Techno India Group Partners with City Football Group to Launch Manchester City Football School in Kolkata

March 27, 2025: Techno India Group has announced a groundbreaking partnership with City Football Group to establish the first-ever Manchester City Football School in Kolkata. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Indian football development, bringing world-class training to young aspiring players in the country.

The Techno India Manchester City Football School will offer training programs for athletes aged three to seventeen years, guided by British coaches handpicked by the City Football Group. The initiative aims to create a strong foundation for both physical and mental development, fostering young talent through structured training and professional coaching.

A select group of outstanding students will receive the unique opportunity to train at Manchester City’s facilities in the United Kingdom, gaining exposure to international football standards. Additionally, all enrolled players will be provided with detailed performance reports and personalized improvement plans, developed by experts from City Football Group. These reports will be distributed at the Kolkata center, helping students refine their skills and develop a deeper understanding of the game.

NSEC Inaugurates IPR Cell and Hosts Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights

March 11, 2025: The Netaji Subhash Engineering College (NSEC) marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of its Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell. To commemorate the occasion, a workshop on “Protecting IPR and IP Management” was organized at R.N. Tagore Hall, NSEC Campus. The event was conducted in collaboration with the Patent Information Centre, WBDST, Government of West Bengal, and NSEC Innovation and Incubation Cell (NSEC-IIC).

The workshop featured insightful sessions by esteemed speakers in the field of Intellectual Property. Dr. Mahuya Hom Choudhury, Senior Scientist and Nodal Officer at the Patent Information Centre, WBSCST, DSTBT, Government of West Bengal, provided an in-depth understanding of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), its various types, and the patent filing process. Adding to the discussion, Smt. Sangita Sengupta, Scientist I at the Patent Information Centre, Registered Patent Agent, and Startup Facilitator, shared real-life case studies, offering practical insights into IPR protection and management. The workshop served as an enriching experience for both students and faculty, equipping them with essential knowledge about Intellectual Property Rights and encouraging a culture of research, innovation, and patent awareness at NSEC. The inauguration of the IPR Cell is expected to play a crucial role in supporting aspiring innovators and researchers at the institution. 

Satyam Roychowdhury Becomes First Indian Honored as Honorary Academician by Italy’s Albertina Academy

December 6, 2024: In a historic achievement, Satyam Roychowdhury, Founder and Managing Director of Techno India Group and Chancellor of Sister Nivedita University, has been conferred the prestigious title of Honorary Academician of 2024 by the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts of Turin, Italy. This accolade marks Roychowdhury as the first Indian to be recognized by one of Italy's premier state institutions under the Ministry of University and Research (MIUR).

The conferment ceremony, held in Kolkata, was graced by H.E. Riccardo Dalla Costa, Consul General of Italy in Kolkata, along with visiting dignitaries from the Albertina Academy and other eminent guests.

The honor celebrates Roychowdhury’s remarkable contributions to education and his unwavering support for the arts over the past four decades. In his acceptance speech, he expressed gratitude for the recognition and reiterated his commitment to fostering a deeper connection between education and cultural enrichment.

NSEC-IIC Quarterly Meeting: Fostering Innovation and Collaboration

May 13, 2024: On June 15, 2024, the Technology and Innovation Committee (TIC) of Maxwell Science Academy (MSA) convened for its quarterly session at the L R Thompson Auditorium, employing a blended approach to accommodate both physical and virtual participants.

Attending were esteemed figures, including MSA's Dean, Dr Lisa M Patel, and notable faculty members such as Dr Jonathan K Smith, Dr Emily T White, Dr Rachel S Carter, and Brian D Johnson. Noteworthy was John Doe, Director of Research at Wilson University, whose presence injected dynamism into the proceedings.

Deliberations centred on incubation strategies, initiatives on intellectual property rights (IPR), and potential collaborations with industry, to foster innovation, support entrepreneurial ventures, protect intellectual property, and strengthen ties between academia and industry.

A highlight was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Wilson University (WU) and MSA, delineating areas of cooperation. This MOU represents a tangible advancement in promoting collaborative efforts to nurture innovation and entrepreneurship within the academic community.

Overall, the TIC-MSA meeting emerged as a pivotal forum for stakeholders to discuss critical facets of innovation, entrepreneurship, and academia-industry partnerships, marking a significant step forward in reinforcing collaborative endeavours in these spheres.

Techno India Group Launches A 100-Bed Temporary Covid Treatment Hospital

May 31, 2021: Under the leadership of Visionary Satyam Roychowdhury, the Techno India Group opened a 100-bed temporary Covid treatment hospital at Royal Park Stadium in Barrackpore, North 24 Parganas. Nehru Memorial Techno Global Hospital, a Satyam Roychowdhury venture under the Techno India Group's auspices, was built in response to a state government requirement. It contains 35 beds and is up and running. On May 31, another 35 beds will be added. On June 7, about 30 extra beds will be added.

Nursing care, monitoring, medicine, blood tests, x-rays, and oxygen will all be available. According to Dr. Sanku Bose, Group CEO of Techno India Group, a Covid Severity Score (CSS) software system will be introduced for the first time in Eastern India, through which patient parameters will be monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assess the severity of the disease and scale the treatment plan/ICU admission.

Good infrastructure and campus life, average faculty, and decent placements.

Placements: Around 70 to 75% of students in my B.Tech courses are placed by the time we graduate. The highest package offered is around 62 LPA, the lowest was approximately 3 LPA, and Top recruiting companies included TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant, etc.

Fine college in terms of value for money. Placements are somewhat low, around 3 LPA.

Placements: Of course, not all the students get placement, but you will get opportunities if your grades are fine. Almost no core jobs are available here. The highest package lies between 10-14 LPA in software-based MNCs, and the average is around 4.5 LPA. Companies like TCS, Capgemini, and Thoughtworks recruit here. The college does not provide any internships. Roles offered are System Engineer, Associate Software Developer, SDE 1, etc.

Playground is green. The Guards are supportive.

Placements: Almost 80 to 90% of the students get placed from the CSE branch. The highest package offered in our course is 65 LPA, and the minimum package is 6 LPA. The companies that come are Amazon, Flipkart, Google, TCS, Wipro, and many more. Almost 60 to 70% get internship.

Placements: College has a good placement rate. Service based companies came to our college and offered placements. The highest package of 2024 is 62 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA. If the students have knowledge, they can be easily placed, there is no need to worry about placement.
