No, studying at NDA is not free. The candidates will have to pay the course fee and the accommodation charges are well. If the candidates find the fee a little high, they can apply online on the official website for the scholarships offered by the college. The various scholarships provided by the college are Biharilal Mandakini Cash Prize, Col Kendall Frank’s Memorial Scholarship, Sir Parshuram Bhau Patwardhan Scholarship, FG Officers DV Pintoo Memorial Scholarship, Major V Damale Memorial Scholarship, Smt Vijaya Rajagopalan Scholarship, and others.
NDA offers BA and BSc programme for a three-year duration and BTech programme for four-year duration. However, there is one-year compulsory training programme in respective academies of the Armed Forces after the course duration.
Yes, National Defence Academy is approved by Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). The college offers AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi-approved courses to students. You cannot join NDA (at Khadakwasla, Pune) immediately after 10th. UPSC clearly requires you to have passed or be appearing in 12th grade (ages 16.5–19.5) for eligibility — 10th completion is not enough.
Bottom line: You must first complete Class 12 (preferably with PCM if aiming for Air Force/Naval

The expected cutoff for this year is around 710-720 marks out of 1800 for final selection. For last 5 years the cutoff is as:
- 2022: 343-355
- 2021: 355
- 2020: 355
- 2019: 342-346
- 2018: 338-325
- 2017: 342-258
Thats for some previous year cut off but sources indicate that this year's cutoff is expected to be more

To get entry in the National Defence Academy (NDA), candidates are required to qualify some eligibility criteria:
