NDA transforms cadets to gentlemen, and I would say NDA is the best place to learn discipline.
Placements: 100% internships are provided. Students get placed in army, airforce, and navy. Boys who prefer Army are sent to Indian Military Academy (IMA), airforce in Airforce Academy, navy in Naval Academy etc. The course after NDA is of 1 year in their respective academics. After NDA, cadets are offered a pay scale during their training in the respective academics.
Infrastructure: NDA stands top in terms of facilities. There is no compromise with facilities. NDA has the world's largest canteen. Labs, classrooms and library are wonderfully maintained. In NDA, cadets have to deal with many sports activities. Therefore, medical facilities are well-maintained.
Faculty: The teachers are all well-qualified and knowledgeable. I found the best teachers in NDA. The cadets opting for airforce and navy are provided with B.Tech courses. They are made physically and mentally fit. If cadets do hard work, semester exams are not a big deal.
Other: My preference was airforce.

Our college is absolutely satisfactory.
Placements: Our college is very good in terms of academics.
Infrastructure: Our college is very good in terms of infrastructure. All the facilities provided here like classrooms, canteen area and sports area are satisfactory. During my tenure, students in our batch are interested in sports, so we have spent a lot of time there. Our college provides various facilities for academics. You won't face any difficulty with accommodation and food because the food served in the mess is also good. There is no problem with drinking water as well. Even in the hostel, they provide Wi-Fi facilities.
Faculty: Faculty members here are very supportive and friendly with all the students. They are very supportive both in clearing doubts in our studies and also at giving us personal suggestions for our future. They are always with you, and they are highly experienced kind of professors.

You cannot join NDA (at Khadakwasla, Pune) immediately after 10th. UPSC clearly requires you to have passed or be appearing in 12th grade (ages 16.5–19.5) for eligibility — 10th completion is not enough.

Bottom line: You must first complete Class 12 (preferably with PCM if aiming for Air Force/Naval

Yes, you are eligible for the NDA 1 exam in 2026. Candidates born between 2nd July 2007 and 1st July 2010 can apply, and being in the SC category does not affect your eligibility.
