It offers good placement opportunities at a reasonable fee.
Placements: Approximately 90% of our seniors got good placements, with the highest salary package of 60 LPA. The mechanical branch got approximately 70% placements. The IT department got the best placements as usual, but you do not need to worry about the campus placements even if you are in other branches.
Infrastructure: Labs and materials are very good here. Be it the library, Wi-Fi, or the canteen food, you will not be disappointed. The hostel is quite neat and clean. You can adjust there. You can roam freely around the campus as there are no restrictions, which is very good.
Faculty: Teachers are very supportive and very helpful. They clear your doubts. Exams are organised well. Teachers help you to improve your grades. The classes are also student-oriented, so they do more than just complete the syllabus quickly. They make sure that the maximum number of students get to know what has been taught.

Review of Seemanta Engineering College.
Placements: Placements are not so good in our college. They don't call a lot of companies for placements and for internships. Not even 50% of students got placed in mechanical engineering. I don't recall a single student who had an internship. The college faculty did call 1-2 companies but they didn't offer a decent money for a bachelor's degree student.
Infrastructure: The classroom and college infrastructure is very good. We do have a good lab for practical work. The college is clean and hygienic. The hostel is also very good. The only thing that lacks here is that we don't have a digital class yet. Everything else is nice and good. The library is good too.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are well qualified, very helpful, and knowledgeable. They teach us in a proper manner. They help us in our curriculum. They give us proper practical knowledge. They make us industry-ready. Our professors are master's degree holders. The semester exams are hard and the pass percentage is about 90-92%.
Other: I choose this course because I had pursued a diploma in tool and die making before and further wanted to continue in this area. We also get scholarships that help us with our fees.

Review of Seemanta Engineering College.
Placements: I am Shyamal Nayak, and I am a 3rd-year student of mechanical engineering at Seemanta Engineering College. In our college, more than 3,000 students are doing their engineering. Above 75% of the students got placed in reputed companies like Tata Motors, Mahindra and Mahindra, Bajaj Motors, Honda 4 wheeler, etc. In the previous year, our college provided academically top students with the highest salary package of around 6 LPA-8 LPA and the average salary package of around 3 LPA-4 LPA. Our college tries to give placements to all students, which is a great opportunity for us.
Infrastructure: Our department is very good. Classrooms are very comfortable and cleaned. There is a free Wi-Fi facility, and projectors are available in our classrooms. Seemanta Engineering College has a good hostel facility. There are two hostels, i.e., one boys' hostel and one girls' hostel. The hostel provides us good food three times per day such as breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hostel fee and mess fee are average. Our hostel is very clean, and workers clean it every day. The hostel has a huge playground, badminton court and indoor games facilities. The hostel has its own medical team and two ambulances for students in an emergency.
Faculty: In our college, faculty members are very good. There is a total of more than 250 faculty members in our college, and they are very qualified. Most of them are from IITs, and their teaching techniques are very advanced. They make students industry-ready. The department teachers are very helpful. They always help us, encourage us and motivate us.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because I loved machines, and I have a passion for them. Through the help of our department teachers, I am good in my field.

Satisfied with faculty members, studies, infrastructure etc. Dissatisfied with placements in 2017.
Placements: I was sent to a pool campus drive by our college and was selected for JBM, Chennai. I got an offer letter and wait for the final call. But there was no call from JBM. Then the organiser of pool campus drive send me to a vendor company of Hero motors, Gurugram as a GAT. Other branches of my batch didn't get a taste of campus drive.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not so huge one. But it provided us good classrooms. Labs provided us best opportunities to practice and research. There are too much learning opportunities in labs and workshops. Mechanical engineering workshop was probably the best and big one including all type of welding instruments, lathe machines, furnace, hydraulics etc. Jio Wi-Fi is provided to the whole campus. Central library contains thousands of books, old question papers, magazines, news papers etc. It has a huge playground where all kind of sports and games extra curricular activities were conducted to motivate students. Canteen facilities were not upto mark but not the worst. It has one canteen, one coffee shop and some outside stalls. A doctor is appointed in case of emergency along with an ambulance.
Faculty: As courses were decided by university there is always rush in colleges to complete the syllabus. Unfortunately we had the best faculty members in mechanical engineering. Highly educated, experienced and friendly mannered lectures were provided to us. After all everything is depends on your attitude how much you are interested to gain. They are always ready to help.
Other: Each and every year fest, talent hunt, sports are conducted to motivate students, to think different, to learn management and manymore. Some certain pupils were provided scholarships according to their ranks and quotas. During my time I found some best seniors. Except campus placements each and every thing is probably the best.

Seemanta Engineering College.
Placements: I got placement from a small industry in Chennai. I was offered 1.2 LPA package, with two times food and accommodation. When I went there, I found that I will be working with Diploma and undergraduate students. So I left the job. The company was an MNC, but not that good.
Infrastructure: There is the best infrastructure, superb workshop with 6-7 lathe machine, shape and other machines. There are separate workshops for all the semesters. Furnace and all are available for casting. I have done the project on casting there only. There are supportive lab assistants who help during the practicals.
Faculty: Seemanta has the best faculty for mechanical branch. Maximum faculty have a masters degree. Cooperative and helpful faculty are there, always ready to help students. HOD of the mechanical department is one the best faculty of eastern Odisha. No one can beat him for his talent.
Other: The events are regularly organised. There is a special scholarship for ST/SC students.

If I have to review this college in all departments, then I will say good but not the best.
Placements: The placement rate is very low in our college. In our batch, the college has not provided a single campus placement to attend, but our seniors got some opportunities at their time which also offered them very low salary package. In one word, if I have to rate my college placement, then I would give 2 out of 10.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not very high rated, but it gives all the facilities and a good environment for study and to learn lots of things. Also, they provide cultural programs, talent hunt, sports and personal development classes for students to improve their personality, and to motivate them to do well in future.
Faculty: We have very good qualified and also experienced teaching staff. They are helpful and also guide the students in the right way. Also, they make very strong bonds with the student which will help them to build their careers. Our college also provides us summer training on our college campus and also an industrial visit which makes a major impact in the practical knowledge of a student.
Other: The college also provided scholarships to the highly ranked students as the state government provided a scholarship to the college. To maintain a positive campus, the college organises lots of events including the annual fest which also called Synapse.

Other: This is a good college with very bad faculty and very bad communication. This college doesn't have an environment which is actually required for an engineering college. Infrastructure:- It is situated 35 kms and 5kms far away from Baripada and B.Chhak respectively. There is no good communication when you need it urgently. College is way behind than other colleges in terms of campus and every single matter. For example, it has no garden or park where you can read or do a time-pass. There isn't a free Wi-Fi facility which is common now a days. Faculty:- This college has such bad faculty that you couldn't even imagine it. Some lectures doesn't provide sufficient knowledge even about primary education. 80% of the faculty members are relatives of each other starting from librarian to principal. Placement:- First of all, I strictly warn those students who want to get placement through this college because there are hardly 2 to 3 companies coming in a year.

Other: It is a good college to direct your career. The infrastructure, lab facilities especially for mechanical and civil branches is quite good and improved a lot till date. Good initiatives has been taken to improve placements and communication skill. Simultaneously, special training classes organized time to time related to latest technology.at the same time, this college is also good from economic point of view. I can conclude this college above average
