Good infrastructure but not enough for students doing engineering.
Placements: We have just passed the 1st year now, but the placement rate is average in Silicon, to be honest. The highest package is 37 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, etc. Many students from the college got good internships, like in local companies as well as in Amazon and Flipkart.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is given in labs and classrooms but not in hostels. Library and lawn everywhere Wi-Fi is there. AC classrooms are there with Wi-Fi. All amenities are given in the hostel but not the Wi-Fi. Students are facing many problems due to this only. Study hour is maintained inside the campus, for which, from 6 to 9, no student is allowed to roam outside.
Faculty: Teachers are very good, cooperative, and understanding. Internships as well as courses are making us industry-ready. Questions really are not that hard but not easy, like it's a good question set. Questions are not really tough for students who actually study, but for those who don't, actually.
Other: The CSE branch of Silicon is famous for its placement and package, so I chose it. It would be better if Wi-Fi were given to hostels because students have to move to either the library or the lawn to access it. Connectivity between students is good, and the seniors are helpful.

Great campus, average faculty.
Placements: Nearly 74–80% of eligible ECE students get successfully placed through campus recruitment. Approximately 19% of students secure core engineering roles. The highest CTC is 32.5–33 LPA, the lowest CTC is around 3.25–4 LPA, and the average CTC is approximately 5–6 LPA. Recruiting companies include TCS, Accenture, Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, IBM, PwC, Deloitte, Mindtree, Micron, Mentor Graphics, LTTS, Adani Group, Tata Power, SAP Labs, Vodafone Idea, etc. Around 80–90% of students secure paid internships (Rs. 8,000–Rs. 60,000/month). Internships are available from IT firms and core companies through the Practice School programme. The roles include Software Developer/Engineer, Embedded Systems Engineer, Core/Electronics Engineer, QA Engineer, Business Analyst, and Assistant Engineer.
Infrastructure: The ECE department at Silicon is modern, spacious, and well-equipped. Labs include digital and analog labs, VLSI lab, IoT lab, microprocessor and embedded systems lab, and DSP lab. There is 24/7 Wi-Fi available in academic buildings and hostels. Classrooms are smart, with projectors, whiteboards, and air conditioning in some blocks. The central library has thousands of books, journals (IEEE, Springer), and digital library access. The Innovation Hub supports startup and project incubation. Hostels have clean rooms (double/triple occupancy) furnished with beds, shelves, and study desks. Wi-Fi is available in the hostels with decent speed. The mess food is hygienic and offers a vegetarian menu. The food quality is from average to good depending on the block. The canteen is open late, serving snacks, tea, and fast food at affordable prices. There is also a good medical facility available.
Faculty: Faculty at Silicon University (Bhubaneswar campus) is known to be highly qualified, approachable, and student-friendly. Most professors hold M.Tech or PhDs from reputed institutes like NITs and IITs. Faculty members are supportive both inside and outside the classroom, especially during project work and placement preparation. The ECE course at Silicon University is aligned with industry demands. The curriculum includes modern subjects like IoT, VLSI, Embedded Systems, AI, Python, and Project-Based Learning (PBL). Regular industrial visits, internships, and tech fests like ZERONE help bridge the gap between academics and the industry. Semester exams are moderately difficult but not too hard if you study regularly.
Other: I chose B.Tech in ECE because I am passionate about both electronics and coding. This course offers a perfect blend of both. The best part is the balance between core electronics subjects and modern topics like IoT, VLSI, and Embedded Systems, supported by well-equipped labs and skilled faculty. However, more exposure to core industry projects and internships would improve practical skills. The campus has a vibrant crowd, annual fests like Zerone and Sanskriti, and good hostel, sports, and library facilities. It is well-connected and peaceful. Scholarships are available based on merit, and extracurricular clubs make college life more dynamic.

Above average, according to the fee, not bad.
Placements: Good, to be honest, considering the college fees are around Rs.12 lakhs, which might have increased now that it's a university, it's still pretty good for a tier 3 private college. Most people get placed. Only those with backlogs or poor academics don't get placed.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are quite good for CSE students. We get AC rooms for CSE students from the 2nd to the 4th year, but ECE, EEE, and EIE students don't get AC rooms, as there are very few AC rooms in the ECE building. AC hostel rooms are good, with 24/7 electricity and water supply.
Faculty: This is the only part of the college that is actually good and not just above average, lol. Academics are taken quite seriously, exams are strict, and there is no chance of copying or cheating. Semester exams are a bit harder side compared to other B.Tech colleges in the locality, but it's good because we learn the core subjects, which helps in future interviews.

Good infrastructure of hostels and classrooms, and clean surroundings.
Placements: 70 to 80% placement Package 8 Lack to 24 Lack per annum and many of the companies like wipro tata naada and may other companies you can attend the seminars ehich give you some brief information about the company and you will able to get the information what things you are going to face un future.
Infrastructure: The facilities are very good and you can enjoy a lot. Free Wi-Fi is also available, and you can gain a lot of knowledge. The library is also there, which is a very peaceful and silent place where you can read books, and there are many magazines, so you can learn a lot.
Faculty: 40% is the pass percentage, and papers are not much tougher. You can score with little effort; you can get handwritten notes from the seniors, and you can clarify your doubts, too. There are some optional subjects and some credit subjects. I prefer to focus more on credit subjects.
Other: Many events take place, and you can take part. There are also cash prizes available.

Strict about academics and good placement record.
Placements: 80% of students got placed last year. The average package was 5–6 LPA. After every semester, a summer internship is compulsory for every student. An aggregate of 8 CGPA is needed to sit for placements. The level of exams is moderate. Some top recruiters are TCS, Wipro, Accenture, etc.
Infrastructure: The campus is small, and the infrastructure is good according to the campus size. Hostel rooms are clean and spacious.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and very helpful and cooperative. The teaching quality is good. The mid-term is conducted before the end-term, which is of 20 marks. Then the end-term is conducted, which is 50 marks. There are 10 marks for attendance and 20 marks for teacher assessment, making a total of 100 marks.
Other: Two events (fests) are held throughout the year one is Zygon during February-March, and another is Rhythm Nova during November-December. Many seminars and club-related interactions are done. There are many engaging clubs. Many clubs are there, such as the Mera Academics Club, Switch Club, IEEE Club, Robotics Club, and Creative Club. Many activities are arranged for students on a daily basis.

A value for money, a return on investment, a strict, disciplined, and academically strong college.
Placements: 80-90% placement is available, but for those who score a good CGPA and have the necessary skills. You have to be extraordinary, and the average package also lies between 4-5 LPA. You need to excel in the curriculum and be active in classes to score a good GPA. There are faculty members to help you, so it's your choice.
Infrastructure: The campus is small, with limited facilities in a small area. The authorities are strict, with strict rules. There is less campus life, and not many events take place. On a small campus, you do not know what you will enjoy. There are very few events and a smaller crowd, which can be good and bad. There is less social exposure, as students from other colleges don’t visit often. Although the campus is lush green, it is clean.
Faculty: Academically, it is strict as well as strong. Exams are conducted in a disciplined manner, with proper examination halls and strict invigilation, so you can never cheat. Even paper checking is strict. In class, teachers can be a bit strict and rude at times, but you can still consult them.
