MTech programme is offered in eight specialisations at NIT Andhra Pradesh namely Bioprocess Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Power Electronics and Drives, Computer Science and Data Analytics, Advanced Communication Systems and Signal Processing, Thermal Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering.

NIT Andhra Pradesh has not released the 2024 cutoff data for the M.Tech course. However, the GATE cutoff for NIT Andhra Pradesh in 2023, 2022 and 2021 can be different for each M.Tech specialisation and the candidates can be divided into different categories as well. Cutoff scores often depend on the number of students, the number of places and the standard of the entrance test. The total cost of the Master of Technology (MTech) programme at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Andhra Pradesh, India is INR 1.4 lakhs. This fee covers the cost of tuition and other academic expenses for the programme, such as textbooks, course materials, and laboratory fees. It is important to note that this fee may not include other expenses such as housing, food, transportation, and personal expenses

The M.Tech course at  NIT Andhra Pradesh is offered in full-time mode for two years. The names of the subjects included in the first semesters of M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering are as follows:

• Numerical Methods in Thermal Engineering

• Thermal Engineering Laboratory

NIT Andhra Pradesh offers 8 M.Tech specialisations, namely Bioprocess Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Computer Science and Data Analytics, Power Electronics and Drives, Advanced Communication Systems and Signal Processing, Thermal Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering, with a total of 10 seats for each specialisation.

National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh has affordable fee structure. The fee structure of the programme ranges between INR 75,000- INR 5 lakh. The fee structure has various components, namely tuition, security deposit, and hostel fee. Certain fee elements are one-time payments to be made at the time of NIT Andhra Pradesh admission, whereas others are recurring as per the norms of the institution fee policy.

NIT Andhra Pradesh offers various B.Tech course specialisations based on JEE Mains rank, followed by the JoSAA Counselling process. This year, in 2025, B.Tech closing ranks under the General HS quota ranged between 93928 and 17500, wherein B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering was the toughest, with the last round closing rank of 17,500 and B.Tech in Biotechnology the easiest.
