Academic excellence and innovation: A journey at Pragati Engineering College

Placements: 85% are placed. The highest package is 40 LPA, the lowest is 3.5 LPA, and the average is 10 LPA. The top recruiting company for our course is TCS, and about 90% got internships. The top role offered in our course is data analyst.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is good and very well maintained by the college management. We have different classrooms and blocks for all the departments, and well-suited labs are provided for all departments as per their curriculum. Also, there are facilities like a central library, canteen, medical facilities, and a ground for involvement in sports and games.

Faculty: All the teachers in my college are well-educated and well-mannered and have a lot of knowledge in their respective subjects. All of them are well qualified in their subjects, and the course curriculum provided is very good and useful so that all students are industry-ready. The semester exams in our college are very well conducted and somewhat difficult, and the pass percentage is 25%.

Other: My batch is well-mannered and well-disciplined.

Good faculty and decent placements for data science.

Placements: Around 85% of students get placed. The highest package was 12 LPA, with an average of 24.5 LPA. Top recruiters are TCS, Wipro, and Capgemini. About 50% got internships. Top roles offered are data analyst and ML engineer.

Infrastructure: The data science depth has dedicated labs with modern software. The campus is Wi-Fi-enabled with smart classrooms and a good library. Hostel rooms are well-maintained. Mess food is decent, and the canteen is good. The college has excellent sports facilities.

Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and supportive, most with PhDs. The teaching quality is excellent. The curriculum is relevant, covering Python, ML, and big data, which makes us industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately tough, with a pass rate of over 90%.

Other: The best aspects are the dedicated faculty and practical labs. Wish we had more industry collaborations. The campus life is engaging with fests like PRAGATI. The college also supports sports and cultural activities.

To be frank, faculty members are below average. But coming to placements, its better.

Placements: Total offers exceeded 1500 as of May 2025. The highest domestic package reaches 40 LPA (offered at Autodesk). The average package is approximately 5 LPA (range observed around 4 LPA to 6 LPA). Reported placement rate is around 70%, with some departments reaching over 75% placement. Placement trends over recent years. 2024 placement summary: more than 1,412 offers as of July 2024. The highest package recorded 40 LPA (Autodesk), other top offers included 29 LPA - 26 LPA, 10.8 LPA, etc. Accenture, Deloitte, HP, Tvarana, Teachnook, RINEX, BigWorks, and TCS (Digital & Ninja) are among the major recruiters.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of Pragati Engineering College is not good, and not very bad, that means some places are good but some places are bad. Main thing is that classrooms and labs are very bad because sufficient number of benches in the classroom and systems are working properly.

Faculty: PEC offers B.Tech (undergraduate) and M.Tech (postgraduate) engineering programs. It operates under autonomous status while being affiliated with JNTU, Kakinada. The curriculum follows the R23 regulation for students admitted in 2024-2025. This includes detailed first-year and second-year syllabus, and separate structures per departmental stream civil, EEE, ME, ECE, CSE (including AI/ML, data science, etc), and IT. PEC provides syllabus for earlier regulations too (R20, R19, R16) covering all departments. Courses are credit-based, and students must earn a specific number of credits (e.g., 132 for B.Tech) to qualify for the degree.

I would recommend this college only for placements.

Placements: Over 1000+ students are placed in my college. Some companies like Amazon recruit from our college. The highest package is 45 LPA the lowest is 3.5 LPA and sometimes 3 LPA for Mechanical students. The average package is 5 LPA. Placement-wise, it's a good college, but for education, it's average. So, our college is good, but not that good, not bad, just okay and nice.

Infrastructure: It's a small college, with maybe three blocks, but the number of students is so many, so classrooms are not sufficient. That's why, I told for placement, I will give my college four stars, but for infrastructure and others, I will give only 3 stars. There is no proper canteen or anything in our college.

Faculty: As per the curriculum, it's okay to good, but when it comes to the faculty, they are not that good. There may be specialized faculty members, but I mostly see the same faculty members every time. They only change the subject. Everything is the same, and nothing is okay. I'll give three stars. We should see the same faculty faces every time in every semester.

Other: I am a Diploma student in Mechanical Engineering, and I have heard that this college offers many placements. If you have a CSE branch, you can get a placement easily. I am also interested in Computer Science, Technology, Computers, etc., so I chose this. While coming to events, there are no events organized, no cultural activities, it's like zero. It's like a school, with morning from 9 AM to 5 PM. They do provide scholarships, which is okay. They also provide extracurricular activities, but the crowd is so much.

A brief view of Pragati Engineering College.

Placements: Almost more than 1500 students secured placement from Pragati Engineering College. In which a girl named Telugunta Sahana secured a 40 LPA from the branch of CSE (Data Science) the lowest package starts from 2.8 LPA. The average package is up to 4 LPA to 7 LPA and the highest package from 10 LPA. Accenture is the topmost recruiter in our college. The roles that are offered in our course are data analyst, data entry operator, data scientist, etc. I'm studying in 2nd year so still there is sometime for a chance of our placements.

Infrastructure: Course is well but hostel is waste of money. Food quality is average and medical facilities are good. Sports and games facilities are better. It is comparatively better than outside rooms and then there is space and Wi-Fi is also good. Classrooms are equipped with speakers and projectors but in some of the classes only they are arranged.

Faculty: The teaching staff is great. They teach us very well and they simplify the content by teaching us logically. Course curriculum can make students industry-ready. Pass percentage of semesters is 99.15%. The teaching staff are friendly with every student so that every doubt could be asked without any introvertness.

I really like this college which makes us very comfortable.

Placements: The percentage of students placed last year is 80. The highest package is 10 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. Many MNC companies visited our college for the drive, like Accenture, Tech Mahindra, CarTrade, etc. Many students are placed in these companies.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of our college are very comfortable and spacious. There is a Wi-Fi facility on our campus, and the classrooms are very spacious. The benches are very neat. Our library has a large number of books which are used by students for studying. We have a canteen where we hang out with our friends, and our canteen is very good and of high quality.

Faculty: Our faculty has a lot of experience, and they are very professional. They teach us with examples. Teachers are engaged with us. Faculty support and encourage us in every aspect. Our HOD is very supportive and conducts events for us. Teachers encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities.

Other: I chose this course (Data Science) because in the future, these courses have high priority and more demand. Data Science has more future scope.

Title: Great Infrastructure but Room for Improvement in Faculty

Placements: 95% of the students got placed in different companies. Highest package is about 40 LPA and average package is about 7 LPA and least is 4.5 LPA in Infosys ,Cognizant. The training and testing error performing jobs has been ordered in the interviews.

Infrastructure: The hostel management is managed very well by the college management and hygiene food is provided to the students in order to check the health of the students. The classrooms are wide and spacious. The wifi is 24/7 available across the hostel. The food is good and hygienic.

Faculty: Teachers play an important role in helping various objectives like encouraging in participating in various activities. Teachers are well educated and highly qualified and dignified. There is no partiality between the students and they help us in all the ways and semester exams are strictly conducted by the college management and there is scope for copying.

Other: I chose data science because I want to become a data Scientist and the fests are conducted less and yearly once in the month of January. Scholarship is provided for the college and they encourage the students.
