The curriculum is outdated, there are no placements, and facilities are average.
Placements: I am from the 2025 batch of the Computer Science course. Unfortunately, in our batch, no students got placed through on-campus placements. There are no official internship offers or recruitment drives conducted for our course. As a result, students have to explore off-campus opportunities, internships, or prepare for higher studies. No data is available regarding package details, recruiting companies, or roles, as placement activity is not facilitated.
Infrastructure: The department has basic infrastructure. It includes Wi-Fi, computer labs, smart classrooms, and access to the central library with academic resources. Lab equipment is limited and sometimes outdated. I do not stay in the hostel, so I cannot comment on hostel living conditions, mess, food, or canteen services. However, based on general feedback from peers, hostel and mess facilities are average. Medical support and sports facilities are available on campus, but need better maintenance and accessibility.
Faculty: Faculty members are generally helpful and have the required qualifications. But the teaching quality varies from teacher to teacher. Some are knowledgeable and supportive, while others focus only on theory. The curriculum is outdated and lacks practical exposure, making it less aligned with current industry needs. Semester exams are moderately difficult. Mostly based on theoretical knowledge and previous years' questions. The pass percentage is high, with most students managing to pass without much difficulty.

Outdated curriculum, poor facilities & weak placement support – not recommended.
Placements: Placements: Very poor, only 0-5% students placed. Overall, not recommended for students expecting quality placements or industry exposure. Roles offered: Mostly BPO or support roles, not relevant to our core field. Overall, not recommended for students expecting quality placements or industry exposure.
Infrastructure: Department facilities: The labs were outdated, and many systems didn’t work properly. Wi-Fi was slow and often unavailable. Classrooms lacked smart boards and were poorly maintained. The library had limited books and outdated material. Hostel & mess: Hostel rooms were congested with poor cleanliness. Washrooms were often dirty. Food in the mess was tasteless, repetitive, and sometimes unhygienic. Canteen options were very limited.
Faculty: Faculty & teaching quality: Most teachers were not helpful or engaging. Many lacked updated industry knowledge. Teaching was mostly theory-based, with little focus on practical learning or student understanding. Curriculum relevance: The course was outdated and not aligned with current industry needs. No exposure to modern tools or real-world projects. It doesn’t make students industry-ready. Exams & results: Semester exams were average in difficulty but poorly structured. Many students passed by rote learning. The pass percentage was around 80-85%, but actual learning was minimal.

Overall, the college is not so bad it's budget friendly.
Placements: As a pass out student, I just say that for placements you should not depend on the college because companies are not visiting this college too much, and TNP does not have good connections with top companies. If you have something extra, then college will help you with that with their connection otherwise, there are less chances to get placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not bad, its quite good. Wi-Fi is available in labs and library is also good. But about hostel I don't have much idea because I am not taking this facility. But my friends say that hostel is not good enough and even food provided is not good at all.
Faculty: Teachers are well educated but they are not interested in providing some knowledge to students. They are just doing lecture and that's it. For industry-level preparation, not enough prepared but the college needs to take extra efforts from their side.
Other: Events are celebrated by the college with full of race and energy, and every festival we celebrate in the college. Events are organised every month and students are participating in them.

Good placement and supportive faculty, with scope for curriculum improvement.
Placements: I completed my bachelor of technology computer science (B.Tech CSE) from the 2025 passing out batch. Some of the top recruiters include. Infosys, Wipro, TCS, and Cognizant. About 70% of students got internships. Software Developer, frontend developer, business analyst, and system engineer.
Infrastructure: Our department has well-equipped computer labs with the latest systems and the highest speed Wi-Fi connectivity available throughout the academic block. Classrooms are spacious, have projectors and smart boards, making lectures more interactive. The central library is well stocked with a variety of technical books and journals.
Faculty: The faculty members are helpful and quite knowledgeable in their subjects. Most of them hold postgraduate degrees and has practical experience, which makes the lecture more engaging. They also guide us in projects, internships, and paper presentations. The teachers are very good.
Other: I was part of the 2025 passing-out batch from the B.Tech in computer science course. I chose this course because of my keen interest in technology, programming, and building software applications.

Really good infrastructure and environment. Good faculty members, but average placement.
Placements: In our computer science engineering, major roles are offered for software engineer, front-end developer, back-end developer, and devOps. Internships have been provided to some children in college. Here, students are also prepared for off-campus drives, and mentors are also provided.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is very organized and fully managed. Multiple labs are also arranged at the college every semester, and the network connectivity is also very good.
Faculty: College faculty members have a lot of knowledge and at the same time, they are very cooperative. They always help students with their queries and always try to solve the problems. Industrial visits are also included in the course curriculum at the college. Industrial visits are mostly conducted in some companies like Network. Faculty members are also very helpful and cooperative.
Other: Extracurricular activities are also organized for better development of students.

Q:   Is there enough demand for BTech graduates in the job market?
ShikshaGPT says
A:

If we look at the market demand, no doubt there is huge demand for BTech (Full Form: Bachelor of Technology) graduates among top recruiters who are constantly looking for skilled and knowledgeable students with fresh ideas to enhance their business growth and profitability.

Having said that, a few previous-year employment reports published by the Business Standard and Times of India suggest that students found it a struggle to land a high-paying job after completing BTech because of a lack of industry-specific skills and knowledge and cut-throat competition between Lacs of engineering students hunting for a job.

Hence, it is very important for students to focus on enhancing their skill set according to industrial demands and technological advancements, stay updated regarding all industry trends, build good networks and, most importantly, take up internships to gain experience and stand out in front of the employer.
