The CSE life of Uttaranchal University.
Placements: The placement here is somewhat good for CSE students as compared to the other branches. The average salary that the students can extract from the companies is 4 LPA-5 LPA. The highest package is given to some selected students with better skills than the rest of their colleagues, and that is 30 LPA-40 LPA. The recruiting companies are TCS, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, etc. The roles that are offered are mostly as cybersecurity head, software developer, and all.
Infrastructure: The CSE department is very much impactful and efficient for students who want to pursue the software line. The infrastructure has a strong hold. Wireless network is available. Classrooms are well-spaced. The library is huge and sufficient. The facilities of the hostel and the quality of food in it are very satisfactory.
Faculty: The teachers of my department are very helpful in academics and also very friendly outside the campus. The course curriculum is relevant with subjects of DBMS, OS, FCCT, etc. The students become very much industry-ready. The semester exams are mostly theory-based and are easy for those who have an interest in studies.

I am satisfied with the faculty. It has good placements, the best infrastructure, and facilities.
Placements: The college offers 100% placements. The highest package is 1.5 crores per annum. The average package ranges from 6-7 LPA. The lowest package is 3.75 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are Microsoft and Google. All students get internships according to their hard work. Our college provides maximum knowledge to students.
Infrastructure: Our B.Tech CSE department has computer labs on each floor, personal Wi-Fi for everyone, and big classrooms. The quality of food provided in the hostel is very good. There are medical facilities, like a hospital, in the college. It also focuses on games.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful. They are the best in their professions. Anyone can individually connect to them. They are always available. Semester exams are quite hard because they prepare students for the future. The pass percentage is excellent.
Other: There are so many opportunities in this course, so I chose it. I wish to improve my coding speed. Events are organised regularly, and anyone can participate in them.

Average college with average placements, will say decent private college.
Placements: The average number of students placed in my course. They say the highest package was 1 crore something, but it was from outside. The lowest is really low, like 3-4 LPA. The average is not fixed because getting placed in college itself is tough. Students get internships, although most of them are paid and partnered with the college.
Infrastructure: According to my classmates, the hostel and mess food are good, especially for the boys, but the girls' hostel is not good. There is no unity there, and food quality has degraded. Better to avoid the girls' hostel. Various facilities are provided by the campus, including Wi-Fi, gym, sports club, cafeteria, and medical facilities.
Faculty: The faculty is good and knowledgeable; some of them are decent. Overall, the teaching quality is good. Most of them have M.Sc. and PhDs, and are pursuing PhDs. The course curriculum is relevant according to 2025, and more new subjects will be added (heard from teachers). Students become industry-ready as long as they are willing to do it. Semester exams are moderately difficult as they should be, although the pass percentage varies according to years and semesters. In the first semester, it was quite low.
Other: B.Tech in Computer Science is an emerging course with lots of opportunities in the near future. There are various fields to choose from here. Many events are organized throughout the year. They are of different types, including technical, non-technical, awareness, seminars, international conferences, etc.

It is excellent as it helps us achieve our dreams.
Placements: Students are placed in various companies such as Wipro, Deloitte, HCL, Tech Mahindra, TCS, and many more. The highest package is 1.24 crores, the lowest package is 2.4 LPA, and the average package is 4 LPA. About 55% of students get internships at companies like Codetech and Wipro. The top roles offered in my course are web developer, app developer, and cybersecurity.
Infrastructure: All facilities are available in classrooms and laboratories, including lab assistants, good Wi-Fi, and a neat and clean environment. The campus is very clean. In the hostel, all basic facilities are provided, such as a table, an almirah, a shoe rack, a chair, a fan, a water cooler, and a geyser. The food quality in the mess is good, but sometimes it is not that good. Medical facilities are available 24/7 as there is a hospital on the campus. Sports are held 2–3 times a year.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and supportive. Their way of teaching is good and very friendly. The course curriculum is very relevant and helps students face problems in their domain. Semester exams are not very difficult and are of a moderate level. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose this course because I want to build my career in the IT sector and prepare for the SSB Tech entry. There are many events held on campus. It includes Tech Fest, Diwali Fest, Management Fest, and the main annual fest.

Placements: The college has many positive reviews regarding placements. The college provides a good balance between academics and extracurricular activities. It also focuses on group discussions. Many other sessions that helps during placements. Regular workshops are also conducted by guest faculty members.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is properly made with well-maintained classrooms having proper ventilation. The classroom size is around 80 students. Hostel facilities are decent, with rooms having furniture. There is proper security with an allotted warden for each hostel.
Faculty: Most professors in our college are very knowledgeable. They are easily approachable. You need not hesitate to ask them about any issues. They guide you during your academics. They also provide advice on your career choices after you complete your PG courses.

For B.Tech, it is the best preference.
Placements: The placement report of the college is very positive, but from your side, you also have to do a lot of hard work and practice many more interviews and group discussions together, and there is a good package in this college. The average package from this college is around six Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and the department buildings are very good and spacious. The college also has many built-in facilities, such as a library for each course, Wi-Fi, which is available all the time. In addition to this, the college also has its own temple. The seniors of the college are also very helpful and nice.
Faculty: The courses offered in the college are B.Tech in various specialisation fields, then BCA, M.Tech, MBA, and LAW. The examinations are also held on time at a gap of every four months, and each month college conducts many classroom tests, which are added to internal marking.

Greatest campus life in Dehradun with top-class fests, decent placements, and supportive faculty.
Placements: In my course, approximately 855-90 percent of students got successfully placed through campus placements. The highest package offered is around 1.2 crores per annum off-campus, the lowest is approximately 3.5 LPA and the average package stood at around 6 LPA-7 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, Accenture, EY, Cognizant, Capgemini and Amazon (through off-campus drives as well). About 70-80 percent of students secured internships in reputed companies such as TCS, EY, Deloitte, Google (off-campus), HCL, and various startups. The top roles offered are software developer, data analyst, business analyst, web developer, QA engineer and consultant depending on the student's skillset and area of interest.
Infrastructure: The department offers smart classrooms, well-equipped labs, high-speed Wi-Fi and both physical and e-library access, all maintained at an A+ level. The hostels are clean and well-maintained with 24/7 Wi-Fi and basic amenities. Mess food is hygienic, and the canteen offers a good variety. There are on-campus medical facilities and excellent sports infrastructure for both indoor and outdoor games.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified, supportive, and have strong subject knowledge. The teaching quality is quite good with a mix of theory and practical learning. The curriculum is relevant and updated, helping students become industry-ready with essential skills. Semester exams are of moderate difficult, and with regular study, students can perform well. The overall pass percentage is high, typically above 85?90%. .
Other: I chose this course as it matches my career goals and offers an industry-relevant curriculum. Faculty is supportive, and teaching is strong. Labs can be improved a bit. Campus life is great. Fests are amazing, with artists like Diljit and King, Arijit Singh, and Neha Kakkar performing. The crowd is good, with decent connectivity, scholarships, and extracurricular activities.

Decent infrastructure and campus.
Placements: Uttranchal University Dehradun gives very good placements to all the students. Over 2500 students from our batch have been placed in big companies like Amazon, TCS, etc. The highest package offered to them is 1.5 crore per annum and the minimum is 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: The hostels are very clean, with great infrastructure of rooms and a great infrastructure of college, and the hostels are within the campus, so it is easy for all the students to reach the department easily. Also, the wardens and hostel staff are very supportive.
Faculty: All the teachers are very well educated. The knowledge they give us is very up-to-date. Professors are very helpful too, they always help us in our semester examination and never step back in helping us. The course curriculum is very good, things are very well managed, and each subject is managed according to each semester. Professors don't run the course they analyze every student and maintain their speed accordingly.

Uttranchal University is good for engineering studies and it also provides placements. Every year many companies visit this college, basically for petroleum, mechanical, CS, etc. only but placements for civil are not as good as my friend detailed me.

Yes, you can take lateral entry in 2nd year, but it is more beneficial when all the subjects are same as in your present college. There might be a problem of adjusting with a new college and surroundings. The change can either be positive of negative. It is completely up to you as to how you manage
