Comprehensive engineering education with strong infrastructure and supportive faculty at SSMIET.
Placements: I graduated with a B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering in 2024. Approximately 70-80% of students from our batch secure placements. The highest salary package offered is 4.5 LPA, while the lowest is 2.5 LPA. Top recruiters include L&T Construction and Shobana. About 60% of students obtain internships, primarily in local firms and startups. The most common roles offered include Software Developer, QA Engineer, and System Analyst.
Infrastructure: SSMIET boasts a well-maintained campus with modern infrastructure. The Computer Science department is equipped with advanced labs, high-speed Wi-Fi, and smart classrooms. The library is extensive, offering a collection of books and digital resources. The hostel facilities are commendable, with clean rooms accommodating four students each, individual lockers, and daily housekeeping. The annual hostel fee is Rs. 48,000. The mess provides hygienic and diverse meals. Sports facilities include grounds for cricket, football, and indoor games, promoting a balanced student life.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced and approachable, often going beyond the syllabus to ensure students grasp core concepts. The curriculum is aligned with industry standards, incorporating emerging technologies and practical applications. Examinations are moderately challenging, focusing on both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The pass percentage ranges from 80-90%, reflecting the institution’s commitment to academic excellence.
Other: The campus is green and peaceful. There are clubs for Coding, NSS, and sports. The campus is well-connected by road. There are buses to major nearby towns.
