The focus on holistic education is one of the characteristics that make Sri Venkateswara College unique. In the College's opinion, education should be more than academic training; it also needs to focus on self-development and character building. To that end, the school offers a range of opportunities for students to participate in various activities and events such as service work or outreach. If you're are sports enthusiast then this college is definitely for you, from cricket to football, badminton, basketball, lawn tennis, table tennis it has everything you can think of. Not only sports but it does also consists of dance societies, music societies etc. Some teachers in the faculty also dedicate much time in equipping students with practical knowledge as well, creating a perfect balance between theoretical and practical knowledge. Let me get you with a better view on this point, one of our teachers in commerce faculty helped all of us connecting with some of her past students who were placed in good companies such as google, Delloite, KPMG such face-to-face interactions which also includes Q&A session is definitely a pool of knowledge for all current students. Q:   How is mess food at Sri Venkateswara College?
A:
I've never tasted the food in mess but according to some of my friends who used have access to Venky's mess said that, most of the time the food was good and hygienic but sometimes it may be annoying to eat same meal multiple times in a week. But I think that's how college life is you've to sacrifice your taste and comfort you used to get earlier in your home.

SVC will always have a very special place in my heart!
Placements: Ashok Leyland, Tata Power, PwC, and American Express are some of the recruiting names. Nearly 100 companies visit here for placements. The highest placement in the previous year was around 16 LPA. and it was a B.Com (Hons) student who got that. Overall, the placements at SVC are also amazing, and percentage-wise it is one of the best in Delhi University for placements.
Infrastructure: Our campus has both boys' and girls' hostels. The best part of the hostels is that both hostels are allotted purely on merit. There are around 4-5 blocks in all and also a spacious canteen. Our college campus also has a Maggi point. A much-needed medical room along with two spacious seminar halls and a sports room makes our college fully equipped.
Faculty: We have very cooperative teachers. Some students who have come from different fields like Science and have switched to Commerce are given extra classes and attention. My reason for choosing this course was simple, as accountancy and economics both are something which I wanted to learn after 10th, and our course teaches us both.
Other: Along with societies and clubs, many NGOs are also working in our college. Nexus is our annual fest, which is held mostly in February or March every year.

Amazing faculty and crowd, top-class societies, but infrastructure can be improved.
Placements: As per my course, B.Com (Hons.), 30-40% of students get placed. The highest placement is 22 LPA. The average is 6 LPA. Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG are the top recruiters of our college. 200 students got internships, including students from the B.Com programme. Top roles could be Assistant Research Analyst, Financial Analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: My college provides comfortable classrooms and an air-conditioned library. There is a well-maintained botanical garden for students. ICT labs are also well-maintained and air-conditioned. We have medical rooms and a sports arena. Hostels also have separate AC reading rooms for girls and boys. The canteen of our college is hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers are quite friendly and approachable. They use engaging teaching methods in the classroom. I think the curriculum is not up to modern-day skill requirements. But still, teacher support beyond the syllabus helps students in their careers. Semester exams are moderate.
Other: I chose Venky because of its corporate structure. SVC has many societies, and among them, two are international: 180 DC and IFSA. Our college organizes one of the best fests of DU, Nexus. But I think the infrastructure can be improved to bear Delhi weather. During the rainy season, water gets clogged in front of the gate, and it is quite difficult to sit without AC in the summer season.

My experience of SVC Delhi.
Placements: There is a placement cell in our college. They help students to train for jobs and Internships. Companies like Deloitte, PwC, and KPMG have come to offer job roles to students. They also post it on LinkedIn and other social media accounts. The average package is 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: There are two buildings in our college and 3 blocks. It has big classrooms with modern teaching methods. The college has a canteen, and the food there is affordable. It has sports facilities like outdoor and indoor games. Overall, the facilities are good and luxurious.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful and provide notes to students in the form of PPTs and resources. They have graduated from good colleges, and many hold a Ph.D. degree. They are approachable as well. There is one teacher per 30 students. They conduct interactive classes.
Other: The fests that happen are best over here. Everyone enjoys a lot. The crowd is also very decent.

My honest college review of Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi.
Placements: Placements are decent overall, with the average package usually ranging between 6 LPA and 8 LPA, while the highest package can go up to 14 LPA-16 LPA depending on the batch and market conditions. Many reputed companies such as Brain, Nation with Namo, KPMG, etc., visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in consulting, marketing, and business development.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good and provides most of the facilities students need. The labs are well-equipped with all the tools required for practical learning, and Wi-Fi is available across the campus with decent connectivity. Classrooms are well-maintained, clean, and have projectors for teaching purposes. The library also has a good collection of books and a study area for self-study.
Faculty: The faculty members have good domain knowledge and are helpful whenever needed, but the teaching pattern varies from one professor to another. The curriculum covers the basics well and is fairly relevant to industry requirements. Semester exams are of moderate difficult if you attend classes regularly and prepare from standard books and PYQs.

The only itinerary you will need for Venkateswara College.
Placements: The overall percentage of students who get placed is about 21%. It is among those eligible to sit for placements after completing the minimum CGPA criteria. The companies that usually come for recruitment are Big 4, Oxane Partners, Google, DE Shaw, etc. The roles for which these companies come are usually related to tax, audit, financial advisory, etc. The placement statistics are not up to the mark, but they can still be considered decent because of the goodwill the college name itself holds. These companies usually do not have specific course-wise offers. The recruitment process is generally the same for all.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty solid. Though it is old, it has plenty of space, and most importantly, the food at the canteen and Maggi Point is goated. The Wi-Fi connectivity is decent, I would say. Labs are well-equipped and well-maintained as well. We have a good two-floor library building. It also includes separate reading room spaces for teachers and students. It is fully air-conditioned, which is the best part during summers. For winters, we have a big ground to get ample sunlight in the cold.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and very serious about the subjects they teach, so there is very little chance of classes getting cancelled. It rarely happens. In terms of quality, I would give them a solid 9/10. The course curriculum is pretty theoretical. It needs more practical exposure, to be honest, as we are in the new age of AI, where we are supposed to rapidly learn and evolve ourselves to stay relevant. The semester exams are very easy. You need to do the PYQs, and you are good to go. It is very easy to score.
Other: The course provides me with an opportunity to study AI because, at the end of the day, AI is based on the fundamentals of mathematics. Combining this with coding and the basics of AI/ML can easily make me industry-relevant. The fest is the best part about our college, something we can brag about, because it is the best fest among all DU colleges and sometimes even better than DTU and NSUT as well.

It is really good compared to private colleges, but lacks infrastructure and curriculum.
Placements: I don't know about the percentage of students who get placed, but top students from B.Com (Hons) usually get good placements. BCG is one of the top recruiters, and the Big 4 regularly come for campus placements. The majority of placements come from B.Com (Hons) and the B.Com Programme. As for internships, an internship fair is organized by the placement cell every year.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is very poor and is mostly only for the name. There are around 100 students in a classroom. There is no AC. The library is decent, but apart from that, the infrastructure is quite poor. When you sit on the benches, you realize that you study in a government college. Water coolers are available, and the water quality is generally good.
Faculty: The curriculum is not really a problem with the college. Rather, it is related to the university. It focuses more on theory. Teachers are mostly from South India. It is sometimes difficult to communicate with them. Apart from some teachers, most of them are not very cooperative and do not listen to students' problems.
Other: B.Com (Hons) is one of the most decorated courses of the college. Nexus, the college fest, is the best thing about the college.
