Placements: Dharmapuri district is where Sapthagiri College of Engineering is situated. This is a good college to study, and there is not much infrastructure and fun.
Placements: Many good companies visit our college like Wipro, Mahindra, Byju's, and much more. The placement is easier for other branches as compared to the core. But if you are good at your subject, then you are sure to get placed. If your percentage is less than 60, you may have to struggle a bit.
Infrastructure: The campus is compact but beautiful. There are different blocks. The facility of sports is provided over here. It also has a great amphitheatre. The classrooms are big and non-A/C. The buildings don't have lifts, so you get free exercise every day. There is no Wi-Fi and medical facility on the campus.
Faculty: This college is good for local people as the fee is less for them as compared to other state students. This college provides two courses, and they are B.E and M.E in different fields. The engineering rank of the college is good. The faculty members are well-educated and good.
Other: Many events are organised inside the college from fresher party to convocation. Sankalp, which is the college fest is held in March every year. The local people avail the scholarship.

Satisfied with the faculty, good placements in 2017, but disappointed with the management.
Placements: The placements are good compared to previous years. More reputed companies are approaching this college. Since CS and IS, branches have the maximum number of placements compared to other branches, just like other colleges. More reputed core companies cared to join hands with this college compared to previous years.
Students find it happy about the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure could have been more decent compared to other colleges since the building seems to be old and not up to the mark, lift in college would have helped the students more. I would personally rate the infrastructure with four-star out of five stars.
Faculty: The faculty in core branches are very well trained, like for mechanical and electrical branches compared to other branches.
New faculty members are being sent to college to train students, I personally feel where the college is lacking. Suggested to have experienced teachers would help with more benefits of students.
Other: The fest celebrated is very good, but money won't be given from management at all. But, the crowd enjoys what they have with.

The college which runs like a school, and treats engineering students as brainless kids.
Placements: The placement in our college is not good for mechanical branch. There is a huge long list criteria to attend the placement, mainly the attendance discipline. Most companies that visit our college are from IT sector. A maximum of three to four companies come to our college for core mechanical department, and getting placement is not easy because of the cutoff. The placement cell only focuses on bright students.
Infrastructure: It has the infrastructure more of school type, than being a college type. The library is just of one floor, common for all the branches. The labs and its instruments have to be really checked and replaced. The classroom lacks ventilation and attending afternoon classes in summer is no less than a boiler chamber. Amphitheatre is only for the name sake. It is really small and if any function happens, it is just insufficient to gather all the students. Coming to the hostel, the rooms are just average and food quality is excellent during the time of admission and within span of one month, it’s just tolerable. To get Wi-Fi password, there is a long procedure, it is better to use our own data. The canteen is pathetic. I would say Indra canteen serves much better food than here.
Faculty: The college is running only because of the old faculty members and their support. The college comes under VTU curriculum. With time, the entire old faculty are slowly parting away with the college due to bad behavior of the management. Recruitment of new faculty is down grading the college ranking because they do not even give the average marks in internals to students just to satisfy their ego and prove in front of the brainless principal that they have successfully destroyed the future of many students. The principal is running a school in the name of the college. Coming to the studies, no outside world exposure is given here. We are only tortured for marks and attendance. If you attend college regularly, you are the best student according to the HOD. The mechanical HOD just does not know how to behave with the students, and always talks in an abusive manner and keeps threatening about the attendance. Daily one new rule is made by him.
Other: The college and its management are not here to educate the students and give them bright future. They are here just to make money. The college has the most number of year-back students who could not clear the exam just because they did not have an average in their particular subjects. Fest and other activities are just to satisfy the terms and conditions of the VTU.

The management is worst as they will not listen to you for anything.
Placements: If you have 60% and above aggregate till the 6th semester, then there are 80% chances of placement for the CSE, ISE and ECE branches. For mechanical, you should have some knowledge of C and good communication skills, then you are surely getting placed. Otherwise, for the mechanical students, you should wait for some core companies, which are very less. Many companies are coming for software like NTT Data, Reflection, Unisys, Wipro, Infosys, Amazon, IBM, Mphasis, Odessa Tech, Tech Mahindra and much more. Till now, for us, only these companies came: Saint-Gobain, Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts and Indian Navy.
The maximum package offered is 4.2 lakhs PA, the minimum is 1.8 lakhs PA, and the average package is 2.8 lakhs PA.
Thus, for placements, this college is good.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is there, but you have to register your IP address for that in the lab.
The computer labs are good, but the mechanical equipment are old and not calibrated.
The classroom is not that attractive and well-maintained, with old desks and paint.
The library is good, and one digital library is also available for the students. They can use the computers and internet surfing and downloading.
The medical facility is good because nearby, a medical college is available.
The sports and games are on a small scale, not maintained and nobody cares about this.
It is only a 3-acre campus with less space for playing.
The canteen is very small, and the hostel rooms are good but the food is not good.
Faculty: Some of the faculty members are good but many of them are just a waste.
Only some of them are well-qualified and that is why the college is going on, otherwise there is no existence for this college.
If you force them for industrial visits, then for the final or pre-final years, they will take you to the industries.
The college is only concerned about the theory classes, and once you enter the college, you are not allowed to go out of campus till the mid-break.
Other: The most important thing is that if you want to do extra-curricular activities with your studies, then it is not possible in this college.
If you have any extra talents, then this college will not give you the opportunity to practice that.
