SRMCEM BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025
SRMCEM BTech is a four-year undergraduate course, divided into eight semesters, and offered in full-time mode. The college offers BTech courses with the affiliation of AKTU. Check out the eligibility requirements to get SRMCEM BTech admissions.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must complete their Class 12 with PCM subjects with an aggregate of 45% (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category), followed by a UPTAC counselling. For BTech in CSE and other sub-specialisations of CSE, the subject requirements are Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ Computer Science.
Selection Process: The college accepts relevant scores of CUET UG/ JEE Mains for admission to BTech at SRMCEM Lucknow.
SRMCEM BTech courses are available in several specialisations, such as Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, BTech in CSE Cyber Security, BTech in CSE Data Science, etc. The college also offered Lateral Entry admission to some of the offered BTech specialsiations. The eligibility requirement for BTech LE courses is:
Eligibility Criteria for BTech LE: Candidates can directly register for the second year of the BTech course during the counselling process. Candidates must complete their Class 12 with Mathematics as a subject and must have a two-to three-year diploma in a relevant field/ BSc with at least an aggregate of 45% (40% for reserved categories)/ D.Voc stream in the same or allied sector recognised by BTEUP. Some of the offered LE courses are BTech in CSE LE, BTech in Electrical Engineering LE, etc.

SRMCEM BTech Admission 2025: How to Apply?
SRMCEM BTech course admission is entrance-based. The college accepts the relevant scores of JEE Mains/ CUET UG, followed by counselling/ UPTAC counselling. The selection method by the college includes shortlisting candidates depending on their performance in respective entrance exams, and a further admission process. To apply for SRMCEM Lucknow admissions, applicants are required to visit the official college website and navigate to the 'Admissions' or 'Apply Now' section. Step 1: SRMCEM BTech Application Process 2025
Before applying for the BTech course, applicants must ensure that they are completing the basic eligibility requirement according to the chosen specialisation.
Step 1.1: Visit the official website of SRMCEM Lucknow and click on 'Admission 2025'.
Step 1.2: Create an account using your email ID and contact number.
Step 1.3: Select the desired programme and click on 'Apply Now'.
Step 1.4: Enter personal details such as name, parents' names, nationality, permanent address, etc.
Step 1.5: Mention the academic qualification in ascending order
Step 1.6: Pay the SRMCEM BTech application fee.
Step 2: Selection Process
The college shortlists the candidates according to their scores achieved in either of the entrance exams from CUET UG/ JEE Mains. Candidates who have registered for the BTech course through JEE Mains. The college prepares the merit list according to the achieved scores, and further conducts a counselling process through the college. Step 3: Counselling Process
Candidates who got shortlisted according to the scores achieved in their JEE Mains entrance exam are required to go through a UPTAC counselling process. The college is affiliated with AKTU and follows the counselling procedure according to the affiliating college. Eligible candidates must register for their preferred programme. Moreover, document verification is required for candidates selected by UPTAC to be accepted and admitted to the Institute.
Note: The vacant seat in BTech course after counselling for lateral entry shall be filled within 15 days of the last date of counselling at institute level.
Step 4: Release of Cutoff
The cutoff ranks/ scores for BTech courses are released by the respective college. The shortlisted candidates are then required to pay the admission fee and complete document verification to confirm their seats and complete the BTech admission process at SRMCEM.
