RKMGEC is an overview of a government institution in West Bengal.
Placements: My course is Electrical Engineering. Generally speaking, our college is good in terms of affordability but not great for placements. However, if you are a diligent student and work hard, you can easily find a good job. The placement scenario in our college is mostly dependent on individual brilliance. With that said, the average package ranges from 3.5 LPA to 4.5 LPA. Also, most of our students opt for higher education or other government jobs (GATE or ESE).
Infrastructure: The college facilities are below average. The internet connection is unstable throughout the campus, with Wi-Fi being almost useless. Labs are not up to the mark due to a lack of funding from the government. Classrooms are decent, but they lack smart class features. As for the hostel, it is clean and tidy, and the maintenance is good. But the internet issue still persists inside the hostel.
Faculty: Faculty members are above average in our college. They all have great knowledge of their respective subjects. Moreover, teachers help keep track of industry standards and help students learn new skills. However, the course curriculum is not relevant, as several subjects related to industrial knowledge are excluded. When it comes to semester exams, they are quite easy, and you just have to score 40% to get promoted to the next semester.
Other: The reason I choose the electrical domain is that I have a strong passion for it. Also, the scope for both government and private jobs is ample. You can also pursue higher studies in areas like VLSI or EVs to secure a high salary. The college also hosts several cultural and technical events, such as Independence Day, Sports Day, and Saraswati Puja, to name a few.

Review of Ramkrishna Mahato Government Engineering College.
Placements: Ramkrishna Mahato Government Engineering College has a placement cell. Many students are placed in various companies through this placement cell. Almost 70% of students are placed in companies. The average package of this college is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, L&T, etc. Since this college is new, the placements are a little bit fewer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very beautiful and attractive. In every department of this college, Wi-Fi is available for the students. Hostel facilities are not available for 1st and 2nd year boys. From the 3rd year, boys are allotted to hostels. Hostels are available to girls beginning in their first year.
Faculty: The faculty members are very highly qualified. The teachers are teaching in a very proper and easy-to-understand way for the students. The semester exams at MAKAUT University are difficult, but our teachers make them very easy. The teaching quality is very good.
Other: Our college organizes many types of events, like Saraswati Puja, Biswakarma Puja, Independence Day, Freshers' Party, Farewell Party, Fest, etc.

Honest review of Ramkrishna Mahato government Engineering College, Purulia.
Placements: Approximately 60% of students got placed. The highest package was 12 LPA this year, and the lowest package was 4.4 LPA. For core branches, a few companies are coming to get students, but more IT companies are coming, like TCS, Capgemini, Amazon, Infosys and many other IT companies.
Infrastructure: All types of facilities are available; the infrastructure is also good but you will not get library facilities properly. The librarian is not good. Hostel: for first- and second-year boys, the hostel is not available but the girls' hostel is. Still, I don't have a hostel so I don't have any idea about the quality but as per my knowledge, it's good enough. Faculty members are also good and friendly. They teach nicely.
Faculty: Yes, faculty members are helpful and qualified; a few are visiting faculty members who are average. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant. Yes, this makes students industry ready but I think labs should be upgraded and a slight change in curriculum would be better. Yes, in this college semester, exams are difficult. Rooms are monitored by three faculty members along with a CCTV during exams in the exam hall. If anyone is thinking about cheating in an exam, you may ignore this college.
Other: Yes, I want. First, the college is located approximately 19 km away from Purulia Main. Transportation available there also have a train station at Chasroad - Chasroad Station. Otherwise, bus facilities are available. I chose this course because I want to appear in GATE. I think more labs are required in my course as well. More books are in the library. Yes, there are events; there are no compromises in this. All types of events and extracurricular activities are available. And campus life is also good but due to the location of Purulia, the temperature may be slightly higher than in other districts. The surroundings are also good but there's a factry near the college that's very irritating. SVMCM, AIKYASHREE, and NSP scholarships are available.

Really good infrastructure and surrounding, you will not repent your admission here.
Placements: Nearly 60% of the students get placed in every course in which major go for the IT sector. If we compare placement in the core company, it is not more. Out of 60 students, 35 to 40 are placed on campus, 8 in core and rest in the IT. The highest package is 12 LPA, the lowest is 3.5 LPA while average being 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, INFOSYS, COGNIZANT etc. While in the core it is VEDA, IIT and some startups. No internship facilities are provided by the college, you need to find it on your own. However, some student from our college has found it on its own.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in our college is average. The Wi-Fi connection is weak and the labs are not completely furnished and equipped. Many instruments are out of date. The library is present with minimum number of books but are available freely. The subject teachers or faculty members are always there to help you out if you want to reach them. The mess facilities are better. They provide food 2 times in a day, majority times non veg. The food is properly cooked. Medical facilities are not so proper Sports and games are held twice every year.
Faculty: The faculty members in our course are very helpful. They will always help you in whatever problem you are. They are also knowledgeable and teaching quality is fair. The course curriculum is a bit out of date but teaching quality makes it relevant and makes the students aware of the industry. The semester exam is not so difficult. It is very easy to pass, you just have to get 4.5 CGPA to pass.
Other: I chose electrical engineering because this was the subject which fascinated me a lot in my school. The best thing about this course is that the advent of new electronic technology will give this course a scope in the upcoming world. Electricity is what which powers the world. The things which could be better is a well-furnished lab, alumni association and industrial experience. There are a lot of scholarship like OASIS. Event and fests happen regularly. The surrounding is much of sceneries and would be liked by nature lovers.

Placements: Around 75% of students get placed in different companies. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, the lowest salary package is 4 LPA, and the average salary package is from 5 LPA to 6 LPA. Top recruiting company is Softtronics. Around 50% of students get internships in different companies. Software engineer roles are offered.
Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is facilitated in our college. Labs are in very good condition. Digital classrooms are available to study. Hostel facility is good and serves meals 2 times a day. Food quantity and quality is good. Sports are organised every year. Medical facilities are not good as the college is far from the town.
Faculty: Teachers in our department are very qualified, good, friendly, and helpful. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Lab exams and semester exams are very difficult. The pass percentage is 40%. Teachers clear students' doubts. Semester exams are very difficult.
Other: I chose this course so that I can work in the hardware and software sectors. Some lab faculty members need to be provided. Our college organises several fests. The scholarship is provided to every student. Our college published a technical magazine.

Placements: Above 80-90% of students from our course get placed. Top recruiting companies like Infosys, Byju's, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, L&T, Afcons, Shapoorji Pallonji, etc., visit our campus for placements. All students got an internship in various reputed companies and the public sector. It provides a good environment for studies.
Infrastructure: The total campus is under a free Wi-Fi zone. Labs are very good for any engineering practical. There are very clean and modern classrooms. The quality of food served is also healthy. The first-aid medical facilities are available here. Our college provides both indoor and outdoor games. The infrastructure of our college is promising.
