NIT Nagaland BTech course is offered across six specializations, including Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, etc. The UG-level course lasts for four years and is spread across eight semesters.
NIT Nagaland BTech admission is subject to JEE Main scores, followed by JoSAA Counselling. Any seats, if left vacant, are filled via the CSAB Counselling. NIT Nagaland admission starts with the registration process for JEE Main January session. Admission to NIT Nagaland is subject to various national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main and GATE. No, you can not get into NIT Nagaland's BTech programme without having appeared in JEE Mains. The main selection criteria of the course is scores obtained in the JEE Mains exam only, hence, admission without it is not possible. Participating in the JoSAA counselling is also necessary.

NIT Nagaland accepts the GATE entrance exam, followed by the CCMT counselling process for admission to the M.Tech programme. For 2025, the Round 1 cutoff has been released, wherein the scores were in the range of 350 and 486 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. The cutoff scores vary

You can get CSE in GFTI as per the JoSSA counselling cutoff last year. You cannot get any branch, like CSE, ECE in NIT at this rank.
