B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2019
4.6
Extraordinary is the word I would like to use for the college.
Placements: Almost 70% of students were placed in several companies. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies like UST Global, Tata Consultancy, and IBM visited the college. Almost 98% of students did internships for their courses in several industries located all over India. The top role that I selected was mechanical engineering.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available in the course or department were very excellent. They provided us with labs, good quality machinery, libraries which include different categories of books, and also Wi-Fi. The university also supported sports and games and also gave funding for these programs. The food was of good quality and was within a clean environment.
Faculty: The teachers were very helpful in our college. They were very much qualified and knowledgeable. They were always ready to improve and make us more informative. The university also provided industrial visits and also has equipment that was needed for industrial purposes. The examination was conducted in a strict environment and the difficulty of the exam depends on your preparation.
Other: The reason why I chose mechanical engineering is that I was very interested in machinery and vehicles. The things which I would like to improve in this course is the scope of mechanical engineering in future years with more advanced technology. The college is covered with fests, extra curricular activities and scholarships. Every month, we would be having programs that make the students enjoy their college life.

Placements were good in 2018. The faculty members are professional.
Placements: Placements in the college are really good. Around 65% of the students were placed. The highest salary offered was Rs. 40,000 per month and the average salary offered was around Rs. 15,000 per month. Companies like Tata Consultancy Services, Mohandas Motors, and other IT companies conducted placement drives here.
Infrastructure: All the facilities that are necessary for proper completion of the course are provided by the college such as labs, and libraries, etc. Other facilities promoting extracurricular activities are also available here. They also provide hostel facilities which are really good. The quality of food provided in the canteen is good.
Faculty: Faculty members in the college are highly professional and help the students in their academics and other aspects. They possess the required qualifications or higher for the teaching profession. Not much industrial exposure is provided here.

It is a good college with experienced faculty members.
Placements: Do not expect high-level recruitments here. The companies like TCS, Byju's Learning App, Ivobi Bibox, Mohandas Motors etc., visit our college for placements. Our batch got interviews from Navy in this year and the previous year. TCS offers a package of 2.5 LPA, where Byju's offer the highest package. About 5-6 percent of the passed students are getting placements in the reputed companies.
Infrastructure: This institution has a good infrastructure, and the atmosphere of the college is peaceful. There are good classrooms. There is Wi-Fi connectivity. The library is well-equipped. Laboratories, game equipment, an indoor stadium for basketball, auditorium hall, separate blocks for every department are available. Canteen, exam cells, restrooms etc., are also available.
Faculty: There are more than enough faculty members in every department with good qualification. The HOD is experienced. Formal principals from CET Trivandrum serves as the director and the principal. There is the well-managed atmosphere with enough maintenance staff. Especially, mechanical and civil departments are the best of all.
Other: This institution conducts many events in a year. Arts, sports, inter-college arts as well as technical events are conducted. Inter-college basketball tournaments are conducted. NSS etc., are also present.

An ideal college for an ideal student who looks forward for all-round developed future.
Placements: In our college, the Placement drive started for final year students when they are at the pre-final year semester that is the seventh semester. Many major companies including TCS, IBS, Tech Mahindra, Evobi Bibox have already been to our college for placements. Many Students were selected, and many are in different stages of selection. The college encourages and supports us to go for off-campus placement drives too.
Infrastructure: Mainly each department has a separate block. There is a big library, two computer labs, internet facility during working hours, Wi-Fi connection is not provided for students, but it is available for faculty and guests. Classrooms are well furnished, but they are not smart classrooms. Separate well-equipped hostel rooms are available for males and females. A well-equipped gymnasium is also present. There are indoor and outdoor basketball courts, shuttle courts, football and cricket ground in the college.
Faculty: All our branches are lead by the head of the department who are retired professors and PhD scholars in their streams. Another teaching faculty is classified into the senior professors, assistant professor etc. according to their experience and ability. Regularly, after series examination, students are given a review sheet where students can rate the performance of the teachers without giving their identity. Topics are thoroughly taken, and notes are dictated in the classroom itself. Regular tests are conducted to check the status of the students.
Other: College also conducts technical fests and arts festival; sports festivals in stadiums. Where all the standards of a regular athletic and sports meet are followed. College not only enhances the studies but also encourages extracurricular activities. There are two NSS technical cells associated with college that makes students socially committed.

Best mechanical department of Mohandas College of Engineering.
Placements: In 2016, the number of placements was 155 and in 2017, 108 students got placed in different companies. Out of those 108, 27 were placed at South Park Motors. Almost 46 companies including TCS, IBS and Wipro are coming to our college for offering placements to the students. Our college is having so many certifications from different companies which help the students to have a knowing approach when placed in those companies. Various internships are given to the students having stipends from 3000 to 7000 per month. We can also approach to the director with the request letter for attending the company in which you need the internship. You should be sure that you will get the internship there.
Infrastructure: Our college is having one of the best workshops and labs for the mechanical department and the CS department. The machines available there are the latest and more in numbers and are purely unique when compared to other colleges. Our college is having free Wi-Fi facilities but only for professors as students don't know the passwords. It is having the best library with lots of books which help the students in their academics. Each department is equipped with a departmental library which is of a great help to students. The food in the canteen is good, but not the best. But in terms of money, it is profitable. The canteen and the available space are very comfortable and good. Basketball is given more importance in sports with a personal coach here at our college. Other than basketball, cricket and football are also given importance. Various competitions are held each year in various sports. Hostel rooms are good for both boys and girls. Staff members will be there as the incharge of the hostel.
Faculty: Experienced faculty members are there from different colleges. All of them are with MTech degrees from various government engineering colleges. Most of the professors are very friendly and helpful for students. The course curriculum handled by them is good enough for students to follow.
Other: One bad thing about this college is the fine for not wearing ID cards. There is a fine for not attending college fests, Onam celebrations, etc. After all, it is our freedom to attend all these or not. The director of this college, Ashalatha Thamburan, is the backbone. It is because of her that this college lies among the top 10 colleges in Kerala.

It is one of the top best private engineering colleges in Trivandrum.
Placements: The placements for our senior batch was ok. Most of them got placements in Trivandrums Technopark and overall, about 85% of the students were placed. The highest salary was around 35000 and the average salary was around 17000. TCS, Wipro and many technopark companies visited the campus. Roles of trainees and officers were offered to the students. About 90% got the internship from the college. The highest stipend was 6000, the average was 4000 and the lowest stipend was 1000.
Infrastructure: The facilities of the college are excellent. The campus has full Wi-Fi facility, with every lab facility. Also, they have a doctor on call and a large library with thousands of books. It consists of every sport and game. The quality of labs and classrooms is excellent. The canteen consists of every food available and is also at a reasonable rate. Hostel rooms are excellent and the mess food is also reasonable. We did not face any problems related to the infrastructure.
Faculty: Faculty members are excellent and extravagant. They are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The latest technology methods are used here for teaching with projectors and the latest boards available. The student to faculty ratio here is 5:1 and we got the industry exposure here. The course curriculum is useful.
Other: It is a superb college with lots of facilities and it is one of the best private engineering colleges in Trivandrum. It has a lot of placements provided within these years. It is an excellent college situated at Nedumangad Anad and is situated at the top of the hill. It is spread over a vast area of more than 10 acres. It has nice faculty members and also provides transportation facilities and hostel facilities.

Excellent choice for people who really care only about accademics
Placements: 10% of batch gets placed..Recruiters are mainly TCS and other startups from Kerala. Highest package is provided by TCS which is around 3.2lakh CTC. Average may go down 2lakh CTC. Companies which visit the campus are TCS, speridian, wipro, allianz etc. No internships are provided from the college. Preplacement tutorials are given by the college before every interview. Also finishing school program is conducted at the final year to mould the students for placements and future.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good.. WiFi is not provided.. All another facilities are there. Labs are heavily equipped. It could be described as one of the best in the district. College library is 4 storeys big and have a huge collection of academics as well as non academic books. Almost every sport is promoted by college and it hosts yearly inter collegiate tournaments. The college has both men's and ladies hostel which can accommodate around 200 each. Rooms are triple occupancy and quality of hostel food is quite good. There's a food court in the centre of college which serves as the hangout place for students during non academic hours.
Faculty: Faculties are the best part of Mohandas college. All the faculties are highly qualified, helpful and knowledgeable. Considering the faculty part, Mohandas college is one of the best in the state. The college lacks industrial exposure. College follows the curriculum as per Kerala technical university.

Other: Our college is best for students and it is the 2nd good college in the private sector behind Mar Baselios college of engineering .The environment of our college is best for students because it is full of greenery and windy area. It has best teachers and professors but our director is so harsh to the students which we cannot afford at all. Overall, it has best placements and faculty but there a lot of extra Fee's which is they are draining from us so it is not the place worth the money.
