No, MLR Institute of Technology do not accept JEE Mains score for the BTech course. The selection criteria for the course is TS EAMCET, TS ECET. For more detailed on eligibility students can check the points mentioned below:
- A total of 70% of the seats are allotted based on the merit in the Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAPCET) conducted by Govt. of Telengana /Andhra Pradesh. Similarly, 30% of the seats are earmarked for Management / NRI candidates.
- In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in second year of BTech to the extent of 20% of intake based on the merit in the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET), under Lateral Entry scheme conducted by Govt. of Telengana / Andhra Pradesh.

- BTech Program: The college accepts TS EAMCET, TS ECET scores for admission to the BTech programme. Candidates must pass Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects.
- MBA Program: MLRIT accepts entrance scores of TSICET for the MBA programme.
- MTech Program: Aspiring students must appear for and qualify the GATE, TS PGECET scores for admission to the M.Tech programme.
The TS EAMCET Counselling 2025 will be conducted in three phases, namely Phase 1, Phase 2, and the Final Phase, for admission into BE/BTech/BPharma courses by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) and will be managed by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH). Further, TS EAMCET (now TS EAPCET) Spot Round will also be conducted for Private Unaided Engineering Colleges.
