It is okay college regarding value for money, and everything is pretty average.
Placements: Placements in our college are almost 90%. The highest salary package offered this year is 46 LPA, and the average salary package offered ranges from 4-5 LPA. The top companies that visited our campus for placements are Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Tech Mahindra, and many more new startups.
Infrastructure: Facilities in our college are really good. Wi-Fi is available 24x7 and speed is also not that bad. Labs are equipped with the latest technology computers. For different departments, they have different types of labs. It also has a 3-floor library which is also really good.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are PhD holders in the corresponding course that they are teaching. Some of them are not so good, but most of them are really supportive and have a great style of teaching their course. Exams are of medium difficulty level with a 60-70% pass rate.
Other: I chose this course because cloud computing was already in trend when I took admission. Things that could improve is giving lesser duration of classes.

The life at UPES and its infrastructure.
Placements: Hi, I'm a student of UPES B.Tech CSE and the placement and internships are good enough as a private university. They provide internships to everyone, but they have some criteria for it, like you should have above 7 or 8 CGPA and also no backlogs. The faculty is amazing at this university as well.
Infrastructure: There are not enough seats in the hostel compared to the students studying here. Also, the rooms in the hostel are too small for 3 sharing a room, and they have an attached bathroom for 2 rooms. The washrooms are single for each floor. The classrooms are too good, and the class washrooms are good. The food and food court are also good.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and well-qualified. They have a good amount of knowledge and they also motivate you to do hard work. They also put in hard work for the students. The exams are at a moderate level according to the syllabus. The library is also good and big.
Other: They have big and good quality food in the food court and 4 cafes on campus, including Domino's in the food court. The events are also amazing, and you will like them more if you have a good quality of friends.

Placement doesn't depend on CGPA. It depends on the skill you got and knowledge you acquired. Yes, you have to maintain a minimum CGPA that is 8 or 7.5. No company hire employees on the basis of CGPA now.

For b.tetc computer science, you should have keen interest in computer languages like C, Java, C+ etc. If you have intertest you can take this branch and further you can specialize in it by doing M.Tech or MBA IT
