Last year, all of the seniors got placed but from out-sourced companies.
Infrastructure: In terms of infrastructure, the college is not so good and is just working. But this year, the college authority is developing the infrastructure, Reconstruction of labs, classrooms and also establishing new technology in the library. The library is in some sort of a mess as the number of books is quite large but space is less. Sometimes, books are placed over the study desks. Also, there is a limit of 3 books that can be issued with a single card.Wi-Fi in the labs is good but the open Wi-Fi is just for a show and its speed is very poor. The canteen food quality is good but the only missing thing is a seat. There are no seats for sitting in the canteen, so you have to eat while standing.
Faculty: Faculty members are really good they know how to teach. Short tricks to learn and solve problems. All the teachers are either from IIT or from NIT and mostly are M.Tech-qualified. Some of them have industrial work experience. Industrial visits are done mostly in the 3rd year but in 1st and 2nd year, there are seminars which are related to the higher study and the industries. Faculty members stay updated and keep updated the students about the various competitions occurring in inter college level or national level like Robochamps.
Other: The college provides personality development classes, interview skill and development classes. Every 2/3month,s there is a compulsory aptitude test. There are various societies like arts society, photography society and much more. Every year, there are events like Glitz and Rangoutsav which have a number of fun events. Also from this year to appreciate the hard work of the students, the college honours the students with a certificate and a cash prize.
