Good academics and practical exposure, campus life is calm, placements need strengthening.
Placements: Placements at SBVR are decent but not outstanding. About 60% of students get placed, with the highest package around 4-5 LPA, the average package is 3 LPA, and entry-level roles starting at 1.8 LPA. Recruiters include agri-input companies, SEED and fertilizer firms, and NGOs. Internships are available for most students, usually with KVKs, local farms, or agri-companies. Roles offered include field officer, sales/marketing executive, research trainee, and project associate.
Infrastructure: The campus has well-equipped classrooms, labs, Wi-Fi, and a library. Hostels are basic but clean, the mess food is okay, and the canteen is simple. Medical facilities are present. Sports and games are offered, though the variety and equipment could be improved.
Faculty: Teachers are supportive, knowledgeable, and approachable. The curriculum is relevant to agriculture but leans more towards theory than hands-on industry exposure. Exams are moderately difficult, and most students pass comfortably. The pass percentage is generally above 85%.
Other: I chose agriculture to pursue a career in research, farming, or government jobs. The best parts are practical exposure, helpful teachers, and scholarship opportunities. Improvements could be made in placements and stronger industry connections.
