NIT Meghalaya BTech Highlights 2025
NIT Meghalaya BTech is a four-year-long undergraduate programme. It is a regular programme for class twelve passed-out students. This programme is spread across various specialisations, including Civil, Mechanical, and Computer Science. Admission to NIT Meghalaya BTech courses is based on JEE Main scores, followed by JoSAA counselling.

Admission to the BTech programme is only possible when candidates pass the following eligibility and selection:

NIT Meghalya BTech Fees 2025
The fee structure of NIT Meghalya courses is a combination of a number of components, such as tuition fee, hostel fee, medical insurance, mess and other security deposits, etc. Out of all the fee components, there are a few components that are charged one-time. The NIT Meghalaya JEE Mains Cutoff 2024 was released for Round 1. The Cutoff ranks were released for different categories for various BTech specialisations. For the SC AI category candidates, the Cutoff for various courses ranged between 3059 and 7043, among which Computer Science and Engineering was the most competitive course. Admission to NIT Meghalaya BTech programme is entirely based on JEE Main exam. Based on the JEE Main exams score candidates are provided admission to BTech programme in NIT Meghalaya. Also candidates have to eligible for the BTech course with twelve years of school education with PCM/ PBM with minimum of 75 % aggregate and ofcourse a valid score in JEE Main exam.

NIT Meghalaya offers BTech programmes with a duration of four years. BTech programme at NIT Meghalaya is offered in provides five specialisations for the BTech programme, which include Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. The eligibility criteria for the BTech specialisations includes tweleve years of shcool education with 75% aggregate. National entrance exams is the source of admission for the BTech programme.
The total fee for the BTech programme at NIT Meghalaya is INR 5 lakh, Total fee is calculated based on annual/ semester fee available for the academic year 2022-23, hence is indicative. ST/SC & PH students are fully exempted from paying tuition fees, while the most economically backward students (whose family income is less than Rs.1.00 Lacs per annum) are granted full remission of the tuition fee. Other economically backward students, whose family income falls between Rs.1.00 to 5.00 Lacs per annum, are granted a remission of 2/3rd of the tuition fee.

Yes, JEE Main 2024 dates for admission to NIT Meghalaya BTech programme are out now but the dates are tentative. The JEE Main registraton has closed for now. NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2024 exam in two sessions in January and April. The exact date of the exam for both sessions will be announced in the notification. JEE Main exam dates for BTech programme for admission to NIT Meghalaya is scheduled on Jan 24, which is tentative. As per the exam pattern of JEE Mains, the exam is conducted online as a Computer Based Test. JEE Main 2024 will have three papers, Paper 1 for admission to BE/BTech course, Paper 2A for BArch admission and Paper 2B for BPlan course admission. The duration of the JEE Main exam is three hours and has Multiple Choice (MCQ) and Integer Value (Numerical Value Answer) type questions. You can get CSE in GFTI as per the JoSSA counselling cutoff last year. You cannot get any branch, like CSE, ECE in NIT at this rank.
