Hindustan University has a great track record of MBA placements. As per the latest report, a total of 218 MBA students were placed out of total 246 students during Hindustan University MBA placements 2024. Further, the average package offered to MBA students during the 2024 placement drive was INR 4.50 LPA. HITS Chennai and HBS Bangalore are both good schools for aviation management. HITS Chennai is a larger school with a more established aviation management programme. The programme is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and the International Association of Airline Training (IATA). Candidates are admitted to the MBA programmes based on Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science Common Aptitude Test (HITSCAT) score. The aptitude exam is conducted by the institute for admission to its non-engineering courses. HITSCAT exam paper is divided into two parts: English and General Knowledge section + multiple choice questions related to the chosen subject. Apart from this for admission, it is also necessary that the aspirants fulfil the prescribed eligibility requirements. 

HITS offers various scholarships to students belonging to the SC/ ST/ EWS category. Meritorious students are also given the privilege of scholarships. Some of the Hindustan University scholarships are as follows:

• SC/ ST Scholarship Government of India: Candidates, who belong to Tamil Nadu and have completed Class 12, are eligible for this scholarship. The annual income of the parents should not exceed INR 1 LPA. The candidates should not be in receipt of another scholarship/assistance from other sources. The scholarship can be renewed every year.
• Merit cum Means Scholarship: The top scorers in Class 12 are awarded financial aid to pursue their higher studies in HITS. This scholarship is aimed at meritorious students from weaker sections.
• Sports Scholarship: It gives special importance to the students who have excelled in sports over the years under its Sports Quota.
• Dr Elizabeth Verghese Founder Scholarship: This scholarship has been instituted to empower girls with academic potential to pursue higher education and those who are from lower-income families.
• Merit Scholarship: The institute offers a tuition fee waiver for meritorious students.

HITS Chennai has a seat intake of 60 for its MBA in Aviation Management course. Candidate are admitted as per sanctioned seat count and scores in HITSCAT.
