According to India, Today Ranking 2022, NIFT Delhi is ranked 1 among all campuses that is followed by NIFT Mumbai and NIFT Bangalore. However, it is to note that NIFT has a centralised placement process across all its campuses. Companies can employ NIFT students from any course or campus through On-campus placement and Pre-placement offers.

The candidate will need the following documents to participate in the NIFT counselling process: Class 12/ degree mark sheet and certificate. Further, if the candidate is seeking admission to the PG course, then the candidate will also have to upload mark sheets and certificates of the qualifying degree examination.

In case of candidates who have appeared for the qualifying exam/ compartment (of final year/semester) and the result is due need to upload the date sheet /admit card for the examination. Other documents required are a Birth certificate, Category certificate, Medical fitness certificate, signed by a Registered Medical Practitioner in the prescribed format in original.

NIFT Delhi is the first institute in India that can award its own degrees in the Design field. It is old. It is reputed. There are many aspiring designers who have graduated. The degrees awarded by NIFT Delhi are recognised by academia worldwide. For all of its courses, National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT Delhi) is regarded as the finest Design institute in the country. It is renowned for giving students extensive experience and having a high success rate in placements. Additionally, the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, is in charge of this legal institution.

NIFT Delhi cutoff 2025 has been announced for admission across multiple specialisations for the Round 1 seat allotment results. In NIFT 2025, the closing rank for the candidates belonging to General All India quota stood between 15 and 800. The competition remains intense due to limited seats for Master of Fashion Technology (M.FTech) and Master of Design (M.Des.). The Round 1 for the aforementioned courses stood at 15 and 24, respectively.

In addition, the overall cutoff rank for the OBC AI category quota ranged between 29 and 2703 as per the Round 1 seat allotment results.

NIFT Delhi offer good placement facility with lucrative salary packages. NIFT graduates can earn anything between INR 5 LPA and INR 50 LPA. Further, top roles of Fashion Designer, Fashion Illustrator, Fashion Stylist and Fashion Consultant are offered during NIFT Delhi placements. NIFT Delhi is regarded as the best Fashion Design Institute in the country. Many students aspire to take admission to this institute every year to realise their dream of having a successful career in the field of Fashion Design. Admissions at the institute are definitely competitive but with the right preparation strategy, one can ace it. NIFT Delhi accepts the NIFT Entrance Exam scores for admission to its various courses. The NIFT Entrance Exam comprises two parts, namely GAT and CAT. The GAT paper is mandatory for all programs, while only BDes and MDes candidates have to appear for CAT. To prepare for the GAT, one should solve as many previous years' question papers and sample papers as possible. Candidates should also enrol for a mock test series to gauge their preparation and prepare accordingly. While for CAT, candidates must work on their observation and creative skills, and should also get the basics of geometrical shapes right.

In order to take admission to NIFT Delhi, candidate's age should be less than 24 years, and you must have passed Class 12 from a recognised Board of Secondary Examination, New Delhi, and/or Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi to apply for the NIFT Delhi. To get admission to NIFT Delhi, candidates must apply online through the official website of NIFT Delhi. The final selection of the students is based on an entrance exam which is conducted by the institute.

The written tests for the NIFT 2026 exam will be held in the second week of February 2026 (tentative). The detailed schedule will also be released soon by NTA. The written tests comprise a General Ability Test (GAT) and a Creative Ability Test (CAT). GAT is mandatory for all candidates, but CAT is only required for BDes and MDes candidates. 

The GAT test is considered in a computer-based mode, whereas the CAT is offline based. Note that scores of the written exams will be used to shortlist candidates for a Situation Test/ Personal Interview.

NIFT 2024 tentatively in the 1st week of November 2023. The application form will open online at niftadmissions. In. The National Institute of Fashion Technology will also release the detailed admission notification, including the eligibility criteria, at the time of release of the application form or sometime thereabout. Candidates who meet the precribed eligibility criteria for their programme can fill out the NIFT 2024 application form before the last date. Note that NIFT application form will be for admission to the B. Des, M.Des B.FTech M.FTech and MFM courses offered by participating colleges.
