Great college with good faculty.
Placements: In my college 75 percent of students get placed every year. Top roles offered are System Engineer Data Analytics, Electrical Engineer, etc. 70 to 80 percent of students get internships from our course. These internships are really helpful for future.
Infrastructure: Our college has best infrastructure facilities. They contain Wi-Fi beautiful library and clean classrooms. The food in our hostel is really hygienic and healthy. Games period is also allotted in the timetable schedule. Food quality is very good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful highly qualified and very knowledgeable with their teaching quality. The curriculum is also very relevant and it makes the students industry ready. The semester exams are a bit difficult but we can manage to pass.

Pros and cons of the college.
Placements: Various scopes of opportunities are available for the course, while most of them are core recruiters. Most of the electronics-oriented core companies like Cisco Systems, LG Electronics Ltd, and Hero Electric are among the active recruiters from the college, with packages going up to 6.7 LPA.
Infrastructure: College has secured good rankings and recognition from various top organisations. To relax and chill, various activities are performed in the college, some of which include dedicated rooms, fitness centres, and badminton courts. Hostel zones were peaceful but highly restrictive.
Faculty: Professors have good experience with Certificates of Excellence in the profession of teaching, while assistant professors have a little bit of experience but provide good guidance to the students till the completion of the course. Also, they are learning technical skills from the professors, just like the students.

Master of Science in Physics at Nagaland.
Placements: Well, considering records of placements, it graphically changed over the years. But the training for placements was consistently given by the top trainers, which helped to enhance our knowledge with incredible efficiency. Most students got placed in core companies, with the highest pay being 15.4 LPA last year.
Infrastructure: The campus area was hygienic, with all facilities looked at by students to pursue their courses. Student safety was a priority for the management over other activities. Transportation on the college campus was very good. All the necessary safety measures were initiated in the college
Faculty: Academic excellence was superb, but teachers focused more on their teaching. A few students were disappointed with their teaching. Most teachers preferred to take classes using the SMART board and avoided using blackboards. Some of them simply read the textbooks and moved on.

Great college, Great crowd and awesome college life.
Placements: The EIE branch has the highest placement percentage. You can expect a median of nearly 8 LPA and an average of 8-9 LPA as well. In my branch, mostly placements vary between 90-100%, except for 2024. You can get placed in both IT and non-IT companies. You have to work on your skills to grab good internship offers. Overall, it's 8.4/10.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is fast enough and is available in all of campus. You get like upwards of 200-300mbps on laptops. On phones, it can vary between 35-120mbps. Classrooms are good enough to accommodate all of the students. Don’t expect modern classrooms. Classrooms are good but aren’t super modern or anything, though they get most of the work done. We have one cricket football ground, a badminton court, a cricket practice net, a volleyball court, and a basketball court. We are provided with table tennis. Hostels are really great as well with spacious rooms. The library is good as well and contains many books on different topics.
Faculty: Most of professors and teachers have done their Ph.D. from prestigious institutes. They are all very knowledgeable and explain concepts and topics really well. Teaching quality is excellent. The course curriculum is similar to most other NITs, i.e., the same syllabus for all branches in the first semester. Though, unlike many other NITs, in the second semester, every branch gets a unique exclusive subject and practical subject. The curriculum is good and relevant. Exams aren’t that tough. Questions test all of the stuff you learn in the lectures, though. You can easily score high in exams with a small amount of study.
Other: I chose EIE because it has a high placement ratio and you learn both hardware and software well. The events and fests in the college are very great. The main annual fest is called Ekarikthin + Teach-Avinya. It's the biggest technical and cultural fest of college, and it's really awesome. You can win a lot of prize money in the technical/cultural events in the fest aswell. Extracurricular activities are good as well. Many are good at dancing, singing and at sports etc. Crowd is good too. Connectivity is really good as you can easily reach the college by train.

Good infrastructure and facilities with a chill semester, enough time to pursue your interest.
Placements: Placements are good. It depends upon your skills. Most known companies like TCS, Wipro, Deloitte, Vedanta, etc., visit our college for placements. Most of the hardworking students get placed. The average package may be around 7 LPA to 8 LPA. The highest package may be around 12 LPA to 15 LPA (on-campus).
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good as compared to other North East College. Hostel is newly built. All hostels and campus are equipped with Wi-Fi. In the first year, your hostel will be just outside the campus. All the hostel rooms are double and triple-sharing and have enough space for 3 and 4 members. Lab facility of the college is very good. It has all the necessary equipment with good infrastructure. New departmental buildings are also under construction.
Faculty: Teaching quality is very good. All the teachers here are qualified and have good knowledge of their subjects. Semesters are very easy as compared to any other college. It is very easy to get pass and get good grades. In one semester, you have 1 mid-semester, 2 quizzes, 1 end-semester, and lab exams.

No, you can not get into NIT Nagaland's BTech programme without having appeared in JEE Mains. The main selection criteria of the course is scores obtained in the JEE Mains exam only, hence, admission without it is not possible. Participating in the JoSAA counselling is also necessary.
