Rizvi College of Engineering has less teaching quality and equipment.
Placements: Approximately 50% of the students got placed. The highest salary offered might be Rs. 25,000 per month and the lowest salary offered would be Rs. 18,000 per month. Top recruiting companies of our college are Siemens, BHEL, Tata, etc. The4 top role offered is an electronics engineer. In our course, the highest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 1.8 LPA and the average salary package offered is 2.4 LPA. There was no internship programme at our college.
Infrastructure: The library is average with more than 1,000 books for every stream. Wi-Fi is available for every student in the library. Classrooms are average. The campus is compact with different streams in a single building, and it has a single canteen without any playground or any indoor games.
Faculty: Some teachers in our college are knowledgeable, qualified and have good teaching skills. Some are well-qualified, but they don't have any teaching skills. There is nothing like an optional subject as they would select a subject for you. They don't make students industry-ready, as there is a lack of equipment and practical knowledge.
Other: I have chosen the electronics course as I was very keen to learn how electronics work. But later in our college, they were just teaching only theory. Teachers are with less teaching skills, and they haven't taught anything. Teaching staff members should be improved, and management should impose their decision on students. They have not yet given back the caution money to any student.

Review of Rizvi College of Engineering.
Placements: Placements in our college are good. You can easily get placed in IT companies. But, it depends on your calibre. Companies always visit the college for recruitment. Students need to have good skills. Other activities are also conducted for the students to get placed. Core companies related to the electronics branch didn't visit our campus. But, students can get placed in IT companies.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are very good. Labs are good. The college is good for the people who are interested in cricket. The library is good, and you can get the books of the new edition. Students are allowed to play sports in their sports hour, and we enjoy it a lot. A hostel is also available. All the required things are easily available.
Faculty: Teachers are M.E or M.Tech qualified. Some of them are PhD holders. They are helpful and always be there to solve our doubts. Most of the teachers are good. But, there are some teachers whose knowledge and teaching style are not good. The student-faculty ratio is 8:1. An industrial visit is organised in January.
Other: The college has started organising a technical fest from the last year. It has Robowar and project exhibition. A cultural fest is also conducted. Scholarships are provided for engineering students.

If you are below average student and want a peaceful 4 years of engineering then only enter this col
Placements: Only two companies came out of which one of them took a single student for placement. Even seniors who are passed out where not placed. No good internship provided by the college. One of the companies which visited was zycus. Don't hope for placement if going for this college.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available just for showoffs as it does't work most of the time. Labs are really at the worst. Classrooms are decent for 3rd and 4th year students. Sports and Games are good during fest's. Canteen are good. Overall the infrastructure of the college is too old.
Faculty: Before 2011-2012 Faculty were good but in recent times many experienced and good teachers have left the college. Only few of the teachers are knowledgeable and rest are just teaching by reading text books. Teaching quality is really poor. There were no industry exposure.
Other: Fest is okay of this college. Campus crowed is decent and so is connectivity. Surroundings is the best part of the college as it is located near carter's. So no need to worry about hangouts. You will get the scholarship at ease.

Overall from a scale of 1 to 10, I would give this college 7 because of fees and the cutoff marks.
Placements: I am talking about electronics branch. The placement is not that good very few companies come here. This year from electronics branch only 1 student got placement so placement is not that good if your marks are very good then you could get the placement. The placements are good for computer branch. Many companies visited like Wipro, Tata, Larsen & Toubro
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The Wi-Fi is available, and there are 2 ACs per class, the library is also good you can get many books related to your studies, as it is an engineering college, there is no teacher for sports. They do not motive for sports, but there are football, cricket and basketball teams. The food quality is average. You will get food for very cheap cost, so overall the infrastructure is good.
Faculty: The faculty here is average, some teachers are highly qualified, and their teaching is good, but some teachers are very bad. Some teachers use the projectors to teach, so on an average 7 out 10 teachers are good in teaching, Some teachers are PhD holders, so the teaching staff is good.
Other: The best thing about this college is fees, and it is only Rs. 67000 per year, I would say the crowd here is not good. If you are a sports person, then don't join this college as sports facilities are not good, and there is no ground also as I am on the football team and I have experienced the difficulties. The teams are handled by senior and are not by any sirs, coming to studies you can get admission here easily as the cutoff is very low here.

A decent place but not amongst the best in Mumbai
Placements: The placements here are dull. There are hardly any companies that recruit from here, and definitely not as much as they show on their website. The situation, although improving, is still very poor in the case of placements.
The department of placements is just there in the college for the namesake and is good for nothing.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in the physical aspect is pretty decent, considering airy classrooms with air-conditioning in most of them.
The laboratories are inadequate in number. Multiple practicals are conducted in the same classroom. They have started to improve though.
Faculty: The teachers here are of poor quality in most cases. Leaving a few aside, most of them don't have adequate knowledge about what they teach. The curriculum followed here is as per the guidelines of the University of Mumbai. The teachers complete around 70-80 percent of the syllabus, which is the general norm in engineering colleges nowadays.
Other: The college has architecture, law, hotel management, tourism management, catering technology, etc. in the same building as engineering. As the cafeteria is common to all, one can mingle with a large number of people in the cafeteria. The cafeteria is one of the best and probably the largest in size in Mumbai. It is heaven for chicken lovers and a place to kill one's hunger. Vegetarians also have a lot of dishes to choose from and the food is at nominal prices.

Rizvi college, a sun about to rise.
Placements: Placement opportunities in this college are almost nil. This is understandable, given the low quality of education given and absence of enthusiasm on the side of students as well as the faculty. No one is interested in making projects or writing papers (instrumental in gaining technical knowledge). One or two companies still come to the college. Not the cream ones, of course. Tech Mahindra, for example, came in last year (2016 batch ) to hire students from ETRX, EXTC and comp branch.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty good considering the spacious classrooms and good ventilation. There are air conditioners installed in some classrooms. The labs are also pretty good (ignoring the lack of instruments in same cases). The seven storey building is quite good if you compare it with other colleges under the university of Mumbai. The location is also prime, considering its vicinity which boasts of carter road and bandstand. The canteen is the best in Mumbai (literally) with a capacity of more than 500 students at a time and reasonable prices. The quality of food is also quite good. The canteen is a delight for chicken lovers while being just as good for the vegetarian students. The college provides first aid and also has facilities to call the doctor in case of emergency.
Faculty: The faculty in some cases is quite underqualified. The mechanical department especially has a lot of professors who are not up to the mark. Overall, the teaching is quite okay. The professors are quite helpful in terms of doubt solving. You can pass with good grades even without classes if you pay attention during the lectures. After all, that's all that matters, right?
Other: The college is quite distant from Bandra railway station but that doesn't come in the way as it is walking distance from attractions like carter road, bandstand, Bandra fort etc. Also, you might spot some film stars while on your way to the college considering its location (Pali hill). The fees is quite low compared to other colleges (Rs. 70000). This comes as a boon to students with weak financial conditions. The canteen is combined for multiple courses like engineering, hotel management, tourism management, catering technology, architecture, law, etc. So you can mingle with a lot of people in the canteen, not to mention the best in their fields when architecture and hotel management are considered. With the recent turn of events, one can say that the young faculty is committed to improving the situation of the college.

Other: Studies: Labs and classrooms are well equipped, Faculty Members and HOD are supportive for studies. Faculty Members are average in teaching with some being the best teachers. Annual fees: I bet you will rarely get such a good college in such low fees. My annual fee was Rs. 58,780 only. Campus: Campus is not so big and College does not have its own playground but location of the College is awesome. It is near to the Carter road with peaceful and awesome view of ocean. You may find film stars during a road walk. Annual Event: college does conduct its Annual Cultural, Technical and Sports events during College fest called as "Rays". It is also good time to have fun. If you are sports enthusiastic then College have its own cricket, football and many sports teams. I just enjoyed studying here, it was one of the best four years of my life. Study and fun together.
