Not satisfied with the college. It was good earlier when there were senior teachers.

Placements: The placement percentage is not so good. It is almost 45%. The highest salary package offered is 52 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA. Cred gave the highest salary package. Only 20% of students got internships. I am not aware of top roles, but most offered roles are either sales or web developer.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite poor. The Wi-Fi speed is below average. In labs, there are not enough systems. They are old. Almost every time, a few are not working. The library is good. The library management is bad and short-tempered. Hostels are very bad. Canteens are always close. The food in the mess is very poor.

Faculty: Faculty members are not good. They have no work ethics. They have a lot of knowledge but don't know how to convey it. It is resulting bad teaching. The curriculum is bad. There is no relation between industry and the course. The exam pattern changes every few semesters. Students fail exams.

DIT University - In a nutshell.

Placements: In our college, around 80% of students got jobs last year at on and off-campus companies. As far as I asked my seniors about it, the highest salary package offered is 58 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3.6 LPA. The average salary package offered is 8.2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Accenture, Yamaha Motors, Blinkit, Tekion, Palo Alto, Zomato, Adobe, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. There are Wi-Fi routers in almost every room of the hostel. The mess is quite large. There are grounds for sports like basketball, table tennis, football, cricket net, etc. There are indoor games like chess, table tennis, etc. Talking about labs, there are plenty of workshops for manufacturing. We have a graphic lab, auditoriums, and chemistry labs. They have all necessary elements.

Faculty: Faculty members of our college are so far the best in Dehradun. They are extremely cooperative. They help in studies and even when providing marks, they try to give students maximum marks in internals as well as in written examinations. They teach in such a manner that is easy to understand and provide us with notes which are very helpful in the exam season.

Other: I personally chose this course as I was fond of computers, software, etc. I was always curious about how things work on just a code. The best thing about my course is the curriculum. I wish the library could be better and should contain more varieties of books. There are plenty of events in our college including the famous Youthopia which happens every year for 3 days. It is followed by several small events.

For B.Tech CSE, having computer subject is not mandatory. But yes you must have Physics, Chemistry & Maths as necessary subjects with 60% aggregate in PCME & in overall 12th & 10th.
