The college is well-organised and proficient.

Placements: Around 60% of the students got placed in different companies. The highest salary offered was Rs. 45,000 per month and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 20,000 per month and the average salary offered was Rs. 30,000 per month. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Accenture and Reliance. The top roles offered are a consultant. The highest salary package offered was 5.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Around 40% of the students got internships in TCS, Wipro and other companies.

Infrastructure: Our college is well-equipped with modern infrastructure. Facilities such as free Wi-Fi facility, air-conditioned classrooms, computer labs, science labs, library, etc., are available. There are emergency first-aid treatment facility, gym room, indoor games room, counselling cell, etc., on the campus.

Faculty: Our teachers were very helpful and caring towards us. They are highly qualified with a good academic background, and they taught us with immense care and proficiency. The course curriculum is relevant for students who want to pursue their career in consultancy services, media, printing and many fields. It makes the students ready to begin their career in different fields.

Don’t take admission there.

Placements: They do not provide any placement. As this is a government college, they cannot offer placements. So no companies come to our college.

Infrastructure: We have a Chemistry lab. I don’t know about other labs, and since I am from the English department, we don’t need any lab. The classrooms have no AC, and the fans don’t work properly in the scorching heat of May and June. The only AC access we have is in the library, but they usually turn it off during peak summer.

Faculty: Some of them are good and clear our doubts very well, while a few lack knowledge. No one can get a job except in BPO or telecalling roles. You have to do M.A., B.Ed., or other courses to get a job. Many students switch to an MBA after completing their bachelor's in English. They only take our money and fool us. The semester fees at this college are much higher than those of other CU-affiliated colleges.

A piece of information that would help juniors.

Placements: We only had a graduation degree, so there were no placements. But with the degree, we could apply in certain areas of the corporate sector. If one could crack the exam and interview, they would definitely get the job. There might have been other courses that provided placements, but our department didn't have any placement program.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure was average, and the hostel rooms were shared by 7-8 students. If you were studying in this college, it was suggested to stay in PGs or a mess. There was no place on the college premises to roam around during our free class periods.

Faculty: The English department had one of the best faculty members. The professors were helpful and very cooperative. They would guide you in cases of emergency and doubts regarding academics. We could interact with them without hesitation, but they were very particular about the assignments.

Other: The best thing about this course was that students got to learn from reputed professors, and there were certain things I would have liked this institution to adopt. They should have organized more seminars, and there should have been a cultural fest once a year.

I suggest that if you get a better college, then opt for it and don't join here.

Placements: Our college was not huge, and placements were almost nil. In our course, there were no placements and internship facilities. It is a moderate college under Calcutta University.

Infrastructure: There was no Wi-Fi facility in our college, and the campus was very small. Classrooms make you feel that you are in school again. The library was not very well equipped. I have no idea about medical facilities, but there was a gym on the campus. The condition of the hostel was also not very good. A canteen was available, and it served only 2-3 dishes.

Faculty: One good thing about this college is faculty members are good. They are qualified, helpful, and they complete the course on time. But all the teachers are not friendly. The course curriculum is provided by Calcutta University, and it is relevant for further studies.

Other: I opted for this course because English was always an interesting area for me. Now, I am a research scholar, but I could have taken admission in a better college for graduation than this college. The campus was not very friendly, and no significant events and fests were held.
