Aspirants must complete BE/BTech/AMIE degree in relevant specialisation passed with a minimum of 50% aggregate of all years of the degree examinations to apply for SJCE Mysore M.Tech programme. Besides, aspirants must pass Karnataka PGCET or GATE for admission to MTech.

Admission to BE/BTech programs is based on the COMEDK and KCET entrance exams. The cutoff criteria is based on a valid score in either KCET or Karnataka PGCET. For admission to a BE course at SJCE Mysore, aspirants must meet the minimum eligibility criteria. The selection further can be done based on the applicant's score in the KCET/COMEDK UGET exam. The seat allotment procedure is carried out mainly by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). For seat allotment, the cutoff list is released and candidates with a score equal to or better than the cutoff rank are granted admission. These students further have to report at the college for document verification and fee payment to confirm their seat.
