Yes, NIT Uttarakhand offers a comprehensive M.Tech programme. It is a PG level course offered in full-time mode. The duration of this programme is two years. Students enrolled in it get to choose from various specialisations including, Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and more.  Admission to these courses is made based GATE socres.

Admission to M.Tech course is based on GATE score followed by CCMT/ COAP Counselling.

Yes, the candidates belonging to the underpriviliged section and seeking admission to NIT Uttarakhand M.Tech course are offered relaxation in the eligibility criteria. For general category students, the minimum eligibility requirement is 60% or 6.5 CGPA for UG. For students belonging to the SC/ST/PwD category, the institute offers a 5% relaxation in the eligibility criteria. NIT Uttarakhand offers BTech, MTech, and PhD programmes in the fields of Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, among others. 

The BTech CSE (Computer Science & Engineering) programme, offered by the institute is very popular among the students due to its promising career prospects and excellent placement record. The BTech CSE programme offered by NIT Uttarakhand is a four-year programme, offered through the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The department's faculty members are mostly PhD holders from the reputed institutes of the country. INR 34 LPA was the highest package offered to a student during the 2022 placements, and the top recruiters included Adobe India, Algo Sec, Samsung SRI Noida, and Atlassian, among others.

Admission to NIT Uttarakhand is based on the entrance exams, followed by an interview or counselling. For UG course such as BTEch, the university accepts JEE MAIN score and for PG course such as MTech, NIT Uttarakhand accepts the merit scores of GATE exam. Other than these, the university expanded the variety of courses recently including Communication English, Social Sciences, Literature and Cinema, Screenwriting and Creative Writing. Admission to these courses are based on CUET scores or merit-based scores. Final seat allocation is done through counseling sessions such as CCMT, CCMN, and others.
