Placements: Before talking about placements in any college, students must maintain at least of 60% of the average grade from 10th to degree. The companies like Intel, TCS, KPIT, Oracle, Samsung Rnd, Minecraft etc. visit https://sdmcet.ac.in/placements/ for more details. Good and early training is provided for students. The students are subjected to online placement activities like pool campus, campus drive from VTU Belgavan. The placement activities from Masters degree batch is 70% and rest in teaching fields. The bachelor's degree is 85%, and rest of them move on to higher education and startup activities. The last year 2016-2017 batch highest salary offered was 14 LPA and least was 2.25 LPA, avg salary package is 3 LPA.

Infrastructure: They have built amazing infrastructure, 24x7 Wi-Fi facility on the campus. The sports room is well furnished with sports equipment. The ground is spacious enough, for all kind of university-level games. The facilities like labs and the library are available with the good number of systems and books. The food facility in hostel mess is best, in and around Dharwad districts. The college has a canteen, cafeteria, and bakery on the campus as well. The hostel rooms are spacious enough for students, separately for boys and girls. Also stay rooms for parents in the alumni blocks. The medical facilities here are really good, and the medical card is also provided to each student for SDM hospital with an exemption of 0% amount from the medical bill. Vehicle facilities are available for all medical emergency. Overall services, spacious room for learning, staying is available. Gym facilities are also available on the campus.

Faculty: The curriculum will be up to date with industry exposure. The faculties are easily approachable, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching methods like using a blackboard, presentation modes, online learning, etc. are available mentoring for student batches via allocated students. Industrial exposure through workshops, talks, and practical work imposed on students.

Other: According to current 2017 year survey, SDMCET is among the top 10 colleges in Karnataka. The transportation facility is available time to time. Other modes of transportation are also available. There is an availability of startup activities, inside SDM campus, incubation centre at the mechanical department is open to all branches.

Other: In this college civil dept. is nice and the faculty is up to the mark. College provides good laboratory facilities. Campus is nice and hostels are really great. Rooms are highly furnished and insignia is annual cultural program that is the great program I have ever seen and the duration of this program is three days.

Other: Since its establishment 25 years back, it has had its ups and downs but now, it is having the much needed development in all aspects. Placements is one its drawbacks. Certain branches are good and certain are bad. For an average student, I would recommend this college to pursue engineering. Thank you.
