NIT Manipur JEE Main cutoff 2024 has been released for admission to the BTech courses. During the Round 1 cutoff, the closing rank for CSE was 25886 for the General category students under the AII India Quota. Among OBC candidates, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering stood at 8750. Yes, 13K is a good rank in JEE Main for admission at NIT Nagaland, if you belong to the General AI category. This category had the first and last round cutoff ranging from 32418 to 111764 in the last round. Hence, admission with a 13K rank is possible for the General AI category candidates; other categories will have different qualifying cutoffs. 

NIT Nagaland offers a total of four specialisations for its M.Tech course. The specialisations is offered are listed below:

NIT Nagaland provides various programmes and specialisations to students. These courses are available in different streams. For obtaining NIT Nagaland admission, candidates are selected on the basis of entrance tests. No, as per the official website, a student cannot take direct admission to NIT Nagaland. Students have to clear their respective entrance exams for the courses they wish to get into. For admission to BTech and MTech, students must have a valid score in JEE Main and GATE exams, respectively, and go through their counselling processes to secure a seat at the institute. Similar to these UG and PG courses, admission is entrance and interview-based for PhD. 

NIT Nagaland offers BTech, M.Tech MSc and PhD programme. Candidates who have twelve years of school education with 75% aggregate and a valid JEE Main scores are eligible for the BTech course. For the MTech, candidates who have a Bachelor's Degree in any stream and a valid scorein the GATE score. Also candidates with a bachelor's degree in Science and IIT Jam score are eligible for the MSc programe. And finally for the PhD candidates must have master's degree  in Engineering or Technology, a valid GATE/JRF/ UGC NET/ CSIR NET score.

The dates for JoSAA counselling 2026 choice filling will be announced once the result of JEE Main 2026 is declared. Candidates can fill choices only during the choice filling period. Also, candidates need to lock their choices before the last date.

NIT Nagaland offers specialisations in UG, PG and PhD level. Programmes such as Mechanical Engineering, CSE, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and more are offered in full-time mode on the basis of merit and entrance. Candidates qualifying the entrance exams and securing scores within the cutoff limit are shortlisted for further consideration. For NIT Nagaland BTech, candidates must secure a 75% in Class 12. Whereas, for courses such as MSc and MTech, candidates must secure 60% in graduation. NIT Nagaland considers JEE Main, IIT JAM, CCMN, GATE, CCMT, UGC NET etc. to shortlist candidates for admission.

NIT Nagaland has a sanction of around 200 seats for admission in BTech programme. For admission at MSc, NIT Nagaland offers 20 seats with two specialisations and 2 years of course duration. The Institute offers 66 seats for admission at MTech including the 4 specialisations within the programme. The Institute also offers PhD in various specialisations along side the UG and PG level programmes. 

National Institute of Technology Nagaland offers Btech in Mechanical Engineering, CSE, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering as a full-time 4 year programmes. 

The Institute offers MSc with two specialisations i.e MSc in Physics and MSc in Chemistry. 

NIT Nagaland MTech is available with specialisations such as Computer Science and Engineering, VLSI Systems, Power Systems Engineering, Communication Engineering as a 2 year full-time programme.

NIT Nagaland offers Computer Science and Engineering and Mechanical Engineering as 2 seperate specialisations, available as a 3 years PhD programme.

NIT Nagaland is based in Dimapur, Nagaland. It has a sturdy infrastructure that provide access to a central library and clean classrooms and labs. The overall infrastructure is great. The hostel for boys and girls are seperate and the main building is close to them. There are immense facilities for sports in the campus with indoor activities including Table Tennis, badminton, chess and carrom for rejuvenation. The outdoor games include football and cricket. Students also have access to digital library.  There is also a provision for ATM and medical facilities in the campus.

NIT Nagaland admission starts with the registration process for JEE Main January session. Admission to NIT Nagaland is subject to various national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main and GATE. The flagship programme of NIT Nagaland is BTech which is offered across six specialisations. Admission to BTech is based on JEE Main scores followed by JoSSA Counselling. For MTech and MSc, admission is subject to GATE and IIT JAM exams, respectively. MTech and MSc also have counsellig based admission. CCMT and CCMT are the counselling platform through which the qualified MSc and MTech are admitted.

Candidates who have completed a bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Also, have a valid GATE Score and a decent work experience is eligible for M.Tech at NIT Nagaland. The GATE Cutoff for each NIT will vary and each NIT will release its GATE cutoff based on the following factors. Since all the programmes of NIT Nagaland are entrance exam based. So seats are allotted through individual counselling. For example, a BTech seat is allotted through JoSSA counselling. To apply for BTech based on national-level entrance exam, candidates need to visit the official website of NTA to fill out the application form and pay the prescribed application fee online. NIT Nagaland JEE Main cutoff 2025 has been released for round 1. The cutoff was released for candidates belonging to the All India quota. Among the General AI category candidates, the closing ranks in round 1 varied between 32418 and 52097. Among the OBC AI category candidates, the cutoff ranks varied between 10142 and 15994.
