B.Sc. in Physical Science with Chemistry - Batch of 2028

NIRF No. 1-ranked college, best college in North Campus, DU.
Placements: Most students prepare for government jobs or pursue their master's. There are hardly any placements in this course. Only 1 or 2 students out of 60–70 students get placed, either in chemical industries or medicine-related industries. I am not aware of the exact number.
Infrastructure: Overall, the college has good infrastructure, but our Science department is a bit poor in terms of infrastructure. The auditorium is excellent, the library is excellent, and the Chemistry labs are excellent, but the Physics labs are a bit frustrating due to the lack of proper apparatus. Wi-Fi is not available throughout the college yet, but we are expecting to get it soon. I have not opted for the hostel.
Faculty: Faculty is good, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also good. The course curriculum is relevant, but we have to complete part of the syllabus by ourselves due to a lack of time. Semester exams are good and not that difficult. Most students pass easily if they study well.
Other: I chose this course so that I may have a chance to pursue a master's in any of the three subjects, as I had no idea about it earlier. However, people consider the program bad. This is why my course is considered underrated, but it is not. Things are improving, such as the extension of library timings and the availability of water throughout the campus. There are a lot of extracurricular activities in the college, like debates, drama, dance, singing, modelling, and so on. There are a lot of societies for students to improve their hidden talents. Fests are awesome.

Hindu College is highly regarded.
Placements: Hindu College placements are among the best in North Campus. That is why, even as per NIRF rankings, we are among the top colleges in Delhi. I am not aware of the exact placement figures, as I have just joined the college. B.Com (Hons) students get placements, and my course also has decent placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: Hindu College is right next to St. Stephen's College, and we have a hostel on our campus. Our college has two canteens and a Nescafe kiosk too. The library is comparatively small compared to other colleges, as I have visited various other colleges. Sports facilities are also good. In the indoor sports room, there is a TT table, and I love playing there.
Faculty: I won't say so far, so good, as our faculty members are known to be among the best in India. A doctorate is one thing, but showing character that helps connect with students is another aspect. Our faculty members have found that connection. In just 2 months, I have happily made really good connections with them.
Other: From what I heard about the crowd at Hindu College, I find it even better. The main events of the college will be in the next semester, but so far, from orientation to traditional day, I have enjoyed both events at Hindu College.

Good infrastructure and facilities etc.
Placements: I don't have that much of an idea because I have just started my 1st semester. Hindu College's overall 2025 placement figures are much higher, 24.8 LPA the highest and 11.4 LPA average, but those are college-wide, not specifically for English. Some recruiters associated with Hindu College placements include Deloitte, EY, and KPMG.
Infrastructure: The classrooms, labs, and infrastructure are really good. The food in the canteen is really affordable and tastes good. The only negative thing is the Wi-Fi because it is not reachable in every part of the college. The library is really good, clean, and cozy.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful and interactive. The course curriculum is relevant and really delves into literature. The exams are not that hard, they are easy to pass if you have done the right reading and completed the novels. The syllabus is good.
Other: I chose English Honours because I have always been interested in literature, cinema, storytelling, and the way language shapes how we understand people and society, i think the course could become even more engaging with more interactive teaching methods, discussions, workshops, and opportunities to connect literature with contemporary issues, cinema, media, and everyday life.

Good crowd, faculty, societies, but do not expect much with the infrastructure.
Placements: Placements are handled by Placement Cell, which brings in companies for internships and full-time roles. Apart from that, there is another internship cell that often works together with them. Most students from my department pursue higher studies or go for civil service exams, very few choose to work right after their Bachelor's. If they do, it is usually in sectors of political consulting in firms, think tanks, research, or editorial roles.
Infrastructure: Very below-average infra. Wi-Fi is inconsistent throughout campus and barely reaches the second floor of the library. Most networks don't work except for Airtel here, even my DU network is not functional. Water is quite chlorinated, sanitary napkin dispensers often don't have pads, but the canteen and library are good, though. Canteen is quite affordable.
Faculty: Faculty is well-read, knowledgeable, and qualified, and the course is quite theoretical and reading-heavy, more focused on academia. There is a good emphasis on critical thinking and independent analysis of scholarly works. Students are expected to do the reading on their own rather than rely heavily on AI, notes, or UPSC materials. Semester exams are doable if you attend classes and keep up with what is going on in the classes. Attendance is strict, requiring 67 percent, though societies (that you're active in) help you out sometimes with attendance benefits.

B.A. (hons) Philosophy is best to make career in Academia.
Placements: I actually don't know about the placements yet because I joined college very late. But I heard from my seniors talking about that. After philosophy, a student can choose law as one of their careers, which is indeed a very good profession. Also, philosophy, if done with a minor degree in commerce, can lead to job roles like HR manager in corporate as well.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. We have ACs in our classrooms. The philosophy department has its own lobby where all the classes are held. Unfortunatly, there is a hostel only for girls with all limited seats. Hostel for boys is not yet available.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. DSCs we are studying are very interesting, i.e., logic, ethics, metaphysics, Indian philosophy, etc. Philosophy in itself is a very interesting subject. Faculty members of our department are the best in the entire university. All the faculty members of our department are well qualified and are amazing teachers.

Hindu College - The dream college.
Placements: Currently, I am in the first year. I have no idea about placements but I heard from seniors, and they said there were many good packages over the years. Many students also got good internships. English department is good, and the vibe is the best for studying.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi issues exist on the entire campus. Classrooms are decent and in some classes AC works, but in some it doesn't. But the overall infrastructure is good. Cleanliness is top-notch. Staff is good and supportive. I don't live in the college hostel, but students who stay there said the food is good.
Faculty: Teachers are most helpful and the best in the whole campus. They are well-qualified. They clearly teach the topics. The curriculum is relevant and helps students to be industry-ready. I haven't given any exam yet, so I don't know about the exam, but a senior said they are good.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in English literature. The best thing is that it's so interesting. I would like to improve the Wi-Fi structure on campus.
