P.A.college of engineering and technology review.

Placements: The placements offered were good for our batch. Almost 90% of the students were placed. The highest salary offered was 6.5 lacs per annum and the lowest being 1.5 lacs per annum and the average salary offered is 2.75 lacs per annum. For the mechanical department, we had the placements from almost 12 companies (3 IT and 9 core companies). About 20% percent of the students got an internship and the highest stipend offered was 15 thousand per month and the average offered is 12 thousand per month and the lowest being 6 thousand per month.

Infrastructure: The main block of the college has a significant attraction. Wi-Fi and the library were good. Not a very good atmosphere if you need to excel in the sports. The quality of the labs, classrooms and the food offered in the canteen are average. The hostel rooms are just okay. The ventilation in the labs and the classrooms have to be improved (it would be better if air-conditioners are provided in these rooms). Still, they use old design software in design labs which have to be updated.

Faculty: The faculty members here are good. But the management needs to recruit the skilled faculty members. Some of the faculty members interactively take classes but some don't. The student-faculty ratio is 8:1. You can get an average industry exposure. They keep frequent tests so if you are a guy who needs to learn in depth of the subjects this college is for you. The management will provide you scholarships if you have scored a good percentage in you 12th board exam.

Other: Apart from this, they conduct an intra-college symposium, and the faculty members here encourage the students to participate in the inter-college symposium and paper presentations. More than everything I got great friends here which is more important than anything.

Other: My college was located at a very good location. The education is good in the college but the teaching method needs to be improved and good books need to be provided here. The placements are not up to the mark and good companies are not coming for the recruitments. The mechanical department is good in the college with good laboratories and staff members' culture, but the placements need to be improved in the mechanical stream.
