NITIE admissions for the academic year, 2021 are now closed. Generally, the NITIE application process commences in January and closes in March. This year, the PI process was conducted in April for which the merit list is out. For candidates with their names in the merit lists of respective courses, the classes for the same will commence from June. At present, NITIE offers degree and certificate programmes to students at the PG level in the field of Business & Management.

NOTE: Candidates in the final year of graduation can also apply for any of the three courses, provided they qualify for the final examination by the time of joining the institute and submit the mark sheet and provisional certificate, latest by September 2021.
NITIE Application Process 2021
NITIE application process 2021 is common to PGDIE, PGDIM, PGDISEM and Fellow programmes. Candidates can also apply for more than one course through online mode only and register themselves on the official admission portal.
The application fee for each programme is Rs 1,000 (Rs 500 in case of SC/ ST/ PwD candidates) for applicants from India and SAARC countries. For international applicants, the application fee is 50 USD 50 along with the bank charges (as applicable). This fee can be paid through a payment gateway. The steps to apply are as follows:
Step 1: Visit the official website of NITIE (www.nitie.ac.in). On its homepage, click on ‘Programs’ A drop-down menu opens up.
Step 2: Click on the desired programme and further click on ‘Application Process’ against the pop-up that appears against the selected course.
Step 3: Read the given instructions carefully and click on ‘Admission Portal’. The application form opens up.
Step 4: Fill the application form carefully. Candidates applying for Fellow programme need to additionally submit a 1,500-word research proposal.
Step 5: Pay the application fee in online mode using payment gateway through debit card/ credit card/ net banking.
In order to apply for PGPEX-VLFM, candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Download the application form. The form is elaborate expects students to fill in detailed responses.
Step 2: The application portal will be working around the admission time. However, the institute also accepts the filled form emailed and speed posted as part of the student’s application packet.
Step 3: Ensure attaching the relevant DD and the self-attested certificates.
Step 4: There is a separate form for Letter of Reference (LOR). Candidates can share the link for LOR with their download and share the soft copy of LOR. The filled-in LOR needs to be sent independently and should be received by the VLFM office by the due date.
NOTE: This programme actively seeks sponsored and self-supported candidates. If you are sponsored, make sure that the sponsorship letter is attached to the application packet.
NITIE Scholarships 2021
NITIE offers several scholarship schemes to the candidates on a merit and needs basis. The details regarding the same are enlisted below:
- GATE-qualified candidates are entitled to Teaching Assistantship (at present Rs.12400 per month) and contingency expenditure as per rules.
- SC/ST candidates are granted Central Sector Scholarship as per the scheme of Govt. of India subject to the satisfactory fulfilment of terms and conditions mentioned therein.
- 30% waiver of tuition fee: Any student entering the postgraduate programme whose total family income does not exceed Rs 2.50 lakh in the last financial year shall be eligible for this scholarship
- 50% waiver of tuition fee: Any student entering the postgraduate programme whose total family income does not exceed Rs 1 lakh in the last financial year shall be eligible for this scholarship
