St John’s Medical College accept NEET-UG for MBBS and KCET for BSc Nursing. However, for some of the courses, like BPT, MSc, candidates have to take the entrance exam conducted by the college. St John's Medical College, Bangalore was established in 1963 by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India (CBCI). The college is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. St John’s National Academy of Health Sciences has been recognised by the NAAC and is approved by MCI, Government of Karnataka, the nursing college under it is recognised by Indian Nursing Council and Karnataka Nursing Council. The college has been ranked 19 by NIRF 2023 among the top Medical colleges in India with a score of 60.49. St John's Medical College offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Super Specialty, and Doctoral courses in the field of Medicine, Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences. St John's Medical College is popular for its MBBS course. Candidates can enrol in the MBBS course by taking the NEET exam.

ST Jon's Medical College will soon announce the admission dates for BSc courses online. BSc 2026 admission registration is expected to start in March 2026. Students can check the college website for all the latest information. The college offers BSc in Allied Health Science.

Christian Medical College is an unaided, Christian minority institute that was established in 1918. Christian Medical College Vellore is approved by MCI, accredited by NABH, and has an attached 2,500 bedded hospital. Some of the courses are accredited by AERB (Atomic Energy Regulatory Board), India and the Microbiology laboratory is an NABL-accredited laboratory. Christian Medical College Vellore is ranked three by NIRF 2023 under the Medical Colleges category. CMC Vellore, through various departments, offers UG, PG, diploma, and various other courses to students across the Medicine, Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, and various other streams. Christian Medical College Vellore also offers distance education to students.

The total seat intake for two-year SJMC MHA programme is 30. This is as per the SJMC Allied Health Sciences Admission Bulletin 2023. Details related to the reservation policy are not mentioned in the brochure. Aspirants can reach out to the admission office to get details regarding the reservation policy.

Of all the courses, MSc/ MHA recorded a 100% placement rate during the 2022 drive. For PG (3-year) courses, the 2022 placement rate stood at 97%. When comparing the last three years' data, a fluctuating trend was recorded in the placement rate of MSc/ MHA and PG (3-year) courses. The same is depicted below:

The college has not released the 2022 statistics. However, the NIRF report 2022 is out, according to which 42 MSc/ MHA and 63 PG (3 years) students were placed during St John’s Medical College placements 2021. The median package offered to MSc/ MHA students was INR 2.40 LPA and for PG (3 years), it was INR 12 LPA.
