B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Batch of 2025

It is a very good college.
Placements: Around 25% of students got placed in our course. Top companies won't visit our college. Our college does not provide internships. Students apply for placements and internships on their own. Our college offers 100% placements.
Infrastructure: We have a good library. We can borrow books from the library for 7 days. Classrooms and labs are well-developed. The lab has good machines. Our canteen is not well-developed. Our college does not provide medical facilities. Sports and games are less in our college.
Faculty: Some teachers are good. They are from this college only. They don't have experience. The semester exams are conducted by KTU and are difficult.
Other: The campus surroundings are good. I chose this college because it is near my house. The college rules are not good.

The college and the faculty members present in the college are good.
Placements: Most of the companies visit the campus to conduct placements, because of which many students are joining this college. Around 72 companies visited the campus to recruit the students of our senior batch and hired 712 students. Some students got the internship from the college. Facilities available in the college are also good.
Infrastructure: There are many students present in the college, and the college provides many good facilities including the library, sports, and medical facilities. Classrooms, canteen, and hostel rooms are very good.
Faculty: There are many faculty members in the college. All the faculty members are good, knowledgeable and well-qualified. Their way of teaching is good compared to other colleges. Their technical skills are good, and they use good techniques to teach.
Other: Many events are organised in our college compared to other colleges. The campus crowd is good, and the environment and surroundings are also good. Scholarships are provided to the eligible students. They also conduct extracurricular activities.

Overall a good college, if you want knowledge Mohandas is the better place for you.
Placements: The placements offered were not bad. Lots of companies visited to offer the placements. But most of them are IT companies like TCS, Accenture, etc. Good salary was offered. It starts from Rs. 15,000 per month to Rs. 26,000 per month. The salary depends on the company you select. They have an excellent placement cell. They assure the eligible people get their job.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at Mohandas college is something great. The college provides high-class labs, libraries, class and medical facilities. The quality of the canteen is not as much good I think. The hostel rooms are good as compared to the canteen. I didn't face any issues related to the infrastructure during my college days.
Faculty: The teachers are excellent. Most of them are highly qualified and have in-depth knowledge of their subjects. The teaching quality is good. There are enough teachers to handle the students in each department. The course curriculum was useful to us.

Mohandas Engineering College - a detailed review
Placements: Main companies recruit. There is TCS. Other than that, there are not many companies coming. But some small companies used to come and give a fair amount of package, which would be better than getting nothing. Other companies are Attinad, UST, etc. Infosys used to come but it goes like that- if Infosys comes, TCS won't come to that college and vice versa because both are mass recruiters.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure wise, the college provides great facilities because there are dedicated buildings for each of the departments. The labs and all are well maintained by the cleaning staff. This is a good thing because even in some government engineering colleges it is a concern.
Faculty: The course curriculum follows the syllabus put up by Kerala Technical University (KTU). The faculty members are well guided by the director Dr. Ashaa Latha. We could call her the backbone of this college. She maintains a strict rule to complete all the syllabus one month before the exam. They provide the students the desired leaves before the exam.
Other: As I said earlier, Dr. Asha Latha is the backbone of this institution and hence, once she is gone from the position, we could never say what condition the college could be. Other than that, the college is placed somewhat in the countryside. Transportation from the city is a bit difficult. On the other hand, they will always cover your portion which some colleges lack.

Satisfied with average infrastructure and good faculty.
Placements: Well, the placements are not up to the mark. TCS is the most prior company at this college. And only 11 students from the entire batch got placed at TCS. Three or four other companies also came. The highest salary offered was Rs. 23000. Mostly IT companies visited the campus. Offers for electrical students were low. No students got any internship from the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not bad. Labs are well maintained most of the times. It has got a good library. Most of the books are available at the library. There are no Wi-Fi facilities available at the campus. The quality of food in the canteen is not up to the mark. But some days the food will be okay. Hostel rooms are good. But the facilities at the hostel are poor.
Faculty: Faculty members of electrical department are very good and helpful. Most faculty members are well qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching methods used are explaining each topic and notes will be given. There is less burden upon the students. We have got industry exposure. Many industrial visits are provided from our college.

If you can survive on your on, then this college may suit you.
Placements: The placement drive is only for IT companies here. There was a TCS placement drive and only 10 students were placed from all of the departments combined. The monthly salary starts from 20,000 onwards. There were no core companies for other trades, none whatsoever, did a recruitment drive in MCET. The only placements you could possibly imagine from within the campus is for software companies only.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is passable. Every department has its own block and the average rating is good compared to the neighbouring colleges. However, for an aspiring engineer, these facilities are obsolete. There is no Wi-Fi and you cannot access the library anytime you wish for. Although a reference section used to run at night, they discontinued the practice. Internet connectivity infrastructure is there, but hostel students and others cannot access it anytime they wish for, there is of course time frames. The canteen is open from morning to evening but you cannot go there anytime as there is a time frame too and the menu is very limited. As per sports, there are two basketball courts and a volleyball court. The indoor stadium houses a well-equipped gymnasium and one of the basketball court-cum-badminton court, i.e. at a time you can play basketball or badminton but not both. The football field is literally a matter of despair as it is simply an open patch outside the campus backyard, which is possibly a cricket pitch or a football field but not both. There are no medical facilities and the nearest health centre is a 10-minute drive from college. The hostel facility is good enough but there is zero tolerance towards indiscipline and mobile phone usage.
Faculty: The course curriculum is as per Kerala University (until 2018) as well as Kerala Technological University (2015 onwards). The faculty team is enough to push you through the university exams and the majority of them are good natured and are equipped to help you through your syllabus during the crisis with the study. However, if you compare them with the kind of lectures you have watched online or heard about, you are in for a great disappointment. The better way to excel in the college is by self-studying and this college has a lot of references.
