NDA Pune BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2024
National Defence Academy Pune BTech is a four-year undergraduate degree course spanning eight semesters. The basic eligibility criteria to get admission into the BTech programme, is candidate must have completed Class 12 with Science stream including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects. Candidates who are willing to get NDA Pune BTech admission should qualify NDA entrance exam conducted by UPSC followed by an interview wound which is organised by the Service Selection Board. Additionally, the entrance test for the NDA is held twice a year i.e. NDA-I and NDA-II. The first notification is issued in January and the second notification comes around June. The first entrance exam is conducted around April and the second around September. NDA Pune BTech course admission is based on the NDA entrance exam, conducted by the UPSC board. After qualifying for the entrance exam and the interview round, students need to register for the course of their choice and begin the NDA Pune admission steps from the official website of NDA Pune.
Below given details comprise a step-by-step guide to fill an application form for NDA entrance exam:
Step 1: Visit the official website of UPSC and open the registration form.
Step 2: Fill in all the details in the given slots such as personal details, qualification and choose the preferred branch from the given options of Indian Army/ Air Force/ Navy.
Step 3: Tap on ‘Continue’ after verifying the details carefully and note down the generated registration ID appearing on the screen.
Step 4: Proceed with the application process by paying an amount of application fee.
Step 5: Complete the application form by uploading scanned documents of photograph and signature in the prescribed format.

- Income Certificate of parents/guardian
- Risk Certificate on a non-judicial stamp paper
- Legal Agreement Bond on non-judicial stamp paper
- Supplementary Legal Agreement Bond for Cadets unable to produce any of the following:
- Class 10 Certificate and Marksheet
- Class 12 Certificate and Marksheet
- Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority i.e. Gram Sabha/Tahsildar/SDM
- Data Entry Form (Particulars of Cadets)
- A proficiency certificate if held in outdoor activities/sports should be brought by the cadet
- Aadhaar Card along with 5 attested copies
- Photocopies of PAN Card (Five copies)
- Recent passport size 2 photographs
- Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) admission form in duplicate along with:
- Two recent passport-size photographs
- Two copies of Class 10 and 12 passing certificates and Mark sheets
- Two copies of the Aadhaar Card

No, candidates are not allowed to get admission into BTech courses at NDA Pune without the NDA entrance exam. NDA Pune BTech admissions are done on the basis of valid scores obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam conducted by UPSC. Even, the institute does not accept any other competitive exam scores for BTech admission, except NDA.
NDA 1 2024 notification was released on December 20, 2023. The notification was released on the official website in PDF form. NDA 1 2024 notification was released to select candidates for admission to the courses beginning at National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy in January 2025. NDA notification PDF comprises details related to the exam such as application process, eligibility, dates, vacancies, etc. Selection of candidates for NDA exam is done based on the written exam and SSB interview. Candidates are advised to read the notification carefully before applying to the exam.

You cannot join NDA (at Khadakwasla, Pune) immediately after 10th. UPSC clearly requires you to have passed or be appearing in 12th grade (ages 16.5–19.5) for eligibility — 10th completion is not enough.
Bottom line: You must first complete Class 12 (preferably with PCM if aiming for Air Force/Naval

The expected cutoff for this year is around 710-720 marks out of 1800 for final selection. For last 5 years the cutoff is as:
- 2022: 343-355
- 2021: 355
- 2020: 355
- 2019: 342-346
- 2018: 338-325
- 2017: 342-258
Thats for some previous year cut off but sources indicate that this year's cutoff is expected to be more

Yes, you are eligible for the NDA 1 exam in 2026. Candidates born between 2nd July 2007 and 1st July 2010 can apply, and being in the SC category does not affect your eligibility.
