Brief review about my college.
Placements: Currently, I am pursuing my Bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Information and Technology from this college. The placement record for my particular branch is great, and the highest package goes up to 1.2 CPA. Overall, you will have a great experience in this college as the college takes care of your placements and also provides you with internships.
Infrastructure: The college is excellent in terms of infrastructure, including the classrooms, libraries, and other resources that enhance the learning experience and student experience of getting into a great college.
Faculty: Faculty-to-student ratio is absolutely fine, and the relationship between faculty members is always very nice and supportive. Whether it's a personal or college-level problem, faculty members are always there to help you, even beyond college hours. Semester exams are held within every five months. Also, these exams are not very tough, and the college provides you with study materials on your student ERP (portals through which you can check your attendance and other things).

Greatest campus life in Dehradun with top-class fests, decent placements, and supportive faculty.
Placements: In my course, approximately 855-90 percent of students got successfully placed through campus placements. The highest package offered is around 1.2 crores per annum off-campus, the lowest is approximately 3.5 LPA and the average package stood at around 6 LPA-7 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, Accenture, EY, Cognizant, Capgemini and Amazon (through off-campus drives as well). About 70-80 percent of students secured internships in reputed companies such as TCS, EY, Deloitte, Google (off-campus), HCL, and various startups. The top roles offered are software developer, data analyst, business analyst, web developer, QA engineer and consultant depending on the student's skillset and area of interest.
Infrastructure: The department offers smart classrooms, well-equipped labs, high-speed Wi-Fi and both physical and e-library access, all maintained at an A+ level. The hostels are clean and well-maintained with 24/7 Wi-Fi and basic amenities. Mess food is hygienic, and the canteen offers a good variety. There are on-campus medical facilities and excellent sports infrastructure for both indoor and outdoor games.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified, supportive, and have strong subject knowledge. The teaching quality is quite good with a mix of theory and practical learning. The curriculum is relevant and updated, helping students become industry-ready with essential skills. Semester exams are of moderate difficult, and with regular study, students can perform well. The overall pass percentage is high, typically above 85?90%. .
Other: I chose this course as it matches my career goals and offers an industry-relevant curriculum. Faculty is supportive, and teaching is strong. Labs can be improved a bit. Campus life is great. Fests are amazing, with artists like Diljit and King, Arijit Singh, and Neha Kakkar performing. The crowd is good, with decent connectivity, scholarships, and extracurricular activities.

Uttranchal University is good for engineering studies and it also provides placements. Every year many companies visit this college, basically for petroleum, mechanical, CS, etc. only but placements for civil are not as good as my friend detailed me.

Yes, you can take lateral entry in 2nd year, but it is more beneficial when all the subjects are same as in your present college. There might be a problem of adjusting with a new college and surroundings. The change can either be positive of negative. It is completely up to you as to how you manage
