All about our college and our experience.
Placements: There is not any placement cell for microbiology but if they clear any all-India examination like IIT, JAM, GAT B, etc. They can get a chance to get admitted to India's most reputed colleges and universities. Many of our seniors got admitted to NIV, IIT Bombay, IISCs, etc. The college doesn't provide any internship yet. I think they gave us a chance for an internship in the final year.
Infrastructure: As a student of microbiology, the labs are decent. For B.Sc. This is enough to learn but there many things has to be renovated. Our department labs and class room has proper A. C. and fans but sometimes it doesn't work for loadshedding but it doesn't take more time. Our college have a big central library where we can get almost every type of books for ous studies. As I didn't get the hostel so I don't know about it.
Faculty: There are many supportive and helpful faculty members in our department and college. They are polite and friendly towards students and enjoyably conduct their classes. As we pursue the course under NEP 2020, it is a four-year graduation program that makes us eligible for the NET exam after completing our degree. Our college conducts two internal examinations and one end-of-semester examination each semester.

This is a very good college, and I love my college.
Placements: There are no placement offers provided by the college, so there is no highest or lowest average package. However, faculty members informed us about companies that might recruit us, and we should go and try. There are no official internships offered by the college, but we can go out and do any internship.
Infrastructure: In our course, the department has two labs and three classrooms that are quite advanced with Wi-Fi, but students are not allowed to use it. The hostel is situated near the college campus. The quality of the food provided in the hostel is good enough. There is a canteen in our college, which is very hygienic and good. Midnapore Hospital is situated near the college hostel.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good, polite, and friendly. They always help us with any study-related doubts and encourage us to explore new things, but some of them show partiality to the students. There are two internal examinations and an end-semester exam required to qualify for the next semester.

Midnapore is an autonomous College.
Placements: There is no on-campus placement in my college. You have to go for an interview once you get your degree and find a job outside the campus. Some other departments, like computer science and BCA, often conduct on-campus placements for the sake of students.
Infrastructure: We have a 2nd class lab. We also have a central and departmental Wi-Fi network. Our classrooms are not big enough, but rooms have dual AC and several fans. Classrooms also have enough lighting, and our laminar room has an air purifier and UV light.
Faculty:
Teachers are good and knowledgeable.
Other: College hosts some competitive events and programs as extracurricular activities. A fest is conducted by our college every year, named Anandam. The college also hosts some national and international seminars.

My Autonomous journey ; the most beautiful three years of my student life.
Placements: Near about 60% students were placed from our course. the highest, the lowest and average package was 120000, 60000 and 80000 per annum respectively. Top recruiting companies are BYJUS, Colgate, Cipla etc. Our college doesn't offer any internship to us that's why we did not get chance for any internship. u2022 Top roles in our course offered are Quality control manager, microbiologists etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available of our college was awesome. The college campus was Wi-Fi enabled. Laboratories were the highest quality and smart classrooms in every departments. Besides a big library there was a digital library too. Though I was not admitted in hostel but from my friends I came to know that the quality of food available in hostel canteen was good and a wide varieties of food available there. All time medical supports and indoor outdoor games were provided to students.
Faculty: The teachers of my department were helpful to us as they can. They were highly qualified and knowledgeable to us too. Their teaching quality were also easily understandable. The course curriculum is highly relevant in today's life. It makes the students fully ready for the future industry life. The semester exams were not too much difficult. If you read the text books thoroughly you can pass the exams easily. Pass percentage was 30%.
Other: I was passionate to Biology from my childhood and in today's life this subject is highly relevant that's why I chose this course. The only thing that should be developed more that is the placement sector. The college authority should show more interest to this matter. The annual college fest named Anandam held on in the last week of February. Campus crowd was near about 4000. I got SVMCM scholarship during this course. A few types of extracurricular activities were provided to us. A wall magazine was also published every year.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the department was good. Whole campus was Wi-Fi enabled. There were smart classrooms in every department. Labs were research level and digital library to read many foreign journals beyond our syllabus. Hostel facilities were fabulous. Hostel life was amazing. The quality of food available in the canteen was good with varieties. There were 24x7 medical facilities in the hostel. All types of indoor and outdoor games facilities were available.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was outstanding. They taught us beyond the syllabus. Microbiology course is relevant and our department made us fully ready for industries. Semester exams were normally tough but if you read the textbook thoroughly you can pass the exam. The pass percentage was 30%.
Other: I chose this course as I was passionate about microbiology. The best thing is that it makes us ready for future industry life. Placement section should be improved and should be more developed. Our college life was eventful as our annual college fest named Anandam took place in February. Campus crowd was 4000. Surroundings like bank, gym, etc., were available. All types of extracurricular activities were supported. A yearly magazine was published every year.

The semester exam was standard, if students read from the textbook thoroughly then they can score well. The pass percentage was 30%.
Other: Microbiology was an advanced technological subject that's why I chose this course. The best thing about our course was that it prepared students for the industry. The course fee should be reduced some, besides this placements should be more. Many events were held in this college. The annual fest was held in February. The campus crowd was 3500, and the connectivity was good. Many scholarships were provided, and students were allowed to do many extracurricular activities like writing, acting, etc.
