Commonly asked questions On Highlights
Whether SSN School of Management is statistically good for an MBA depends on your priorities and how you define "good." Here's a quick statistical overview:
Positives:
Placements: 95% placement rate for the outgoing batch (2020–22) with top recruiters like Deloitte, HCL, TCS, etc.
Decent average salary: Although specific data is unavailable, students report good starting salaries.
Negatives:
Limited data: Specific ranking data is scarce, making comparisons to other institutions difficult.
Mixed student reviews: Some students praise the academic rigor and learning opportunities, while others mention a high workload and pressure.
Placement Experience:
From the end of the 3rd semester, the placement starts and you should get Min 60+ in cycle tests to become eligible for the interview. Totally 100+ companies came and 95% got placed. The highest package is 7.5 LPA by a federal bank for a Marketing role. Mostly, marketing and sales companies visited the campus and 80% got placed in that domain. I joined ICICI bank after my MBA as a relationship manager.
Remarks:
The admission process is of two methods. One is by TANCET marks and the other one ( Management quota) is by clearing GD and PI conducted by the college. The minimum criteria are getting 60% in graduation and valid CAT, MAT, and TANCET score for management quota. I joined through TANCET where attended counseling conducted by GCT, Coimbatore, and got a seat on 1st day. My Tancet score is 68
Statistically:
- Placement: SSN has a higher average salary (INR 7-8 Lacs p.a.) and a better placement rate (80–90%) compared to RSB (INR 5–6 Lacs p.a. and 70–80%).
- Rankings: SSN consistently ranks higher in national and international MBA rankings compared to RSB.
- Faculty: SSN boasts more experienced and research-oriented faculty compared to RSB.
Overall, SSN statistically edges out RSB for an MBA based on placements, rankings, and faculty.
However, RSB may be more affordable and offer specializations not available at SSN.
