Peaceful campus, good academics, supportive teachers, but placements need more improvement.
Placements: Placement opportunities at SBVR are improving but still have a long way to go. Around 60% of students manage to get placed. The highest package is around ₹4-5 LPA, with the average close to ₹3 LPA, and entry-level jobs starting at ₹1.8 LPA. Recruiters are mainly agri-input companies, SEED firms, fertilizer companies, and NGOs. Internships are common, with students getting exposure at KVKs, SEED companies, and farms. Typical job roles include field officer, sales/marketing, research trainee, and project assistant.
Infrastructure: The campus has functional classrooms, labs, Wi-Fi, and a good library. Hostel facilities are clean and simple. Mess food is average but manageable, and the canteen is limited. Medical help is available. Sports facilities exist, though they could definitely be upgraded with better equipment.
Faculty: Teachers here are qualified, approachable, and supportive. The curriculum is updated and relevant to agriculture, but there’s still more focus on theory than practical industry exposure. Exams are moderately tough, but most students clear them without much stress. The pass rate is usually above 85%.
Other: I chose agriculture here because I wanted to prepare for research and government careers. The best parts are supportive faculty, practical learning, and scholarships. Areas needing improvement are placements and stronger ties with the industry.

I chose agriculture to build a career in research.
Placements: Placements here are okay, but not very strong yet. Around 60–65% of students get placed. The highest packages can reach 45 LPA, the average is around 3 LPA, and entry-level roles start near 1.8 LPA. Recruiters include agri-input companies, SEED and fertilizer firms, and NGOs. Internships are available for most students, mainly with KVKs, SEED companies, and local agri-based organizations. Typical roles are field officer, sales/marketing executive, research trainee, and NGO project associate.
Infrastructure: The campus has good classrooms, Wi-Fi, labs, and a library. Hostels are clean and basic. Mess food is decent, and the canteen is simple. Medical facilities are available. Sports and games are offered, but the equipment and variety could be better, and the food quality should improve.
Faculty: Teachers are supportive, qualified, and approachable. The curriculum covers essential agriculture topics but leans more towards theory than industry exposure. Exams are moderately tough. Most students pass comfortably. The pass percentage is generally above 85%.
Other: Campus life is calm yet lively during cultural events and fests. Students are friendly, and the surroundings are peaceful, though connectivity could improve. Extracurriculars are available but limited.
