Applications for admission at NIMHANS Bangalore are accepted entirely in the online mode. Offline application are not entertained. The application process can be completed by filling and submitting the online application form available on the official NIMHANS Bangalore website. The seat-intake for differernt courses is decided by NIMHANS Bangalore prior to the beginning of the admission process. The seat intake for different courses on offer at the admission process is: 

• BSc: 114 seats
• MSc: 45 seats
• MD: 44 seats
• MPH: 10 seats

The admission process for NIMHANS Bangalore is entrance based. Candidates must appear for the INI-CET to participate in the admission process of the institute. NIMHANS Bangalore offers various UG, PG, and Diploma courses for candidates. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the course they wish to apply at must check the selection criterira in order to find out the exam they need to apply to. Candidates applying for Doctoral courses must appear for NEET SS. 

As per the NIRF report 2025 released, placement rate recorded during PG 2-year and PG 3-year placements 2024 and 2023 was 100%.

Impressive results in both UG and PG placements have been attained by NIMHANS Bangalore Placements 2023. The institute has consistently maintained placements in the three-year UG programmes. All graduates found employment in 2021, with the median wage at NIMHANS being INR 6,00,000. Similarly, 14 students were placed each year in 2020 and 2019, with a median pay of INR 6,00,000. 

The institute has obtained outstanding outcomes for the 4-year B.Sc. Nursing programme. Out of the 77 seats that were open in 2021, 72 students were placed, with the median pay at NIMHANS being INR 7,20,000. Similar to how 74 and 75 students were placed in 2020 and 2019, respectively, with the identical seat intake. The median annual pay for each of them was INR 7,20,000.

Regarding the one-year PG programme, NIMHANS placements 2023 have displayed exceptional successes. Out of 98 available seats in 2020, 33 students were placed, earning a median income of INR 15,60,000. With 78 seats available in 2019, 25 students were placed successfully, earning a median income of INR 6,00,000.
