SGGS College - honest review.
Placements: I'm a 2024 pass-out student from Information Technology. Around 70% of students were placed from my course. The highest package offered was 10 LPA, and the lowest was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies were TCS, Wipro, Persistent, Sarvaha Systems, and Steepgraph Systems. There were also some opportunities for students planning to go into the management sector.
Infrastructure: The college campus is around 40 acres and has well-developed infrastructure. All the labs are up-to-date and well-equipped. All classrooms are smart classrooms and well-ventilated. The hostel facilities are also good, and the mess is handled by students, so the quality is decent, and the fees are also reasonable.
Faculty: All the faculty members have sound knowledge and experience in their subjects. Teachers are very friendly and cooperative. The course curriculum is very well designed and up-to-date with market requirements. The semester exams are manageable if you study properly and attend lectures regularly.
Other: This is a government-aided autonomous institute, and the college fests are crazy!

Review of SGGS Nanded :).
Placements: Fifty to seventy percent get placement with 5/6 LPA, which is good for tier 2/3 colleges. The highest package is nearly 63 LPA off-campus, and the lowest is 2.4 LPA. The major recruiting company is TCS. However, this year, there is less placement in IT companies. There are no major placements in PG.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good and completed with Wi-Fi services on campus. The hostels are good, especially the boys' hostel. Good sports facilities are available on campus. The quality of the mess is okay or, let's say, good. There are a total of four canteens present on campus, and medical facilities are available on campus.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful, and some are rude, but ultimately, they are good teachers. Most teachers hold Ph.D. degrees, which is a good thing. The course curriculum is relevant to the industry; the syllabus changes every 3 to 4 years. The level of semester exams is good, or let's say, a little bit difficult :).
Other: SGGS is one of the top colleges in Maharashtra through the MHT CET, and the previous placement of our college is good. That's why I chose this college. There are four major events, i.e., Pragyaa, Utsav, Zenith, and Armageddon. The college is outside the city, about 4 to 5 km away. There are good sports facilities in the college, like hockey, cricket grounds, and many things to explore.

The college has really good infrastructure and good placements.
Placements: This year, the placements in our college are good compared to the past years. The placement ratio is increasing every year. The highest package offered on campus was around 8-9 LPA. Due to good study culture, many people are eligible to crack off-campus placements as well.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is really good. All the facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library are provided on campus. But there is only a problem with Wi-Fi. The speed is good, but if you want to use it, then you have to sit in the admin block because Wi-Fi only works in that building. The food quality in the girls' hostel is quite nice.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. The curriculum is similar to the GATE syllabus, so it's nice. Exams are good. It will be enough if you study for a week. My friends and I cleared exams by studying for a day before each subject.
Other: The college is value for money. Fests are good. But there are some restrictions.

The best college of Maharashtra SGGS Nanded.
Placements: The college has the very best placement offered among the rest of the government colleges in Maharashtra. It has a nice placement and training team. The placement team works mainly on how students develop themselves and also how they seek the best jobs. Also, they give many opportunities for off-campus placement with campus placement.
Infrastructure: The hostel building is soo good and the newly build hostel provides a lot of facilities. Infrastructure is also excellent providing all the facilities to grow and improve your skills. The hostel has a Wi-Fi facility, a water cooler, also many more. It offers the best mess food.
Faculty: The curriculum is designed as learning the best in course of B.Tech and also offers the required knowledge and also provides required technical knowledge. Exams are also taken indecent way and are based on a fixed amount of syllabus which is important to be learned.
Other: The college is very good, the faculty is excellent and also the knowledge provided in the curriculum is very excellent, the crowd is intelligent and also a very good competition among students.

It is a good campus with decent placements and good infrastructure and environment.
Placements: Placements in our college are decent. The average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is 11 LPA. Our college also encourages students to participate in many off-campus opportunities. The placement cell is working continuously for placements.
Infrastructure: The campus is very good like an IIT and NIT. They have a huge campus with a lot of greenery on it. Buildings are also quite good, and they are taken care of properly. The library of the college is good and spacious. It is comfortable for studies. They also have a huge ground and many sports facilities in the college.
Faculty: In the first year, it seems like wasting the year because they teach concepts that are not much useful. They teach basics initially and later the curriculum for 3 years is good. Students have to study by themselves in the first year.
Other: As it is a government-aided college, so the fee structure is quite good and very low in comparison to other colleges. The fee charged is Rs. 83,000, and for OBC it is Rs. 43,000. I think that's quite low when compare to other colleges. There are a lot of events sports, technical, social and many other events.

Good Infrastructure and facilities. Poor placements for core branches.
Placements: Placements are average not. Training and placement officer needs to put more efforts in the placements. Mass recruiter TCS recruits most of the candidates so the placements are average in terms of the number of students placed. Overall the teaching is good and faculty members are highly educated.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and hostel are one of the best things about this college since it is a government funded college there is a lot of facilities available with new hostel and badminton court all recreational activities are also taken care of. Regular maintenance of the hostel and college is always done.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly educated. Most of the faculty members are double Ph.D. holders and due to the centre of excellence, there are many researchers who provides valuable insights in education.

Really good infrastructure, disciplined, satisfied for academic but poor placement.
Placements: My department has a placement of nearly about 30-40%. Maximum people get placement from off-campus. The highest salary until I know is INR 17 LPA, which was given by Amazon by the off-campus process. We have nearly an INR 3-4 LPA average package. Currently, IBM and TCS are leading recruitment companies, but they are also decided to conduct All India exams, which will reduce our campus placement. Students have an alternative for an internship as a project in the final year. Nearly, 10% try for internships on their own.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided by IT departments are too good. We have 4 labs for different domains of technology. We have a common central library for essential and reference books. Wi-fi is provided everywhere except in classrooms. Labs are highly equipped with powerful processes with a strong Internet speed (nearly 50 MBPS). College hostel is nice except for the hostel of first-year students. Food in mess is below expectations and the canteen meets expectations. Medical facilities are good enough with a doctor there. Games and sports are encouraged by the college with a highly equipped gym.
Faculty: For my course, faculty members are very supportive. They are qualified and knowledgeable. Temporary faculty is much less experienced, but they are more helpful to us for educational purposes more than permanent faculty. Course curriculum changes after 1-2 years to make students industry-ready.
Other: I have an interest in current technology and cybersecurity, so I took this course. AI, Data Structure, Computer Networking are some of the interesting topics. I would wish to make the temporary faculty permanent, as they are too helpful to us and they know what is our problem and how to fix it. For extracurricular activities, we have different clubs like Bhaskaracharya maths club, fatal string dance club, Gandharva drama club, Avaroh music club and much more.

Average placements, best infrastructure and facilities, poor exposure due to crowd.
Placements: About 20 to 30 students get placed in companies like TCS, Cognizant, TCS Ninja from IT, CSE, Electronics department. The best placements and also Internships are available to the Instrumentation students with Multinational Companies such as Emerson, Thermax, Endress+ Hauser, etc. Through the TPO, while the other department students have to find internships on their own.
Infrastructure: The department infrastructure is simply great! There are water coolers and restrooms on every floor in every building in the campus. The campus is kept quite clean and there's plenty of greenery everywhere. The hostels and mess are in the campus itself which is very convenient for the students. It's mandatory that every girl that applies for hostel facilities gets an accommodation. There are 3 canteens in the campus and a Girls Mess and a Boys Mess. There is a dispensary if any medical help is needed. The college has a very huge playground that is maintained throughout the year with basketball court with enough space to play cricket and football at a time.
Faculty: Most lecturers of my department were quite knowledgeable and helpful. The teaching quality is good too. There is a lot of young staff so the teacher-students relationship is a lot of friend-like. The only drawback about the teaching is the syllabus. Though being an autonomous college, the curriculum is not updated regularly and most of the subjects in it are not that useful in current industry. The only modification required in this institute is the changed and updated syllabus. There's an innovation lab in IT department for the first year students since 2018 where they build innovative projects.
Other: I chose Information Technology as I had interest in coding. The best thing in IT, SGGS is that it has a good teaching staff. It would be better if we had an updated syllabus. Talking about the events in SGGS, used to be famous in Vidharbha and Marathwada 5 to 6 years ago and used to get a large number of participants, but not any more due to some funding issues. The campus is great! We have all facilities at it's best. Library, labs, hostels, everything is in the campus itself.
