National Institute of Fashion Technology, Mumbai offers a full time B.Des, B.FTech and UG Diploma courses. Available at the UG level, admission to this course is based upon merit/entrance exam. Yes, NIFT Mumbai campus is safe for girls and boys. The college campus is located in Maharashtra. It has a good connection with roads and public transports. CCTV cameras are installed in the campus to keep a check on students safety.
No, you cannot take direct admission at NIFT Mumbai. The college offers merit-based admission based on the scores in NIFT exam. Merit is calculated based on score in GAT, CAT exam as well as Situation test and personal interview. Candidates needs to clear the cutoff of exam and fulfil the eligibility criteria.
NIFT Mumbai accepts entrance exam of NIFT which has two written test: CBT based GAT (General Ability Test) and paper-pen mode CAT (Creatiev Ability Test). For UG courses it is followed by Situation Test and for PG courses it is followed by Personal Interview round.
