Review of SCT College of Engineering.
Placements: The percentage of students who got placed was very less last year. No top companies visited our college for the past few years. The placement percentage is decreasing year by year. It is also very hard to find an internship for students as college will not support them.
Infrastructure: Our college doesn't have a hostel on campus. Instead, students are accommodated in private hostels which are approved by the college which is also near to it. Our campus area is small as compared to other engineering colleges. But there are enough lab facilities, classrooms, and libraries for every department.
Faculty: Faculty members are very supportive and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is quite good compared to other government colleges. Course curriculum mainly focuses on theory. It would have been much better if it focuses practically. There are 2 series of exams before the semester exam. Series exams are much easier than semester exams.

A great institute for undergraduates.
Placements: Almost 70% of students get placed each year. I am not sure about the package details but it's pretty decent. Some students get a package of 6 LPA through placements. It's a motivating factor which drives the junior students to achieve more.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure provided by the college is top-notch. They keep improving the facilities according to the changing needs of students. Hostels provided are well-maintained and checked upon regularly. Canteens are clean. The food provided is of decent quality. The canteen service is satisfying.
Faculty: Teachers are extremely professional when it comes to the point of academics. The course structure is well-prepared, and it turns a student into a professional that's seeking a good opportunity. Semester exams are difficult enough for a normal engineering student.

The environment is good, while placements, infrastructure, and facilities are average.
Placements: About 70 percent of students get placed in our course. The highest package is around 10 LPA per annum, the lowest is around 2 LPA per annum, and the average is around 5 LPA per annum. The top recruiting companies are Carestack, Allianz, Tata Elxsi, UST, and InApp. Almost 80% to 90% of students get internship opportunities in this course. The top roles offered are Data Analyst, Machine Learning Engineer, Software Developer, Mobile App Developer, and System Analyst.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are average, and the college does not have a big campus. However, it is not too bad, as you can use the available facilities to learn and explore. There is no proper hostel inside the campus. Sports and games are good, with active student participation and many competitions. The college union organizes numerous cultural events. Technical events are also conducted by societies like IEEE, IEDC, and GDSC.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, and the quality of teaching is satisfactory. They follow the course curriculum of KTU. The semester exams are conducted according to KTU guidelines and under their control. Exams are easy to pass if you are well-prepared, as the questions usually follow the syllabus.

Good campus life and fest experience. Better placements and helpful faculty.
Placements: The AIML branch in SCT is not yet accredited. It is the only first batch which finished out. Only after passing out of 3 batches the accreditation will be given. Our branch has the highest placements in SCT among other branches. The salary package offered by some top companies to students in our college is 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: As of now, we don't have a college hostel. It is in progress. In the case of courses and classrooms, we have very good rooms with sufficient space. A Wi-Fi connection is provided by the college in and outside the library and on the campus. The canteen provides well-nourishing food and drinks.
Faculty: Semester exams are conducted by KTU, and series exams by the college. It has high standards. It is the same as the KTU pattern. The pass percentage in our branch is 92% for 2024-S2, AIML (24-27). Teachers are brilliant. They are Ph.D. holders from much-known universities. Their assistance is so valuable that we learn many things from them.
Other: AIML is the most relevant course which we can study in this world. This is so important so that we get a better job. Extracurricular activities include an SSL football league, SBL badminton league, kho team, handball team, chess team, cricket team, volleyball team, basketball team, etc. We have the most popular fest among Trivandrum colleges, our cultural fest named Cult a Way, which is much awaited by students in Kerala.

Satisfied with college placements, campus life, etc.
Placements: 90 percent of students are placed in the college itself. Top recruiters like TCS, UST, Tata Elxsi, Infosys and many other companies visit here. The average salary package offered through placement is 5 lacs per annum. The highest package offered is 15 lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The college doesn't have its own hostel yet. Construction works on hostel is going on. The hostel will open within 3 to 4 years. Many PGs are available near the college. The Computer Science department has 2 classes as of now, one for CS and one for AI and ML. Our department has around 3 to 4 labs.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and have good knowledge. Teachers are hardworking, but very few of them are actually committed to the growth of students. AI has several potential career opportunities. It is a remarkable and intelligent decision to choose AI as a career path.
Other: I code in AI and ML because they offer a vast range of potential career opportunities. College life is great. The best part of college is the cultural fest, 'Cult a Way'.
