NIT Meghalaya BTech Highlights 2025
NIT Meghalaya BTech is a four-year-long undergraduate programme. It is a regular programme for class twelve passed-out students. This programme is spread across various specialisations, including Civil, Mechanical, and Computer Science. Admission to NIT Meghalaya BTech courses is based on JEE Main scores, followed by JoSAA counselling.
NOTE: The mentioned fee is taken from the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and, hence, is indicative.
Admission to the BTech programme is only possible when candidates pass the following eligibility and selection:
- Eligibility criteria: Class 12 in PCM stream from a recognised University with minimum 75 %
- Selection criteria: A valid score from the JEE Main + JoSAA Counselling
NIT Meghalya BTech Fees 2025
The fee structure of NIT Meghalya courses is a combination of a number of components, such as tuition fee, hostel fee, medical insurance, mess and other security deposits, etc. Out of all the fee components, there are a few components that are charged one-time. However, some are to be paid semester-wise or annually, such as the tuition fees. As per official sources, the total tuition fee to pursue BTech is INR 5 lakh. The 2023 cutoff for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering was 25978, which was the least competetive specialisations offered by NIT Nagaland. The cutoff for the year 2022 was 17921 and for the year 2021 it was 24041. As per the date it concludes that cutoff for 2023 is higher compare to the previous two years, which indicates the rise in demand of the CSE course.
NIT Meghalaya JEE Main Round 6 cutoff for Computer Science Engineering is 19175 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this. For the SC AI category candidates, the Cutoff for various courses ranged between 3059 and 7043, among which Computer Science and Engineering was the most competitive course. BTech in Civil Engineering was the least competitive course, for the SC AI category candidates.
For the ST AI category candidates, the Cutoff ranged between 974 and 2652, for different specialisations. BTech in CSE was the most competitive course while BTech in Mechanical Engineering was the least competitive one.
